“Nashi was fantastic with our dog, Frank. Our flight was cancelled last minute and she was able to stay another night which saved us! She sent many photos per day and sent updates about franks care. Nashi was wonderful and we will definitely use her again!”

“Morgan was fantastic with my girl Jovi over the holidays! She was very accommodating about a few unexpected requests I had to make last minute, sent pics throughout her stay that showed Jovi was super comfortable & content with her, and left my place exactly as she found it. Will definitely rebook!”

About: Hi my name is Hailey and I am a recent college graduate . I grew up with animals my whole life. I have a passion for pets of all sizes and species. I don't remember a time in my life where there wasn't a dog in my house. I've had a Rottweiler, a Golden Retriever, a Shi Tzu and the list goes on. I am excited to be able to help you by caring for your pets while you are away. I love taking long walks and take my dogs to the park! My dogs are my family and any dog that steps paw in this home is family as well so feel at ease and know that your best bud is in the best hands! I currently work from home full time with lots of breaks throughout the day. I normally work a 9-5 schedule but somedays I have late meetings or online events that keep me busy until latest 5:30. Inside your home I will keep my eyes on your furry friends for the entire time of my service. Whether just letting them outside to pee or taking them the the park I believe that keeping your eyes away for a split second really changes how a dog behaves (i have dogs who love to go in the garden when no one is looking) :)
“Holly was absolutely amazing with my two pups. She was so caring and my anxious boy warmed right up to her. She sent photos and updates while I was away which I really appreciated! I will be using Holly any time I am in the area and need a loving sitter for my pups.”

“Clover was absolutely amazing with my 2 high maintenance fur babies. My senior cat and rescue pup both have trouble warming up to people but loved Clover so much. She is warm, caring and understanding and treated my babies like her own. I had a wonderful trip because of the daily updates and pics. We will definitely be using Clover again! I couldn’t be happier!”

“So thankful for Kelsey! She is extremely prompt, reliable, and thorough. We were able to fully relax on our 10-day trip knowing coco was having a great time & being well taken care of every day! Thank you so much Kelsey & we can’t wait to book again.”

“What an awesome job Nick did! We were so nervous leaving for our 10 day cruise and first time leaving our fur baby but he kept in contact when we had service and always sent pics. House looked awesome as well! We will definitely use him again!”

“Michelle is so great. She is so kind and intentional with her care of my dog! She always updated me with pictures and activities they were doing! I will absolutely be having Michelle stay with my doxie again!”

“I was very impressed with Alisha. Prior to her stay at my house I had her come over to meet the animals and to show her where everything was. She was very communicative, letting me know when she was on her way, and punctual. My dogs liked her (one can be standoffish at first), which is always a good sign. During her stay she let me know when she arrived at the house, sent me picture updates, and mentioned any concerns she had (one of my dogs has cancer, so I was very appreciative of her keeping me updated about his health). We came home to a tidy house and our animals were healthy and well cared for. Alisha is very trustworthy, and I have no hesitation to recommend her services. I’ll definitely be using her again for future needs.”

“Rory took such wonderful care of our kitten while we were away and we feel so fortunate to have found her. She was flexible with our changing dates, and super communicative with daily updates and pics. Rory is absolutely wonderful.”

“Averille is simply the best!! I have two dogs (one big and dumb, one small and old) and one cat (the cat). None of them have any manners and all of them are used to me being around almost always. I travel for work more and more now so a dependable person to take care of them and more importantly distract them from my absence makes everything better. Averille fit that need perfectly!! Upon my return my animals were happy and warn out and my house safe and sound. That peace of mind is not something I take for granted. Averille’s friendly, proactive approach was next level! I can’t thank her enough!!”

“Tyler did a great job looking after Bogart. He was fed on time, his meds were given on time, he was walked when he was supposed to. I was given continuous updates which I greatly appreciated. I trust Tyler with my pet and would absolutely recommend him to others for pet sitting!”

“Matthew was incredible. Grab him if he is available. Best Rover experience to date. Great communicator. He sent pictures and my dog was very well taken care of. Can’t thank him enough.”

“Bregayle is wonderful. She house sitted my 3 year old Sheppard mix. She consistently sent updates and photos, which I really appreciated and I came home to a very happy pup. I will definitely book Bregayle again!”

“Britney is a very kind and conscientious care giver as well as being an excellent communicator. She did a great job taking care of our dogs. She sent wonderful pictures of our pups while we were away. We felt very comfortable with her in our home. We highly recommend Britney for anyone needing pet care”

“Shanda is the best! Attention to detail, communication, cleanliness, all of it was great. She filled in on very late notice but came prepared and took care of everything. The boys loved her and she handled everything they threw at her. And she took great care of the house. We will definitely have her back next time we need a sitter.”

“Lisa did a great job taking care of our pups! Our babies were brushed and walked twice daily. She also sent us daily “pupdates” so we can know how they did for the day including how much of their food was eaten and their behavior throughout the day. Our dogs were so happy with her and we would definitely have her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dallas
Maria was a great sitter! She was responsive, provided updates regularly, and sent pictures during her time with Luna. She has such a calm demeanor, which matched Luna’s personality well. She was flexible and understood all of Luna’s needs. Would definitely book Maria again in the future!

We are once away blown away by Dylan and his care of our pup. Always communicative and letting us know how our dog was doing. Very responsive when we reached out just to check in, super flexible when we changed our booking start and end times, and left our house in better sorts than we did! We refuse to book with anyone else.

Jeannie did such a great job watching my dog on very short notice! She cared for him as if he were her own, took him on walks, and sent me picture updates throughout my time away. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. I highly recommend Jeannie! 🤍

Merry was amazing! She took my senior dog on walks, hung out with her, played and brushed her. She took great care of my home as well. Merry sent plenty of picture updates while we were gone too! When I got home I could tell how happy and taken care of my girl was!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dallas walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dallas maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dallas choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
