“Samantha is absolutely incredible! She recently watched our four pets (two dogs and two cats) and provided the absolute best care we could have asked for. Right from the start, her attention and care stood out. On the very first day, our dogs had a couple of accidents, and Samantha handled the pee and poop cleanup immediately and communicated with me. Our cat Jasmine was feeling quite shy and hid for the first day, but Samantha took the time to look for her and coax her out of her hiding spot. After which, we received frequent pictures of our sweet girl. Overall, we received lots of updates and pictures during every single visit, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful to have found Samantha and cannot recommend her highly enough for anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I have had multiple dogs and cats my entire life. I can easily handle multiple dogs with different personalities. I am also experienced in finding creative ways to keep dogs happy and recognize signs of annoyance or that a dog wants to be alone. I love going for walks and taking dogs with me. I also encourage play and almost always have some toys or treats in my car. I do allow dogs on our furniture and love to cuddle. I have 2 dogs of my own who are friendly and love to play chase and wrestle. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door so dogs have access inside and out all day weather permitting. I’m a stay at home mom so I spend most of the day at home. Dogs will have free range of inside and outside while I’m home. I do have multiple gates and doors in our home so dogs can have separate spaces when needed. I do kennel one of our dogs when we leave the house and would put any other dogs in a separate room just to ensure safety of all the animals. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door. My dogs are allowed free access inside and out. They also are allowed on furniture. I do lock up my dogs when we leave the house. I have a permanent baby gate and sliding door so I can keep dogs in the living room if they need to be separated.
“Patricia was truly a blessing. ❤️ Leaving my girl behind is never easy for me because I worry about her when I’m away. Knowing Patricia was there made such a difference. She was incredibly attentive, gentle, caring, and thoughtful. The videos and updates she sent meant so much to me. Being able to see my girl, see that she was comfortable and happy, and watch Patricia giving her love and attention gave me such peace of mind while I was away. What touched me most was that Patricia didn’t just come in and take care of the basics. She genuinely cared about her. She paid attention to her little quirks, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her the companionship and affection she needed. I could tell from the videos that my girl was happy to see her, and that meant everything to me. Coming home knowing she had been safe, happy, loved, and so well cared for is priceless. Patricia went above and beyond, and I would trust her with my girl again without a second thought. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet with genuine love and attention, I cannot recommend Patricia highly enough. She is wonderful, and I’m so grateful I found her. ❤️”

“Cheryl was an excellent sitter for our two cats. She fed them food and checked their water. She also helped by scooping the litter and vacuuming as well. She even played with toys with our cats. She stopped by in advance too and I was able to show her our apartment and apartment building entrances and elevators. She was a pleasure to work with and sent us updates and photos of our fur babies throughout our time away.”

“Emma is FANTASTIC! I received a lot of photos and videos which made being away from dogs a lot easier. Emma is so caring with my animals and is the only dog sitter we will be using.”

“Natalie was an amazing sitter! My pup looked to have enjoyed her and was taken well care of. Her communication as well was top-notch, and I will no doubt hope to have her come by again!”

“Thank you, Karen! I’m not sure who is happier right now, us or our zoo. It’s so hard leaving them behind. But allowing them to stay in their home, knowing that they are being well cared for, makes it so much easier. I can’t say thank you enough!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. For the last 15+ years, I have been a dedicated owner to two highly active Shepherds, which means I am incredibly comfortable with high-energy working breeds and dogs of all sizes. I frequently sit multiple large dogs (50+ lbs) at the same time, so managing a lively pack is second nature to me. While I am not a professional trainer, I have a deep understanding of dog behavior. My own dog holds an AKC certification, and we actively practice tricks and obedience together. When I am walking or watching your dog, I don't just keep them safe, I actively engage with them, read their body language, and help reinforce their good habits. I currently work part-time during the day, and I am fully available Monday through Sunday after 5 p.m. My evenings are wide open and perfect for taking your pup on a long walk. As a dog walker, my top priority is leash safety and situational awareness. Having handled active Shepherds and 50+ lb dogs for 15+ years, I know how to read canine body language and avoid potential stressors on our route. I always double-check harnesses and collars, ensure your dog gets fresh water post-walk if needed, and securely lock your home before leaving.
“This was the longest trip we have made since Michaela has been taking care of our cats. We felt comfortable leaving them because we knew that they would be in good hands. She does and great job and Flash and Wanda seem to like her.”

“Robin took great care of Lucky Girl while I went out of town. Lucky needs meds, and lots of TLC and Robin kept me up to date with lots of communication and pictures. Her care is much appreciated.”

“I am so happy with Brenda and all the love and care she showed for my pets and my home. I came home to happy fur babies and a clean house. My dog is getting older and needs a little extra time to ensure she goes potty outside. Brenda was patient and kind. Her communication was great and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I will definitely hire her again”

Rebecca was amazing. I had to find a cat sitter last minute on a holiday weekend and she was able to fit me in. My kitty clearly loved her and seemed so happy when we came home. Quick communication and wonderful photos, videos and updates. I would recommend hands down!

Michaela was awesome! My cats are aging so don’t feel comfortable leaving them for long periods of time without care anymore. Michaela came in every other day and checked on my babies while we were on vacation, and she did a wonderful job with communicating and sending pics of our girls. The peace of mind she gave us was worth every penny!
Jose did an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were out of town! He was very attentive, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Our cat was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
