“Kaylan was awesome! She communicated right from the meet and greet to the actual weekend when she watched my two pups! One of my pups has severe anxiety and Kaylan was very patient with her. She provided me ample pictures and kept updating me throughout the weekend. She left my home tidy and my pups were relaxed when I got back home! She even got my anxious dog to cuddle with her on the couch! Great sitter! Great every! Definitely recommend to other pet parents!”

About: I have experience caring for other people’s pets and genuinely enjoy providing them with attentive, loving care. I have cared for my boss’s two dogs and have been the trusted caregiver for my close friend’s dog, Charlie, whenever she travels to India. Charlie and I spend several weeks together during her trips, and I have been caring for him consistently for over four years. I understand the importance of maintaining pets’ routines, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention, and making them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to give owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in good hands. I am currently working full-time. My weekend availability includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and I am happy to care for pets during this time. As the owner of two pets, I have a deep affection for animals and am eager to devote some of my free time to their care. I am presently unable to care for additional pets at my residence. I currently live in an apartment with 2 pets. I am open to traveling to you for improved care options.
“I’m a fur mom of three dogs and a cat. I’ve been an animal shelter & rescue volunteer for as long as I can remember. I’ve been a Rover sitter for many years as well. All of that means I have some high expectations for the people I choose to take care of our crew. To be frank, we haven’t had the best experiences with pet sitters lately. What initially drew me to Madeline and Isaiah was their combined experience and obvious love and respect for animals. Being semi retired now I’m home quite a bit, so their availability and flexibility was also important to us. Madeleine and Isaiah exceeded our expectations in every category. They were communicative, attentive, trustworthy & sensitive to the needs of our crew. Our fur fam may be perfect to us but they can be high energy and high maintenance. These two seemed to handle them with ease. The house was immaculate when we returned as well. Madeleine & Isaiah will be our go-to sitters from now on.”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dogs in Ann’s care!! She kept me updated consistently and seemed to really care about my pups!! She also left the house in great condition. Can’t say enough good things about the experience!”

“Keri was absolutely fantastic! She took great care of my home and my cat while I was away. Communication was consistent and thoughtful, with regular updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. My cat was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for when I returned, and my house was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter, and I would gladly book them again.”

“J was awesome. We contacted J last minutes because our normal sitter cancelled. J was willing to stay in our home overnight for 9 days/8 nights. “Shelbi was absolutely amazing while we were away for 10 days. She took incredible care of our dogs and our home, kept us updated, and gave us real peace of mind the entire trip. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and treats them like her own. Coming home to happy dogs and everything in perfect shape made the end of vacation so much easier. We would 100% book with Shelbi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring Rover sitter.”

“Ashley was an exceptional communicator from our initial chat throughout her time with Athena. Ashley arrived at our hotel early, was enthusiastic and ready to met Athena and stay with her . While we were away, Ashley maintained contact with us via texts, sharing updates and photos of Athena playing and hanging-out. My wife and I had complete confidence in Ashley’s care while away. We will ask Ashley to assist during future trips and strongly recommend her services!”

“Querhea is an absolute delight and pleasure to work with. She took care of my babies while I was in surgery and they love her. She even stayed past her scheduled time until we got home from surgery the next day. I will be booking her for all our family needs”

“Ethan is a very friendly, kind young man! He gave our dog outside time, fresh water, and cuddles. Ethan had an urgent matter to tend to, and he made sure our pup's needs were met according to her schedule.”

“Amy was a wonderful sitter! We were gone for 4 days and she continuously sent us updates and pictures! When we came home the dogs were so happy to see us and the house was just as we left it. We will definitely be using her again for our doggies because they absolutely LOVED her!”

“Peggy was wonderful! She was so sweet and patient with our little goofballs. Both dogs and the house were very well cared for. We would definitely recommend Peggy to others and will book her again for sure👍🏻👍🏻”

“Cady was seriously so amazing!!! She took time to come meet us beforehand and give my old chihuahua time to warm up to her. He is very scared of new people and she was so patient and kind with him, letting him approach heron his own time. She was very attentive with both the house information and details about our dog. She asked questions and communicated really well with me the entire time we were gone. She even sent adorable pictures! Not to mention she kept our house perfectly clean, as if no one was even there while we were gone! I 100% will refer my friends to Cady and we will definitely rebook in the future. Thank you, Cady!”

About: My wife and I are huge pet lovers. She's been doing pet foster care since she was young and I've had the privelage of owning a few animals myself. I absolutely love being around animals of all kinds and loving on them as I would my own. We also have experience with medication administration. We're flexible and adaptable and here for your fur babies! If your fur babies like to be around other animals we have a very loving dog who loves all animals and loves to play. I look forward to speaking with you and getting to know your pets! Ally is a stay at home mom, though she does have a job that takes her away periodically she's at home the majority of the time so there is almost always someone available to give the animals the love and attention they deserve. We have a fenced yard with some space to run and stretch or get some fresh air. Sometimes we take multiple dogs at a time but not normally. If separation is required a crate is preferred but we do have extra rooms and baby gates to give the dogs their own space is we need to leave the house or for sleeping hours.
The median cost per night for house sitting in North Richland Hills is $50

My 2dogs/1 cat were in great hands with Michaela. She sent an update and pictures everytime she visited! Them being at home, going to nearby dog park, and playing really helped with their comfort and happiness. I appreciate her attentiveness and had good peace of mind while away. Kaylee was wonderful! She communicated very well and paid attention to every detail. I could tell Picasso had a great time and was well cared for because, after Kaylee left, he slept for almost two hours—something that rarely happens because of his separation anxiety. I would definitely trust Kaylee with Picasso again and will absolutely be using her services in the future!

Miranda was exceptional from start to finish. We were away for two weeks and trusted her to care for our 3 dogs, and she exceeded every expectation. Miranda's level of professionalism, consistency, and reliability gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation. Miranda also sent us photos of the dogs every day, which we really appreciated. It was reassuring to see them happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for while we were away. We would book Miranda again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding care for their pets.

Very dependable, communication was great and she is very nice and responsible. She took great care of my puppy while I was away and spent a good amount of time with him on walks and played a lot. I appreciate Iman and would definitely book again a great sitter! 🐾💛

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Richland Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Richland Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Richland Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
