About: My wife and I are a military family with a daughter, and we understand that pets are family. With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, we provide a safe, loving, and reliable environment for your furry baby while you’re away. We treat every pet as if they were our own and look forward to welcoming them into our home with plenty of love, attention, and care. I work fully remote from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and care throughout the day. Because I am home nearly 24/7, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and affection. Unlike sitters who are away for long work shifts, I am available to monitor your furry baby throughout the day and quickly respond to their needs. My flexible schedule helps ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Your furry baby will enjoy a safe, welcoming environment with plenty of room to play and relax. We have a fully fenced backyard, providing a secure space for supervised outdoor play, exercise, and potty breaks. We also have two friendly dogs of our own: * An 8-year-old female Australian Shepherd who is gentle, well-socialized, and accustomed to being around other dogs. * A 6-month-old Dachshund (wiener dog) who is playful, friendly, and loves making new friends. We understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so we take the time to ensure introductions are done safely and at a pace that helps everyone feel comfortable. Our goal is to create a fun, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels right at home and becomes part of the family during their stay.

“I highly recommend Alan. From the very beginning he made me feel comfortable and at ease about leaving my dog. He was attentive, sending videos and pictures throughout Toby’s stay. Toby came home a very happy camper!”

“Loooove Kellie and her family!! Over the past 11 years, I’ve resided in numerous states with my pup and have tried a TON of sitters. None compare to the experience at Kellie’s home. This statement coming from myself is not expressed lightly as I am the definition of a ‘crazy dog mom’. Naturally, I get high anxiety having to leave my pup behind during travel as I typically try and take her everywhere. Since moving to TX, it only took one stay with Kellie for me to realize that there is no one else I’d rather use exclusively to care for Storm while I am away. During the stay, Kellie keeps me posted on daily activities and provides photos. Aside from this, what I love the most are the detailed written updates as it just warms my heart to hear of my pups personality, goofy habits and funky quirks coming out during the stay which really shows how cozy and at my home Storm is with Kellie. As for this crazy dog mom, I am at ease knowing my Stormy girl is always going to be in good caring hands with Kellie.”

About: My pet-care journey began in 2019 after moving in with a friend who owned four adorable pugs and regularly fostered rescued pups. She taught me so much about patience, routines and how to make every pup feel genuinely safe and loved. Ever since, friends and family have trusted me to walk, feed and care for their pets when they're away. And in 2024, I welcomed my own doodle into my life - caring for him has deepened my love for dogs in the sweetest way and look forward to treating your furry friend like family. ***REGULAR HOURS OF OPERATION*** 7 AM - 9 PM CST Note: Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can host dogs during the week or on weekends. Your pup will get regular short walks, frequent potty breaks, and lots of love and supervision throughout the day. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play safely and comfortably. Your dog will have a friendly companion, and I can crate either dog to ensure everyone feels secure. I supervise all playtime and interactions closely, provide plenty of attention, and follow your pet's routines so they feel safe, happy, and right at home while you're away. Regular pup selfies and photos will be shared throughout their stay to show they're happy, safe, and having a great time.

“Our baby girl Novix Ann LOVES(3 month old baby husky)going to Roy's for doggy daycare! Him and his roommate do such a wonderful job at the daycare. At first we where hesitant to leave our baby Husky with someone we did not know but Roy quickly made us and our puppy feel welcome! Roy sent us continuous updates and pictures of our puppy throughout the day! He is super sweet and so knowledgeable! I have highly recommended him to every furparent we know! When we leave Novix Ann for daycare she comes back home and sleeps through the entire night due to all the fun she had playing at daycare!”

About: Working from home allows me to give every animal in my care the attention and love they need as well as the flexibility to work with parents schedules. 10 years of experience working with dogs and cats both high energy, shy/nervous, needing extra attention, dogs who need separation from other dogs, both small and large! I have plenty of space in the back yard as well as toys both inside and out to make sure every fur baby is able to get their zoomies out, plenty of play time and comfort inside my home as well! I do not kennel any dogs unless the parents state that they need to be at any specific time for any reason. I want to provide a stress free experience where both fur babies and parents are taken care of. I want parents to feel confident in knowing their babies are safe and I will treat them as if they were my own babies, I taught my dog, to be able to go to the dog parks and be social nonaggressive. I specifically taught him to be gentle with cats and dogs growing up so he loves everyone. I do have extra space in my home so if someone needs to be separated or have a little bit of some space way while receiving the same quality care, they are able to have that! If I go into your home it is specifically to give the babies play times with any toys you allow me to use and just show them the same loving and petting I would for my babies. 🐾 If you have a questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to ask I am here to help you have a peace of mind! ☺️ I work from home so I am actively able to provide daily outside playtime and potty time during the day and some much needed sun bathes for the sun bathers. I am able to provide a good feed schedule as well treat times! It is a pleasure to be able to work from home and effectively care to the needs of each furbaby! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. With my experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your furry family members!❤️ I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and individual needs to ensure every pet receives personalized care, patience, and plenty of affection. I believe communication is extremely important, so I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos, and check ins for peace of mind. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, young, or senior, I strive to make them feel secure, loved, and at home in my care. 🐾
“Marci was very sweet and responded quickly to my last minute request. She sent updates and photos throughout the day and communicated well. I will request days with her in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m a former special education teacher who has spent my career caring for others with patience, responsibility, and compassion. I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. About: I am a behavioral health case manager who works at home and has breaks throughout the day. I will only watch one dog at a time (unless from the same family) to help with the stress level of your pet. Must be potty trained or provide potty diapers if needed, and be able to get along with other dogs please. My dog is a 2.5 year old King Charles Cavilier. She is friendly, timid and very sweet. She gets along well with other dogs. If your dog doesn’t “overly” shed I will allow them to sleep in my bed if that will help them to feel safe. Depends on your rules. You are welcome to come see my place before booking. Clean home while welcoming to animals. 💜🐶 I work at home full time with various hours each day of the week. I have a flexible schedule and go on walks throughout the day. I live in a condo in uptown which has a small backyard. We are near Katy Trail and Turtle Creek. We take short or long walks depending on how hot it is.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - DeSoto
I love the fact that Tabitha was willing to work with me and accepted Bella last minute. My girl is not a super friendly dog(stand offish) but when we both met Tabitha for the 1st time she instantly went to her and cuddled up in her arms. It made me feel so much more at ease. I checked on Bella that day and Tabitha had no problem updating me about Bella and even sent pictures and videos. She immediately responded when I reached out and it made me being away from Bella easier. She played so hard that day when I picked her up she was worn out lol. My baby had a time got to experience other dogs and that was a beautiful thing! I definitely recommend Tabitha!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
