“Kaylan was awesome! She communicated right from the meet and greet to the actual weekend when she watched my two pups! One of my pups has severe anxiety and Kaylan was very patient with her. “Alice provided wonderful care to my dog and 2 cats. She went above and beyond from start to finish. The regular updates gave me complete peace of mind — it was clear our animals were happy, comfortable, and in great hands. She also treated my home with total respect. Everything was exactly as I left it when I returned. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibility seriously. We will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring pet sitter.”
About: Hi! I go by Ollie. I love to care for animals! I have trained a border collie pup that is now 4 years old and I also have 2 other dogs, both rescues. I have lots of experience from volunteering, 4 years kennel tech senior staff, and handling all breeds/sizes/temperaments. I have handled daycare groups of up to 25 dogs and know a lot about dog behaviors. I also take professional photos! I work part time Tuesday-Thursday and can do evenings after 4pm every day of the week. Open weekend availability. Can do overnight Friday-Monday. More open availability with short walks and drop ins Maintaining a comfortable safe environment is top priority. Having 3 dogs and having 4 years in the pet industry teaches you signs and behaviors and different play styles. I care for any pets like my own and provide message photos and check ins and any health concerns. I am also able to work on certain behaviors and try to help in any way I can.
“Keri was absolutely fantastic! She took great care of my home and my cat while I was away. Communication was consistent and thoughtful, with regular updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. My cat was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for when I returned, and my house was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter, and I would gladly book them again.”

About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm going this as a side hustle to get a down payment for a house for my husband and myself. I would love to walk your dog and/or love your cat! I love my morning walks and going with a furry friend would make it all the better! I've grown up with dogs and cats in the family for over 20 years of my life. I grew up with a black lab/Australian shepherd mix and a black lab/Chao mix, and have had several other breeds of dogs since then. I've raised many breeds of cats over the years, even some from birth. I've seen several litters being born and have bottle fed runt puppies and kittens back to health. I have always kept them healthy and loved! I am glad to stay in good communication with you to provide all the support you and your furry loved one needs. I go on a daily morning walk as often as I can, so having a furry walking or running buddy would only add joy to the start of my day! I work in the afternoons and evenings so walks will need to be before 12pm. For walking, I can walk or run with your pet for whatever best suites their needs. For home sitting, I can take your furry family member out as often as they need for restroom breaks or walks or just some fresh air.
“Kayla did a great job taking care of Odin! She took him on walks and sent pictures and updates throughout our trip. The house was clean and Odin was a very happy pup when we got home. I would definitely ask Kayla to dog sit for us again!”

“Jocelyn did an amazing job taking care of our cats! She followed instructions from beginning to end and kept us updated with pictures twice a day, so we could have the peace of mind to enjoy our time away. We would love to book her again in the future. Thank you Jocelyn!!”

About: I have had extensive experience caring for pets of all ages, including those who are very young or those with medical conditions. I pride myself on paying attention to detail whether that be interaction, toy, or food preferences in order to ensure your pets feel at home. I am whole heartedly committed to the safety and happiness of you pets while you're away! I work full-time, but I have plenty of free time after work and on weekends to dedicate to pet care. I'm happy to provide walks, playtime, feedings, and lots of attention while keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll always keep fresh water available, provide meals on schedule, give lots of playtime and affection, and respect any special instructions you have. My goal is to make your pet feel happy and secure while giving you peace of mind knowing they're in caring, reliable hands.
About: My lifelong bond with animals began in childhood, growing up surrounded by pets who felt more like siblings than animals. This immersive upbringing allowed me to develop a deep empathy for them and a unique ability to read their subtle cues. To me, pets aren't just animals we keep—they are individuals capable of profound companionship. Animals easily recognize me as a friend, sensing that I am someone who genuinely respects their space, understands their needs, and loves them just for who they are. My sister would drive 10 miles everyday to drop her puppy off with me, despite closer friends and family who wanted to care for him. She knew he would be the center of my attention and she would never have to worry. I own a small chocolate business and chauffeur kids to and from school and activities makes it difficult to have a basic 9 to 5 and I miss being around dogs We no longer allowed pets in our home so any sitting I do will be at the pet owners. The type of pet care depends on the pets demeanor. If they are used to close attention or hate being alone. Then we chilling together, if they are more like a cat but still need supervision I won't cramp their space. They just know someone's around when needed or to keep it off trouble When my sister had her puppy that everyone wanted to sit.. she drove out of her way to bring to me, I was the only one she knew he was in great hands
“Brigitte took excellent care of our dogs while we were away. She followed our dogs care instructions and even went the extra mile for them! We enjoyed having Brigitte care for our dogs while we were away.”

“Querhea is an absolute delight and pleasure to work with. She took care of my babies while I was in surgery and they love her. She even stayed past her scheduled time until we got home from surgery the next day. I will be booking her for all our family needs”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Bedford is $50

My 2dogs/1 cat were in great hands with Michaela. She sent an update and pictures everytime she visited! Them being at home, going to nearby dog park, and playing really helped with their comfort and happiness. I appreciate her attentiveness and had good peace of mind while away. I will be contacting her again for future bookings.

Amanda was an amazing All-Star dog watcher. She truly went above and beyond caring for our dog. She kept in constant communication and we appreciated all the photos and updates she sent. When our dog got sick she went to the vet to pick up medication and took such good care of our sweet Hildy. We look forward to having her pet sit again!
Third time with Sandra, this time we had a third dog. They all love her so much. Our newest, youngest one liked her so much that when she left after we got home, he stood at the door waiting for her to come back for a few minutes. Will recommend Sandra for anyone who wants their pets to be taken super well taken care of. She always goes above and beyond.

Claudia was amazing, she did more than she had to , she was supposed to take care of Picasso at my place and I had a family loss and she was able to take him with her to her place so I could do my emergency travel. I have no words to express all she did I will be forever grateful!

Amy was a wonderful sitter! We were gone for 4 days and she continuously sent us updates and pictures! When we came home the dogs were so happy to see us and the house was just as we left it. We will definitely be using her again for our doggies because they absolutely LOVED her!

Tim was absolutely phenomenal, and I couldn't have asked for a better house sitter! Leaving Winnie Joy is never easy, but from the moment I left, I knew she and my home were in great hands. Tim was incredibly communicative throughout my trip, sending thoughtful updates and photos that gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation. It was obvious that Winnie Joy was loved and well cared for while I was away. She looked happy, relaxed, and completely herself when I got home, which says everything about the care and attention Tim gave her. He didn't just meet her basic needs he genuinely spent time with her and made sure she felt comfortable and loved. Tim also took exceptional care of my home. Everything was spotless, organized, and exactly as I had left it. It's such a relief to come home to a happy dog and a well-cared-for house after traveling. What impressed me most was Tim's reliability, kindness, and professionalism. He treated both my home and Winnie Joy with genuine care and respect, and I never once had to worry while I was gone. Finding someone you trust with both your pet and your home is priceless, and Tim exceeded every expectation. I would happily book Tim again without a second thought and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable house sitter. Thank you, Tim, for taking such wonderful care of Winnie Joy and my home. You truly made my trip stress-free! 🐾❤️

Awesome!! Highly recommend!! Claire house sat for us and took care of our 3 dogs while we took a long, much needed vacation. We were apprehensive having someone we didn't know stay at the house and care for our pups but our fears were unfounded. She was able to help us out on short notice and during 4th of July. She showed on time for our first meeting and was early on the day we left. Communication was excellent and she sent photos twice a day. This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier with the decision. Thank you Claire.
Allison did a great job staying with and caring for our 9 yr old miniature Australian shepherd, Daxter! She started out very responsive to all of our communications and continued our conversations throughout her stay. We got daily pictures of all the fun they were having and asked great questions to further help the comfort of Daxter. She left our home in excellent condition and we were happy to find our baby boy in great shape and anxiety free. We’d definitely recommend her to others and hire her again in the future!

This is the second time we booked Kaylie to take care of our Beagle puppy Belle. It was very comforting to see Belle was so happy when she saw Kaylie. Kaylie is a great puppy sitter and we plan to have her take care of of our puppy again. We highly recommend Ksylie!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bedford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bedford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bedford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
