“Q was awesome for our trial run. I have a very active young dog, and from our first meetup she had him under control. I feel very comfortable having her around my dog and in my home. Highly recommend and will definitely book her again.”

“This was the longest trip we have made since Michaela has been taking care of our cats. We felt comfortable leaving them because we knew that they would be in good hands. She does and great job and Flash and Wanda seem to like her.”

“Melissa was awesome! She took such great care of our three cats—we could tell they were in good hands. She's thoughtful, attentive, and clearly has a way with animals. We'll definitely be asking her back. A fantastic experience all around!”

“Yuliya agreed to care for my pups with only a days notice. I was frantically attempting to book someone due to an event that came up that I had to attend. She provided them love and care and also took numerous photos as she knew that I missed them. She also brought in my parcels and gave my pups all their medications. I highly recommend Yuliya and her excellent services!”

“Sophia did a great job taking care of our 2 cats for over a week while we were traveling. She followed our instructions well and we would be happy to rebook with her in the future !”

“Karen is absolutely AMAZING!!! This is the first time I've ever had to have someone that I don't know check on my babies. Karen made me feel comfortable from the very beginning - from when we first communicated, during the meet and greet, and through the entire process!”

“Haylle does a great job with my dog Jasper. I am able to work through my day knowing that she comes by in the day to make sure he gets some activity. I get a report card from Rover and she sends pictures every visit. I am very grateful for her care.”

About: I have been around pets all my life. I grew up on a farm with several different animals. Our family favorite has always been dogs. Now, I share that enjoyment with my kids. They love being around dogs too! We enjoy walking our own dogs and playing with them. Your pet would have a loving environment with lots of attention with us! I am a stay at home mom. So, currently, I have plenty of time to schedule pet care. Please let me know when your pet needs some TLC!) We have a fenced back yard with room for dogs to go out and stretch and take care of other business:-) We have two dogs that can easily stay with family while we watch your fur baby, or our little dog, can stay to give your dog company. We will be happy to play fetch or go on walks as well.
About: I have had multiple dogs and cats my entire life. I can easily handle multiple dogs with different personalities. I am also experienced in finding creative ways to keep dogs happy and recognize signs of annoyance or that a dog wants to be alone. I love going for walks and taking dogs with me. I also encourage play and almost always have some toys or treats in my car. I do allow dogs on our furniture and love to cuddle. I have 2 dogs of my own who are friendly and love to play chase and wrestle. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door so dogs have access inside and out all day weather permitting. I’m a stay at home mom so I spend most of the day at home. Dogs will have free range of inside and outside while I’m home. I do have multiple gates and doors in our home so dogs can have separate spaces when needed. I do kennel one of our dogs when we leave the house and would put any other dogs in a separate room just to ensure safety of all the animals. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door. My dogs are allowed free access inside and out. They also are allowed on furniture. I do lock up my dogs when we leave the house. I have a permanent baby gate and sliding door so I can keep dogs in the living room if they need to be separated.
About: I am a lifelong animal lover with 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. For the last 15+ years, I have been a dedicated owner to two highly active Shepherds, which means I am incredibly comfortable with high-energy working breeds and dogs of all sizes. I frequently sit multiple large dogs (50+ lbs) at the same time, so managing a lively pack is second nature to me. While I am not a professional trainer, I have a deep understanding of dog behavior. My own dog holds an AKC certification, and we actively practice tricks and obedience together. When I am walking or watching your dog, I don't just keep them safe, I actively engage with them, read their body language, and help reinforce their good habits. I currently work part-time during the day, and I am fully available Monday through Sunday after 5 p.m. My evenings are wide open and perfect for taking your pup on a long walk. As a dog walker, my top priority is leash safety and situational awareness. Having handled active Shepherds and 50+ lb dogs for 15+ years, I know how to read canine body language and avoid potential stressors on our route. I always double-check harnesses and collars, ensure your dog gets fresh water post-walk if needed, and securely lock your home before leaving.
About: My lifelong bond with animals began in childhood, growing up surrounded by pets who felt more like siblings than animals. This immersive upbringing allowed me to develop a deep empathy for them and a unique ability to read their subtle cues. To me, pets aren't just animals we keep—they are individuals capable of profound companionship. Animals easily recognize me as a friend, sensing that I am someone who genuinely respects their space, understands their needs, and loves them just for who they are. My sister would drive 10 miles everyday to drop her puppy off with me, despite closer friends and family who wanted to care for him. She knew he would be the center of my attention and she would never have to worry. I own a small chocolate business and chauffeur kids to and from school and activities makes it difficult to have a basic 9 to 5 and I miss being around dogs We no longer allowed pets in our home so any sitting I do will be at the pet owners. The type of pet care depends on the pets demeanor. If they are used to close attention or hate being alone. Then we chilling together, if they are more like a cat but still need supervision I won't cramp their space. They just know someone's around when needed or to keep it off trouble When my sister had her puppy that everyone wanted to sit.. she drove out of her way to bring to me, I was the only one she knew he was in great hands
About: I’ve owned dogs all my life and have always been an animal lover. In high school I took an interest to veterinary medicine & interned at a vet clinic. I have experience with cats & dogs of all ages. I currently own one dog and three cats who are all well taken care of and loved! Everyone gets their monthly flea & tick prevention as well as bathing, nail trims, and teeth brushing! I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals - whether it’s playing, feeding, or just getting to know their personalities. I treat them all as my own and I have so much love for them. I’m currently working as a tattoo artist part time, but I make my own schedule! I’m available early mornings - late afternoons. My schedule is flexible so I’m able to accept last minute drop-ins! 30 minutes or multiple hours, I’m available 🫶 Your pets’ safety is my top priority! Any care instructions will be followed exactly & they’ll get my undivided attention the whole time. I’ll make sure they’re always safe and comfortable 🤍

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs alike. Growing up in a house of several cats and dogs at a time, I am no stranger to the needs of animals. We had strays outside which I took care of and even brought a few cats into our home. Neighbors and friends have asked me to house sit before. I love exercising and engaging pets with toys and play to keep them healthy. I have administered medications and treatments before. I have owned many cats and dogs and will treat your animal with the same love and tenderness as my own. I’m currently unemployed, so I have open availability to accommodate your schedule and look after your pups and cats. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and can not board animals, but I am willing to come to you and stay with your dog or cat in his/hers comfortable environment. I can drop by your house and spend several hours a day with your cat or dog, feeding and entertaining. I am able to walk dogs several times a day.
“Ada was wonderful and very accommodating. She took plenty of pictures and did everything that was expected and more. She is friendly and professional. Kruz loved her.”

About: I have been around animals for most of my life and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, bathe, and keep their pets company while they’re away. I understand that every pet has their own routine and comfort level, so I take the time to get to know what makes them feel safe and happy. I’m an active person who genuinely enjoys long walks, outdoor time, and interactive play, but I’m just as happy keeping a senior dog company or giving an anxious pet the patience and space they need. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable while giving you peace of mind. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide pets with plenty of attention instead of just stopping in for the basics. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, potty breaks, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to accommodate their routine as much as possible. I know consistency is important for animals, and I’ll do my best to keep their day feeling as normal as it does when you’re home. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding schedules, exercise, crate training, or household rules. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior so I can recognize when they need play, rest, water, or a little extra reassurance. I believe communication is just as important as great pet care, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout my visits. You can relax knowing your pet is being cared for with patience, kindness, and the same level of attention I’d give my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Richland Hills
Susan is a master at her craft! She is a true animal whisperer. She went above and beyond to care for our dog, Emi, while we were out of town. She sent updates and pictures to ensure we knew Emi was safe. I really appreciated how easy she was to communicate with. Susan truly cares about animals and has fast become my go-to sitter! Thankful to have found her on Rover!
Imán have been wonderful, she pays attention do every detail and every concern since my baby is a senior with neurological problems. She is such a calm sweet person and I believe our fur babies can sense that!! So sad she’ll be leaving soon but glad will have the best Vet in a future, I’m so glad for her! Thank you Iman!

Michaela was awesome! My cats are aging so don’t feel comfortable leaving them for long periods of time without care anymore. Michaela came in every other day and checked on my babies while we were on vacation, and she did a wonderful job with communicating and sending pics of our girls. The peace of mind she gave us was worth every penny!
Sarah was amazing and so communicative. She showed so much love and care for Bernie while we were away, that we were able to enjoy our vacation worry free. This was our first family vacation and first time ever leaving Bernie. He is a senior dog and we weren’t sure how our vacation would impact his health. Thankfully Sarah sent us daily updates and kept us in the loop of Bernie’s daily activities. She is extremely reliable and sees these pets as her own. Anyone hesitant for a dog sitter because of the unknowns, I can not recommend her enough!

Jennifer was so good with both of my dogs! I felt comfortable knowing that she would take care of my babies while I was out of town. I also added an extra visit at the last minute, which she was more than happy to do. I would definitely recommend Jennifer. She has a calm demeanor, and you can tell that she really cares about your babies!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
