“Samantha is absolutely incredible! She recently watched our four pets (two dogs and two cats) and provided the absolute best care we could have asked for. Right from the start, her attention and care stood out. On the very first day, our dogs had a couple of accidents, and Samantha handled the pee and poop cleanup immediately and communicated with me. Our cat Jasmine was feeling quite shy and hid for the first day, but Samantha took the time to look for her and coax her out of her hiding spot. After which, we received frequent pictures of our sweet girl. Overall, we received lots of updates and pictures during every single visit, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful to have found Samantha and cannot recommend her highly enough for anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I have had multiple dogs and cats my entire life. I can easily handle multiple dogs with different personalities. I am also experienced in finding creative ways to keep dogs happy and recognize signs of annoyance or that a dog wants to be alone. I love going for walks and taking dogs with me. I also encourage play and almost always have some toys or treats in my car. I do allow dogs on our furniture and love to cuddle. I have 2 dogs of my own who are friendly and love to play chase and wrestle. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door so dogs have access inside and out all day weather permitting. I’m a stay at home mom so I spend most of the day at home. Dogs will have free range of inside and outside while I’m home. I do have multiple gates and doors in our home so dogs can have separate spaces when needed. I do kennel one of our dogs when we leave the house and would put any other dogs in a separate room just to ensure safety of all the animals. I have a large fenced in backyard and a doggy door. My dogs are allowed free access inside and out. They also are allowed on furniture. I do lock up my dogs when we leave the house. I have a permanent baby gate and sliding door so I can keep dogs in the living room if they need to be separated.
“It was my first time getting a pet sitter and she made us feel so comfortable. Claire was very kind very thoughtful. We appreciate her taking care of our animals so that we’re able to go and relax on vacation.”

“Q was awesome for our trial run. I have a very active young dog, and from our first meetup she had him under control. I feel very comfortable having her around my dog and in my home. Highly recommend and will definitely book her again.”

About: What sets me apart is my dedication, adaptability, and genuine love for animals. While I may not have formal pet care experience, I am eager to learn and committed to providing the best care possible. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique needs and follow instructions carefully to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. I am currently a sophomore in college. I do have a job but I am looking to earn a bit of extra cash. I also plan on becoming a veterinarian so any hands on experience with animals helps in so many ways! I provide personalized care based on each pet’s needs, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding schedules, go on walks, provide playtime, and give plenty of affection. I also respect any special instructions, including medications or routines, to keep your pet happy and stress-free while you're away!
“Sophia did a great job taking care of our 2 cats for over a week while we were traveling. She followed our instructions well and we would be happy to rebook with her in the future !”

“Haylle does a great job with my dog Jasper. I am able to work through my day knowing that she comes by in the day to make sure he gets some activity. I get a report card from Rover and she sends pictures every visit. I am very grateful for her care.”

“Karen is awesome! Her attitude and disposition really seemed to put my big pup at ease. I feel dogs can sense people and their attitudes can really have an impact on the pup from the get go. Karen was sweet, considerate and perfectly communicative. Exactly my dog needs! I do have a 220+ lb English Mastiff who can push people around without even trying. Although Karen is pretty darn small, she seemed as-if she could handle my dog with her big personality while still having a gentle ease of care at the same time. Thank you Karen!”

“This was my first time on rover and will not be my last! Yorleney & Yoshua were awesome! Came and met Roo before hand and were so nice about getting pictures and updates everyday and taking the time to play with her! Thank you guys so much!”

About: I grew up taking care of puppies and rescues with my mom, and then moved into helping at a shelter while I was in college. As a grad student and current renter, I can’t have pets of my own so am glad to have the chance to get some cuddles in with yours. I'm happy to work with dogs of all ages and sizes and follow direction well if you are working with any training techniques. I have a soft spot for older dogs in particular and am also happy to look after any plants. I currently attend KU as a grad student where I teach two days a week and am focused on finishing my thesis this semester. I have a fairly flexible schedule and so can maintain a consistent routine for most pets while you’re gone. I’ve traveled a lot and been fortunate to be a guest in many people’s home. I pride myself on being respectful and leaving a house at least as good as I found it. I also try to prioritize pet comfort since I'm a guest in their home too. I try to let them lead interactions so they have a chance to warm up on their own level. I'm also happy to respect household rules and uphold the boundaries the pets are used to (ie., if they're not allowed on certain furniture). If you have any plants that need care while you're away, I love leaning into my green thumb too.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Haltom City
Sarah was amazing and so communicative. She showed so much love and care for Bernie while we were away, that we were able to enjoy our vacation worry free. This was our first family vacation and first time ever leaving Bernie. He is a senior dog and we weren’t sure how our vacation would impact his health. Thankfully Sarah sent us daily updates and kept us in the loop of Bernie’s daily activities. She is extremely reliable and sees these pets as her own. Anyone hesitant for a dog sitter because of the unknowns, I can not recommend her enough!

I’ve been very happy with her help with my animals. She drops in once or twice a day as needed and adjusts to my schedule, which is extremely helpful, especially when I like to be gone for church all day on Sunday from like 9 AM until almost 9:30 PM… It’s so nice not having to run home in the middle of the day but yet still come home to all my fur babies, and they’ve been taken care of!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
