“Alyssa was amazing and I will definitely be booking her anytime I’m out of town. She’s attentive and very sweet. She was sure to check in with me daily and answered all my questions I feel very confident in leaving my kitten in her care ??”

“Rob and Mary are amazing people, love dogs and treated my as their own.super accommodating when we asked to extend our pups stay at last minute.my fur baby became fast friends with theirs, and loved the walks and outdoor romps he got to enjoy. Even better is the updates and pictures I received during my vacation that made me smile and let me know he was in good hands. I highly recommend Mary and Rob and our Lumpy will be returning next trip.”

“Christina is amazing at this job. She genuinely loves dogs and ensures they have a great time while at her house. She provides a crate and lots of toys to play with. Our Labradoodle is a high energy puppy and she was great with him. She sent daily pictures and videos, it was great to see him playing and running around with her dogs. It was very reassuring to know he was being taken care of. I’ll definitely use Christina again next time we go out of town.”

“This is our 3rd time booking with Arellys and it has always been a positive experience. Our dog has a great time and Arellys takes good care of her. This time we had a last minute change and needed to extend the booking by 1 more day which Arellys graciously accommodated. She’s always quick to respond and keeps me updated with how my dog is doing during the stay. We will definitely be using Arellys in the future and highly recommend her!”

“Abigail and her family were wonderful! Such a sweet and caring family! They took great care of our goldendoodle and treated him as a part of their family. Excellent communication and fun pictures everyday which we really appreciated. I think our dog loved his stay and is looking forward to the next visit!”

“Jonathan has become our go-to sitter. He is flexible, trustworthy, and super communicative. Our dog loves him and we will continue to call on Jonathan whenever we need. Definitely recommend!”

“Ada was so great with Lucy. Lots of photos and videos and updates, I felt my girl was in such good hands. I am so appreciative for being available last minute too. Will be using Ada again!”

“Athena was absolutely amazing with our dog, She clearly has a true love for animals and treated our pup like her own. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such caring and capable hands. She went above and beyond, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog. We would highly recommend Athena to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Monica was very nice and sent photos of our dogs everyday during their stay. The house has a large back yard and plenty of room for large dogs to run around, though inside seemed a little cramped. Monica provided a doggy report card for each pup after their stay, as she is a sub teacher, which was pretty cool and even included a few dog treats/toy in a goodie bag when we left. She was very helpful with everything.”

“Great sitter, very caring of our dogs needs, and that he was comfortable for the extended stay. Would always send photos when we ask for some as well.”

“Ann did a great job at boarding our 2 dogs! Everyday she sent pictures and updates of them. She went above and beyond with helping us watch our dogs. Thank you Ann!! I definitely recommend her!!”

“Lissi took great care of our fur baby Ludo and kept us updated us everyday with message and photo. Ludo seemed to have had a good time! We will definitely use Lissi again in the future! ?”

“Andrea and Jerry are the best! They sent so many photos and videos of Sophie and I could tell she was having the best time with them! I was able to relax on my vacation and know that my pup was well taken care of :)”

“Julie was amazing and my three pups couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. I was a bit hesitant at first because I do have three very excitable dogs and they can sometimes even come off as annoying. Julie had no issue with them and welcomed them like they were her own! She sent constant pictures and updates, so even while we were away we felt at ease. We highly recommend her services and plan on rebooking with her. 💕”

“Our doodle loved spending the weekend with Josh and his boys. Josh sent us photos to keep us updated throughout the weekend. I would highly recommend Josh and we will be using Josh again in the future!”

“Stephanie & David and their family were wonderful sitters! They took care of our pup like she was their own. We received lots of updates and pictures. They were very attentive to special instructions and I knew she was well taken care of!”

“Gabriela and her adorable family were perfect for our sweet Ellie. She treated Ellie as her own, sent me ample updates, and was such a breeze to work with. Our family will absolutely use her again!”

Kathleen was great with my baby Bella. She took such great care of her, this was her first long stay away from home and she gets separation anxiety. Kathleen was very attentive and nurturing to make sure Bella was comfortable. She sent updates throughout the day and asked questions to help Bella’s stay be more comfortable. Lots of photos sent! Highly recommend!!

Claudia was incredible! My very shy cat responded to her quickly. I forgot to bring a litter box, but Claudia had an extra an my cat had her own room to herself. Claudia sent me daily videos too. And the price is nearly half of what vets charge to board. I highly recommend Claudia and I will use her again.
Emily was absolutely amazing with our dog and made the entire boarding experience stress-free and comforting. She genuinely cares for animals and treated our dog like family from the very beginning. Throughout the stay, she was attentive, reliable, and made sure our pup felt safe, happy, and loved. When we picked our dog up, she was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well taken care of, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone you can fully trust with your pet, but Emily exceeded every expectation, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional dog boarder, and we will definitely be booking with her again.

Clayton was absolutely phenomenal in taking care of our very active german shepherd while we were on a two week international vacation. We received photos and videos on a daily basis which made us SO happy to see, and it was very clear Clayton treated him as one of the family and they got into a routine with playtime and exercise. We will be thrilled to book with Clayton again and it's awesome to feel so good while away knowing Adolphus is happy and so well-cared (spoiled! )for!

We were honestly anxious about leaving our English bulldog because he can be high maintenance and very reactionary around other dogs, but finding Jada was such a relief. She was patient, understanding, and made us feel comfortable from the start. Jada took great care of him, kept us updated, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. It is clear she genuinely cares and knows how to handle dogs with different personalities and needs. We are so grateful we found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and reliable to care for their pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
