“Kaylan was awesome! She communicated right from the meet and greet to the actual weekend when she watched my two pups! One of my pups has severe anxiety and Kaylan was very patient with her. She provided me ample pictures and kept updating me throughout the weekend. She left my home tidy and my pups were relaxed when I got back home! She even got my anxious dog to cuddle with her on the couch! Great sitter! Great every! Definitely recommend to other pet parents!”

“Theresa was an excellent house/dog sitter who works remotely and thus was at our home much of the time. Communication was excellent. We will definitely hire her again.”

About: My name is Haylee. I have had a love for animals all my life, ever since I got my first cat when I was six. I have pet-sitted and owned many pets over the years and I appreciate them all so much. I have experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, and reptiles. I am currently in long distance college classes, so I am able to come visit during the day. I am freely available to visit during work hours and take care of your pet. I care for the pet in the way laid out in your instructions! Making sure they walk and get their medicine and play as needed. I don't feed or give any snacks not expressly allowed by the owner!

“Bree did an excellent job looking over our little guy. She is very knowledgeable about puppies and we would recommend her to anyone who needs help with their pets.”

“If I could I would give Claire 50 stars!!!! She is so great! She stayed at my home with my dog and I got lots of photos and updates. I returned to a relaxed happy dog and the house was neat and clean. Just a wonderful sitter!”

“Hannah was great with our girls arrived on time and was informative through her visit. I instantly felt at ease with her in our home as though we had been old friends. I would for sure use her in the near future. Thank you Hannah!!!”
About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm going this as a side hustle to get a down payment for a house for my husband and myself. I would love to walk your dog and/or love your cat! I love my morning walks and going with a furry friend would make it all the better! I've grown up with dogs and cats in the family for over 20 years of my life. I grew up with a black lab/Australian shepherd mix and a black lab/Chao mix, and have had several other breeds of dogs since then. I've raised many breeds of cats over the years, even some from birth. I've seen several litters being born and have bottle fed runt puppies and kittens back to health. I have always kept them healthy and loved! I am glad to stay in good communication with you to provide all the support you and your furry loved one needs. I go on a daily morning walk as often as I can, so having a furry walking or running buddy would only add joy to the start of my day! I work in the afternoons and evenings so walks will need to be before 12pm. For walking, I can walk or run with your pet for whatever best suites their needs. For home sitting, I can take your furry family member out as often as they need for restroom breaks or walks or just some fresh air.
About: I too, use Rover when I have to travel. I thought it would be great to Pup/Pet-sit traveling. Pets are my Zen and comedy show! I am a Pro Sports Recovery Provider and I have a flexible schedule. This allows for multiple walks and extra play time and cuddles too. I follow instructions as indicated. I mind the Parent do & don'ts for their fur baby. I keep the established routine and communicate as requested.

“Amanda did a fantastic job house and pet sitting our three dogs and cat. She is attentive, reliable and sent updates and pictures. I highly recommend hiring Amanda to look after your home and pet children!!”

About: I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and currently share my life with a pet of my own. Because of that, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your dog the way you would. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for both quick drop-in visits and longer one-on-one time. When I’m with your pup, I’ll treat them like part of the family—whether that means going for a walk, playing fetch, or just giving them calm company. I’m insured, experienced, and respectful of the routines you already have in place—feeding, exercise, or special care like medication. For me, pet sitting isn’t just something I do on the side—it’s a genuine part of my everyday life with animals. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend. Pet care is a flexible part of my daily routine. I make time for walks, play, and attention around my schedule, and I can adjust to fit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s regular visits, drop-ins, or longer stays, I prioritize consistency and make sure your pet gets the care and companionship they need. I prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. In my home or yours, they’re supervised, have fresh water, and enjoy a calm, secure environment. I follow your routines for feeding, exercise, or medication, and keep you updated so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for.

“Martin has been caring for Elliott for a few years now so I knew when I reached out for a last minute booking he would be well taken care of! In the past I would’ve dropped Elliott off but since Martin is no longer taking in those requests I asked for him to care for him at my apartment. It went phenomenally! He arrived to my house early and I was able to give him a rundown of the apartment and all of Elliott’s care instructions. Once I left, Martin was very responsive and would send me pictures as well throughout the day. Upon us returning, Martin was waiting at my apartment and he informed me that he had also already taken him out on his daily walk which was amazing since it’s been raining! As always Martin was amazing and very responsible.”

“Chanel was wonderful will my babies. She watched all five of my animals (2 dogs and 3 cats) so she definitely had her hands full and she was still able to send me updates multiple times a day. My babies loved her and I will definitely be using her services again.”

About: I have experience taking care of a dog with dementia (my own pet), puppies, I currently help take care of a 14 year-old lab with cancer so I understand love and compassion but above all the work that it takes to make sure a dog is comfortable and as happy as possible. I will currently be available full-time for the care of your pet. I will be available during the week and weekends and will be able to take care of your pet. Should you need to go on a business trip or should you go on a much-needed vacation? I have a fenced yard with two friendly dogs and will be more than happy to have check-in’s with camera so pet parents are comfortable about where their pet is staying.
“Peggy was wonderful! She was so sweet and patient with our little goofballs. Both dogs and the house were very well cared for. We would definitely recommend Peggy to others and will book her again for sure👍🏻👍🏻”

“Mikayla did a great job watching my girls! I felt very confident leaving my girls and home in her care which is a wonderful feeling when you have to travel and can’t take them with you! I really appreciated the pictures, updates and clear communications before, during and after her visit. Thank you again Mikayla!”

“Cady has been such a savior for us and we cannot say enough good things about her! My pup had an injury and less than 10 hours from when we had to leave we needed someone to care for her 24/7 as she could not walk properly and was in pain. Cady responded immediately and even made time in her schedule for a quick visit so we could all get acquainted. She went above and beyond for our pup even helping us communicate with the vet and get medication. She gave her the attention and care she needed and helped nurse her back to her normal self. It broke our heart leaving our pup in that state but Cady was constantly checking in and providing updates and being flexible with our pups need. I will be thankful for how she stepped in so last minute and provided top tier care and will definitely be contacting her and recommending her to care for any furry friends!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Colleyville
Awesome!! Highly recommend!! Claire house sat for us and took care of our 3 dogs while we took a long, much needed vacation. We were apprehensive having someone we didn't know stay at the house and care for our pups but our fears were unfounded. She was able to help us out on short notice and during 4th of July. She showed on time for our first meeting and was early on the day we left. Communication was excellent and she sent photos twice a day. This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier with the decision. Thank you Claire.
Allison did a great job staying with and caring for our 9 yr old miniature Australian shepherd, Daxter! She started out very responsive to all of our communications and continued our conversations throughout her stay. We got daily pictures of all the fun they were having and asked great questions to further help the comfort of Daxter. She left our home in excellent condition and we were happy to find our baby boy in great shape and anxiety free. We’d definitely recommend her to others and hire her again in the future!

Jose was absolutely WONDERFUL! I don’t even know where to begin he constantly updated us with photos of the pups as well as took them on walks and played with them. We even came back to a cleaner home than we had left it for him. 😊 Definitely will be using him again and recommending to friends and family.
Absolutely amazing!! She came through 100% I had a last minute situation come up in the AM and by the PM Lola was already over at my house, ready to rock! I felt at ease the whole time I was away, she communicated great with how my furbabies were and kept me comfortable knowing they are in the best hands <3 Highly recommend Lola!!

Very dependable, communication was great and she is very nice and responsible. She took great care of my puppy while I was away and spent a good amount of time with him on walks and played a lot. I appreciate Iman and would definitely book again a great sitter! 🐾💛

Loanne and John were nothing but amazing! They sent multiple daily updates and pictures, and provided the best care to our two pups. One of our pups is going through some sleep issues and they were so patient with him and his needs. We felt so comfortable and at ease while we were away and are so thankful we found them!! We will definitely use their services again!

Natalie was very attentive, trusting and also gave updates consistently through the stay. She also made sure he got lots of play time and walks and followed my instructions of care great. Thank you again for being so caring and a great sitter for my puppy! Definitely would book again to care for Kaine.

In a sea of amateur pet sitters, Symone stands out as a true professional in the industry. She runs her small business like a pro. She’s communicative, responsible, trustworthy, experienced, and pleasant. We used her twice in 6 weeks and both times she went the extra mile, taking care of our home and pets during the ice storm and remembering things like leaving faucets dripping during the ice storm and leaving calm dog tv on for our pup. She was patient with our pup during the meet greet as he can be reactive and he loved her. We will use her every time we need a sitter as she is the best we have found. Our home always feels clean and smells great after her visits. Can’t recommend her enough!

Melissa was absolutely fantastic. She was very punctual, attentive and caring. She communicated very well about Chacha’s general well being and eating habits. Melissa treated Chacha as her own, allowing me to get away without worrying about how Chacha was doing. I would recommend Melissa to anyone and will use her again in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Colleyville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Colleyville on Rover is $49.93 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,241 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Colleyville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Colleyville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Colleyville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Colleyville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
