About: I have 17 years of pet experience. I had two of my own that have since passed away at the old age of 15. I now work from home and take care of my brothers dog while he works. Zuko is his name and he loved playing with other dogs, so would love to help other parents with daycare and a plus Zuko gets a play mate and your baby gets cuddles and walks. I work from home, your pet could hang out with me on the couch or in my office or wherever I am working from. I also go on a morning and afternoon walk around the neighborhood. I also have a secure backyard they can run around in. I have a fenced yard and a three year old rat terrier that makes a great play mate. Make sure to bring their packed lunch and leash for morning walk.

“Our baby girl Novix Ann LOVES(3 month old baby husky)going to Roy's for doggy daycare! Him and his roommate do such a wonderful job at the daycare. At first we where hesitant to leave our baby Husky with someone we did not know but Roy quickly made us and our puppy feel welcome! Roy sent us continuous updates and pictures of our puppy throughout the day! He is super sweet and so knowledgeable! I have highly recommended him to every furparent we know! When we leave Novix Ann for daycare she comes back home and sleeps through the entire night due to all the fun she had playing at daycare!”

“Tainara is wonderful with my dog. She is very flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Tainara always attaches pictures from each day. She loves the dogs like her own. Great communication. Would highly recommend Tainara.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16 with our own family dog that was a Yorkie. My husband and I have a labradoodle named Peach that 3 years old now. We take her on morning, afternoon, and evening walks and she is potty trained. Since I work from home, I have more time now to enjoy taking care of our Peach. I work from home full time so I have plenty of time to focus on your dogs needs! I am also available for boarding your dogs on the weekdays/weekends. We have a huge backyard that’s gated and our Peach is great with other dogs. We allow dogs on the couches and beds. We take her outside every 3-4 hours so we would do the same for your pets!
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ody had such a wonderful day with Lexington! Communication was great throughout the day, and it was clear that Ody was well looked after and happy. He came home relaxed and content, which always tells me he had a good experience. I really appreciate the attention, patience, and kindness shown to him. I would absolutely trust Lexington with Ody again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter for their pup. 🐾”

About: I have had pets my whole life. I love being around animals and caring for them. I currently own a Goldendoodle who is part of my family. Taking care of her has been such a joy. I work part time so I’m very much available for any of your pets’ needs. I have a daughter but she is in school so I am free during during the time she is at school. I am also free some evenings and weekends as well. As a pet owner myself, ensuring the wellbeing of your pet is my top priority. I will always make sure they’re more than good. Safety and play time is very important to me.

About: As experienced dog owners who both work from home, we provide constant supervision, personalized care, and plenty of playtime in our spacious home and backyard. We understand every dog has unique needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Since we both work from home full-time, caring for dogs easily fits into our routine. We have flexible workdays, plenty of downtime for walks and play, and love having dogs as a fun distraction during the day. With a large fenced backyard and lots of indoor space to roam or nap, dogs get both attention and comfort while they’re here. Safety and comfort are our top priorities. Because we both work from home, dogs are supervised throughout the day and are never left alone for long periods. Our home is spacious, clean, and pet-friendly, with plenty of room to play or relax. We also have a large fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and exercise. We follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they feel comfortable and at home.
“Very satisfied! The overall process was smooth and seamless. Due to a death in the family, we were unable to do a meet & greet, but our dog Dudley took to them so easily. He came home happy and full of energy. I think we have found the perfect sitter!”

“My husband and I were in Dallas for Valentines day and we brought our two dogs for our stay, however we overlooked the details on one of our plans and the time we had to check out of our Air BnB. Tyler was gracious enough to sit both of my dogs in short notice and they had a blast. If we're ever in need of sitting services in Dallas again, we will absolutely be going with Tyler!”

“I highly recommend Alan. From the very beginning he made me feel comfortable and at ease about leaving my dog. He was attentive, sending videos and pictures throughout Toby’s stay. Toby came home a very happy camper!”

About: Ever since I was a child, I have grown up around dogs. Our childhood house was always the house where dogs were always welcome. Fast forward to my own house, own pups, and it’s the same hospitality. Our house is the ultimate doggy day care and hotel with a yard, doggy door (for those smarter pups), and local park to walk and play at. Safety is a top priority for my pup, and those I watch. I treat every dog like my own and know our precious babies are irreplaceable. PS, I’m the guy who plays dog tv for Ari, my golden retriever. Currently work from home with my wife. Plenty of free time to walk, fetch and snuggle. I live near the airport so we are an easy drop off for travelers. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood. We have a fenced yard with a tall fence. We have dog sat dogs of all sizes and tempers and have a good sense of social skills and situations. We have hosted up to 5 dogs in our house at once and know to separate social time from rest time.
“Very happy to have found such a nice person to take care of Calvin. This is my very first time using Rover and I’m so happy to have such a positive experience. Thank you Veronica!!”

“Susan took great care of Mina and Katana. This is the 2nd time Susan has cared for the girls and we will definitely be going back. Susan kept me updated throughout the day, made sure the girls were fed on schedule, and allowed them to play with her other dogs. Thank you again Susan for all your help and kindness.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cockrell Hill
Our pup (Riley) spent a few days with Katelyn and her husband for daycare while my fiance and I went back to work in person. Riley would get so excited to go to their house every morning and never wanted to leave. We’ve used them before for boarding and definitely plan to use them again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
