I share my home with four cats (three traveled with me from Ukraine and one rescued from Houston) and a Bernese Mountain Dog who’s training to become a certified therapy dog. I work remotely, so I’m home all day and able to give pets constant attention. Before moving to the U.S., I co-founded an adoption center in Ukraine dedicated to rescuing and rehoming critically ill stray cats. I’ve completed multiple courses in animal behavior and publish freelance articles about the latest research in pet care. My dog has completed four manners courses and holds all his certificates, and I create human-grade treats in a professional dehydrator (and planning to start a business), so my furry guests are welcome to sample them if they have no allergies. We have a spacious home with a fenced yard, two guest rooms, and a pool for supervised dog play. I work remotely only a few hours a day, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I’m also very physically active, ensuring your furry friend will never be bored. I create a calm, pet-friendly environment and keep routines consistent to reduce stress. In my home or yours, I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, maintain secure doors and gates, and use positive reinforcement for safe play. I keep food, water, and litter areas clean and monitor pets closely during walks or outdoor time.

About: Hi I’m Alaina! I have experience with big animals from horses and cows, to small animals like guinea pigs and fish. I love animals and have lots of experience around different breeds and sizes. I have a 7 year old boxer mix that is my little shadow at home. I grew up around many different breeds of dogs including border collies, golden retrievers, and Great Dane. I have experience with cats however, I am allergic to them so I try not to snuggle too closely. I am currently a nurse so I get 4 days off a week. I am available on different days each week for all your pets walks, potty breaks, or play time! Your pet is my priority! If your dog/cat needs special care for any reason please let me know so I can provide the best care for them. I am happy to follow any directions you have for your pet and answer any questions you have. I can send you updates on your pet during our time together if you’d like as well. I am currently available 4 days a week that changes week to week which specific days. I can be available during the day and nighttime as well. I can provide walking, indoor and/or outdoor play, or just really good belly rubs depending on your dogs activity level and needs. I currently cannot board client pets at my home.
