“Haylle did a great job taking care of our cat during a week long vacation. Our cat is super shy with strangers, but surprisingly warmed up to Haylle in just a day! We will definitely rebook.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend Karen! Karen is absolutely wonderful with my two high‑energy girls, Rosie (Golden Retriever) and Annie (Boykin Spaniel). They light up every time they see her. She sends great photos, takes them on proper walks, and handles their energy with ease. Communication is always smooth, and she comes in and out of the house respectfully with zero issues. I trust her completely with my dogs — they’re happy, safe, and well cared for every time she’s here.”

“Melissa is the best. 100% responsive and accommodating. We can relax when we leave our dog with Melissa, as we know she will provide the best of care. Absolutely, the best!”

“Maria was fantastic! Reliable, efficient, and caring. Was able to work around an event happening in my neighborhood and easily problem solved some issues i had forgotten to go over with her. 10/10 would book again.”

“Ada responded promptly to my inquiry to watch my cat, she was an absolute pleasure to meet during the meet-and-greet. She has a wonderful outgoing personality, and while I was out of town she sent me detailed reports with several pictures and two videos. My cat is elderly and nearly blind but she treated him so nicely as if he was her own. I was very happy and will absolutely use her services again. Thanks Ada!”
“This was the longest trip we have made since Michaela has been taking care of our cats. We felt comfortable leaving them because we knew that they would be in good hands. She does and great job and Flash and Wanda seem to like her.”

“Sarah did such a wonderful job with my cats. I realized how much they loved her when I saw them sitting at the front door waiting for when they thought it was her coming in. She followed my directions to a T and made sure I came home to a clean house which was much appreciated!”

“Sophia did a great job taking care of our 2 cats for over a week while we were traveling. She followed our instructions well and we would be happy to rebook with her in the future !”

About: I’ve owned dogs all my life and have always been an animal lover. In high school I took an interest to veterinary medicine & interned at a vet clinic. I have experience with cats & dogs of all ages. I currently own one dog and three cats who are all well taken care of and loved! Everyone gets their monthly flea & tick prevention as well as bathing, nail trims, and teeth brushing! I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals - whether it’s playing, feeding, or just getting to know their personalities. I treat them all as my own and I have so much love for them. I’m currently working as a tattoo artist part time, but I make my own schedule! I’m available early mornings - late afternoons. My schedule is flexible so I’m able to accept last minute drop-ins! 30 minutes or multiple hours, I’m available 🫶 Your pets’ safety is my top priority! Any care instructions will be followed exactly & they’ll get my undivided attention the whole time. I’ll make sure they’re always safe and comfortable 🤍
About: I was raised with medium dogs in the household. Having a pet has always been a part of me. I've also used pet care services a lot while traveling, and I know from personal experience what puts a pet parent's mind at ease when they're gone. I tend to structure my routine around pet sitting. My work schedule is flexible, allowing me to prioritize your pet's needs. We'll work together to make sure we have a schedule that is most comfortable for you and your pets. I'm always considerate of your pets needs, so when I drop in I always start with food and water, as those are usually the most immediate comforts. While they eat, I clean the litter and scan the house for accidents. When they're ready for it, I initiate play/pets. Your pets have my full attention during my visit. I'll always share photo highlights and a summary of my visit with you on my way out the door.
About: I work full time at a retirement community and cat/dog sit for a few of the residents for weeks at a time. I have a few pets of my own (3 cats, 2 dogs and a turtle) and it is truly chaotic fun. I literally live and breathe caring for fur babies and would love to care for yours as well :) I work 11-8 weekdays with an hour break so I can check on your baby! I am off weekends and spend most of my time with the animals I watch. I have pets of my own and know how much they mean to you therefore I am willing to go above and beyond in their care. I have knowledge of vets in and around the Southlake/Grapevine area and the eastside of Fort Worth/Arlington area. I am able to provide daily updates and photos of your baby while you are gone.
“Caleb is the BEST!! It is so hard for me to trust anyone with my babies, but Caleb makes me feel like they are in the best hands. He is so sweet and caring toward dogs of all kinds. He took care of my very high-need senior angel with a long history of aggression last year, making him feel loved and supported. Now he’s taking care of our crazy new puppy, and winning his heart as well. He’s also always been amazing with our middle-aged Velcro angel. I couldn’t imagine anyone better to trust my babies with. 💕”

“Nikki was so wonderful with our fur babies. Even our shy boy came out to play with her. She was on time every day and took care of everything we asked. We felt at ease knowing she was looking after our kitties. Thank you Nikki!”

“I know 30 for a tip is not a lot, but I wanted to extend a super thanks for working with me and the communication during the time of my fire. We are sorry to see you go but hope the new opportunity is all you hoped it would be for work! Thank you again! -Nala & Zach”

“Absolutely amazing! Kaylan is fantastic! She made our first ever vacation without the dogs stress-free and peaceful. So grateful! She went above and beyond and she even watered my flowers! Thank you Kaylan!”

“Emma is FANTASTIC! I received a lot of photos and videos which made being away from dogs a lot easier. Emma is so caring with my animals and is the only dog sitter we will be using.”

“Robin was amazing!!! She came over to meet Marshall before, so they could be familiar with each other. He loved her immediately! Thank you for taking such great care of our boy while we were gone!”

Haylle was awesome! She sent some cute pictures of my boys and left notes letting me know my babies were okay while I was gone! She even took in my sisters packages and made sure the door was locked when we were having issues! Definitely recommend her for your fur babies!! Thank you again!

Alexis did such a great job looking after our two cats. She was patient and attentive to them. She went above and beyond and helped us to feel completely comfortable leaving our babies in her care. We loved the daily updates and pictures; they helped to put our mind at ease while we were away! Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Richland Hills. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
