About: I have had pets my whole life. I love being around animals and caring for them. I currently own a Goldendoodle who is part of my family. Taking care of her has been such a joy. I work part time so I’m very much available for any of your pets’ needs. I have a daughter but she is in school so I am free during during the time she is at school. I am also free some evenings and weekends as well. As a pet owner myself, ensuring the wellbeing of your pet is my top priority. I will always make sure they’re more than good. Safety and play time is very important to me.
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with Miriam. She is so kind and patient and worked closely with us to create a safe and comfortable environment for our dogs. They are still learning to socialize and adapt to new settings but I was so impressed with all of the progress they made with her in only six hours. She even sent us videos during the day and gave us regular updates. After picking them up, they did not seem stressed at all and were very calm and exhausted (in a good way!). We look forward to more daycares and potential boards in the near future.”

“Jack was so excited to go to daycare and see all his friends. Tail wagging as we walk up to the door every morning. I love seeing pictures of him playing and getting exercise with other pups.”
“Tainara is wonderful with my dog. She is very flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Tainara always attaches pictures from each day. She loves the dogs like her own. Great communication. Would highly recommend Tainara.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16 with our own family dog that was a Yorkie. My husband and I have a labradoodle named Peach that 3 years old now. We take her on morning, afternoon, and evening walks and she is potty trained. Since I work from home, I have more time now to enjoy taking care of our Peach. I work from home full time so I have plenty of time to focus on your dogs needs! I am also available for boarding your dogs on the weekdays/weekends. We have a huge backyard that’s gated and our Peach is great with other dogs. We allow dogs on the couches and beds. We take her outside every 3-4 hours so we would do the same for your pets!
About: Hi! I’m a former special education teacher who has spent my career caring for others with patience, responsibility, and compassion. As a lifelong dog lover and proud Yorkie mom, I understand that pets are family. I have experience caring for small dogs, puppies, and senior dogs, including administering medications (insulin) and providing extra attention to pets with special needs. Whether your pup needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m home full-time, which means I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, overnight care, or extra playtime, I’ll make sure they receive the love, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have two friendly, vaccinated Yorkies who are used to being around other dogs, and I always introduce pets slowly to ensure everyone is comfortable. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and routines. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Hi! I’m Shannie, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up with my sweet dog, Reese’s a Pomeranian, who was part of my family from fifth grade through my sophomore year of college. Having him taught me that pets aren’t “just animals” they’re family, and that’s exactly how I’ll treat yours. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, whether that meant feeding them, taking them on walks, playing fetch, giving them lots of love and attention, or simply keeping them company while their owners were away. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Caring for pets fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I make sure every dog gets plenty of attention, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I typically take dogs outside every 2–4 hours (or more often if they’re puppies or have specific needs) and always follow the schedule and routine their owners provide. Whether your pup is energetic or prefers relaxing cuddles, I’m happy to adjust to what makes them happiest. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours (or more often for puppies or dogs with specific needs), always keep fresh water available, and wipe paws after walks to help keep your pup clean and comfortable. I’m also comfortable using harnesses, crates if requested, and reinforcing any training you’re already working on. I’ve even taught a few dogs basic commands like “sit” and “shake.” While you’re away, you’ll never have to wonder how your furry family member is doing. I’ll send regular photo and video updates so you can see all the fun they’re having and know they’re happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Not only do we have two pets back home at my parents house but I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10 years old Hi! I’m back in Dallas and excited to be offering pet sitting and dog walking again. I took some time away while I was living elsewhere, but now that I’m back in the area I’d love to reconnect with pet parents and meet some new furry friends! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Now that I work fully remote, I’m home most of the day, which means your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles instead of being left alone. I’m available for boarding, drop-ins, and walks, and my schedule is super flexible. I’m happy to step away from work to take dogs out, play, or give them some extra love — because I know how important routine and companionship are when you’re away. I’m big on communication too, so expect photo updates and check-ins while you’re gone. I have security system at my home and a fence so the animals are safe here. As someone that has watched dogs since I was a child, I’m very very empathetic and listen to their queues

“Nyree and her husband were very communicative and kind. They sent me photos throughout the day and Strudel had a great time! I’ll definitely use them as sitters again!”

“Reagan was phenomenal! The attention my Frieden received was superior. I waited a little longer than usual to write my review because I wanted to give a fair and just review. It was the first time I had left my Frieden with a sitter, as my family usually takes care of him. I was very emotional when I left him with Reagan. However, I have to say that Frieden was in much better hands with Reagan. When I arrived, Reagan took my baby from me as Frieden was shaking and nervous. But once Frieden was in Regan's arms, he became completely relaxed. Reagan was very accommodating and provided a safe and engaging environment for Frieden to play and roam around. It was a significant relief for both me and my baby. When I picked up Frieden, he fell asleep in his car seat on the way home, a first. I cannot express how grateful I am to Reagan for taking such good care of my baby. Reagan was attentive, professional, nurturing, accommodating, and had positive energy. I instantly knew that Frieden was in loving and safe hands and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Thank you, Regan, for loving my baby and keeping me in touch with him while in your care. True professionalism with pure love. MSG. Keith Clark, Jane & Frieden Clark”

“Best sitter one could ask for. Tyler is super professional and reliable and has a lovely home with a great backyard and friendly dogs that mine loves to play with.”

About: Ever since I was a child, I have grown up around dogs. Our childhood house was always the house where dogs were always welcome. Fast forward to my own house, own pups, and it’s the same hospitality. Our house is the ultimate doggy day care and hotel with a yard, doggy door (for those smarter pups), and local park to walk and play at. Safety is a top priority for my pup, and those I watch. I treat every dog like my own and know our precious babies are irreplaceable. PS, I’m the guy who plays dog tv for Ari, my golden retriever. Currently work from home with my wife. Plenty of free time to walk, fetch and snuggle. I live near the airport so we are an easy drop off for travelers. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood. We have a fenced yard with a tall fence. We have dog sat dogs of all sizes and tempers and have a good sense of social skills and situations. We have hosted up to 5 dogs in our house at once and know to separate social time from rest time.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cockrell Hill
Our pup (Riley) spent a few days with Katelyn and her husband for daycare while my fiance and I went back to work in person. Riley would get so excited to go to their house every morning and never wanted to leave. We’ve used them before for boarding and definitely plan to use them again!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
