“Natalie was amazing! Our fur babies were very well taken care of and loved all the photos to help stay connected while we were on a short family trip. We highly recommend Natalie and can’t wait to have her come care for our babies again soon.🥰”

“Haylle does a great job with my dog Jasper. I am able to work through my day knowing that she comes by in the day to make sure he gets some activity. I get a report card from Rover and she sends pictures every visit. I am very grateful for her care.”

About: I have been around pets all my life. I grew up on a farm with several different animals. Our family favorite has always been dogs. Now, I share that enjoyment with my kids. They love being around dogs too! We enjoy walking our own dogs and playing with them. Your pet would have a loving environment with lots of attention with us! I am a stay at home mom. So, currently, I have plenty of time to schedule pet care. Please let me know when your pet needs some TLC!) We have a fenced back yard with room for dogs to go out and stretch and take care of other business:-) We have two dogs that can easily stay with family while we watch your fur baby, or our little dog, can stay to give your dog company. We will be happy to play fetch or go on walks as well.
About: I’ve owned dogs all my life and have always been an animal lover. In high school I took an interest to veterinary medicine & interned at a vet clinic. I have experience with cats & dogs of all ages. I currently own one dog and three cats who are all well taken care of and loved! Everyone gets their monthly flea & tick prevention as well as bathing, nail trims, and teeth brushing! I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals - whether it’s playing, feeding, or just getting to know their personalities. I treat them all as my own and I have so much love for them. I’m currently working as a tattoo artist part time, but I make my own schedule! I’m available early mornings - late afternoons. My schedule is flexible so I’m able to accept last minute drop-ins! 30 minutes or multiple hours, I’m available 🫶 Your pets’ safety is my top priority! Any care instructions will be followed exactly & they’ll get my undivided attention the whole time. I’ll make sure they’re always safe and comfortable 🤍
“Cheryl was an excellent sitter for our two cats. She fed them food and checked their water. She also helped by scooping the litter and vacuuming as well. She even played with toys with our cats. She stopped by in advance too and I was able to show her our apartment and apartment building entrances and elevators. She was a pleasure to work with and sent us updates and photos of our fur babies throughout our time away.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have been around dogs my whole life. I currently have dogs of my own, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for them. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I’ve also spent time training puppies and reinforcing basic commands. Whether your dog loves to play, go on walks, or just relax and cuddle, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets the same way I care for my own, with plenty of patience, attention, and affection. I’m currently in graduate school online, so I spend most of my days studying from home. That gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just keeping them company, I’ll be there to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run and play, and two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love making new friends if your pet enjoys company. If your dog prefers their own space, I’m happy to separate them or crate them if that’s part of their normal routine. I always follow each owner’s instructions closely so your pet can stick to the routine they’re used to and feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away.

“Sarah was so wonderful with my two cats! Not only did she take excellent care of them and my property, but she took amazing photos of them! She should be a pet photographer with how wonderfully she captured them! Her communication was also excellent and much appreciated. Will definitely use her again!”

“Robin is AMAZING with our girls! She goes above and beyond. Always reliable and dependable! Our girls love her!!! Has great communication and sends us pictures of the girls. 10/10 definitely recommended her for any of your fur babies’ needs.”

“Emma is FANTASTIC! I received a lot of photos and videos which made being away from dogs a lot easier. Emma is so caring with my animals and is the only dog sitter we will be using.”

I have had dogs of my own, as well as cared for other dogs, of all ages and sizes! Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and affection from my whole family. I love spending time outdoors, staying active, and making sure every dog gets the care and comfort they need. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, they will be treated like part of the family. I take pride in being dependable, communicative, and attentive to each dog’s unique needs. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I currently work from home full-time. I am available for boarding and sitting during the day all throughout the week. Your pet will always have a companion! In my home, pets have access to a secure fenced yard where they can safely roam, play, and get exercise with supervision. Inside, they are treated like part of the family with plenty of attention, affection, fresh water, feeding on schedule, potty breaks, and a clean environment. “Katie is the best. I have a pretty timid cat and she was very kind to him. She followed my instructions to a T and was patient with me solving a digital key issue. 10 out of 10. Would recommend!”

“Sarah did such a wonderful job with my cats. I realized how much they loved her when I saw them sitting at the front door waiting for when they thought it was her coming in. She followed my directions to a T and made sure I came home to a clean house which was much appreciated!”

About: I love dogs and truly treat them like a precious loved one. I didn't grow up with dogs but chose to get pets once I was financially able to do so. Know your pups will be safe, cared for, and loved! I have a very flexible daily routine so I'm able to give them a lot of attention, whether that's dedicated walks, training, play time, etc. I don't have a fenced yard as I live in a complex. But my pets are on a leash anytime they're taken out for potty breaks and walks.
“Susan always does a fantastic job with our Coco-girl. This was a last minute booking and I was so appreciative that Susan was able to take care of her. Susan is our go-to for anything dog related. She is very conscientious & does a great job. We appreciate you, Susan!!”

“Kaylan was great with my cat, very communicative and gave me regular updates with pictures. I have peace of mind going out of town knowing Kaylan is checking on Penny!”

About: My wife and I are huge pet lovers. She's been doing pet foster care since she was young and I've had the privelage of owning a few animals myself. I absolutely love being around animals of all kinds and loving on them as I would my own. We also have experience with medication administration. We're flexible and adaptable and here for your fur babies! If your fur babies like to be around other animals we have a very loving dog who loves all animals and loves to play. I look forward to speaking with you and getting to know your pets! Ally is a stay at home mom, though she does have a job that takes her away periodically she's at home the majority of the time so there is almost always someone available to give the animals the love and attention they deserve. We have a fenced yard with some space to run and stretch or get some fresh air. Sometimes we take multiple dogs at a time but not normally. Of separation os required a crate is preferred but we do have extra rooms and baby gates to give the dogs their own space is we need to leave the house or for sleeping hours.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Watauga
Sarah was amazing and so communicative. She showed so much love and care for Bernie while we were away, that we were able to enjoy our vacation worry free. This was our first family vacation and first time ever leaving Bernie. He is a senior dog and we weren’t sure how our vacation would impact his health. Thankfully Sarah sent us daily updates and kept us in the loop of Bernie’s daily activities. She is extremely reliable and sees these pets as her own. Anyone hesitant for a dog sitter because of the unknowns, I can not recommend her enough!

Jennifer was so good with both of my dogs! I felt comfortable knowing that she would take care of my babies while I was out of town. I also added an extra visit at the last minute, which she was more than happy to do. I would definitely recommend Jennifer. She has a calm demeanor, and you can tell that she really cares about your babies!

This woman is an angel! She’s so experienced with dogs from all walks of life and demeanors. She’s very professional and communicative and worthy to trust with your home and fur baby. My dog hates most people and they hit it off so quickly! I’m so relieved that I found someone capable of handling my reactive, and often unfriendly, dog.

I’ve been very happy with her help with my animals. She drops in once or twice a day as needed and adjusts to my schedule, which is extremely helpful, especially when I like to be gone for church all day on Sunday from like 9 AM until almost 9:30 PM… It’s so nice not having to run home in the middle of the day but yet still come home to all my fur babies, and they’ve been taken care of!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
