“Abigail and Matt are fantastic. Jax has so much fun playing with their kids and Sasha! Videos and pics were great! He comes home exhausted which is great for me. I hope they are available every time I need a sitter! 💗”

“Angela was great! She is extremely flexible with pick up and drop off times and she treated my 3 boys as if they were instant family! I missed them terribly when we were away on our trip, but she made it 10x better by sending pictures and daily updates about how they were doing! Thank you so much for taking them in and taking such great care of them, Angela! I highly recommend!”

“Sapana was great! I felt at ease leaving my fur baby with her. She sent me photos and videos to let me know she was adjusting well! I was able to be gone without stressing. I will absolutely book with her again!”

“I had an excellent experience with Thao! They went above and beyond by meeting me at Bella Terra for pick-up, which was incredibly convenient. Plus, they gave my dog Ryu a special toy, which he absolutely loved. Highly recommend for their thoughtfulness and great service!”

“I love using Susan and her girls to care for my dog, Macy! She always keeps me updated with the cutest pictures, which gives me so much peace of mind while i am away. Susan is also incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. It’s clear that Macy is well cared for and happy every time we use her. I highly recommend her!”

“Monica is very nice, genuinely cares for doggies and was caring and attentive to my Yogi. He played with friends outside, and got cuddles and snacks. Monica was accomodating and responsive. I received updates 2x day (pics and videos) and Yogi even got a report card and treat bag when picked up. Zero issues or complaints. Will definitely rebook with Monica.”

“Ludo had an awesome stay at Aimee's place. Aimee and family were wonderful, they took great care of him. Ludo made a new friend with Remi, their sweet little cockapoo. Aimee kept in touch via Rover app and WhatsApp and sent us photos and updates regularly. We will definitely board Ludo with Aimee again in the future.”

“We adore Libby and Chad. This is the second time they taken care of our fur baby, Louie, and we can’t say enough good things. They treat Louie like he’s their own, send daily updates with pictures, and laugh at Louie’s obsession with his football. Not only do we get a vacation, so does Louie. :-)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Richland Hills
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Abigail! Every year our family takes a week-long beach vacation to 30A, and this was the first time we boarded Rocket in someone’s home instead of a traditional kennel. Rocket is a very clingy little guy. He is happiest when he’s right beside us, looking for an opportunity to jump in a lap or curl up on the couch for a snuggle. Needless to say, we were a little nervous about how he’d do. We shouldn’t have worried. Abigail and her three sweet daughters treated Rocket like he was part of the family. He got plenty of playtime, daily walks, and, most importantly, lots of couch snuggles and attention. It was obvious from the photos that he felt completely at home. Abigail was also outstanding with communication. Throughout the week she kept us updated through the Rover app with messages and photos. I think she sent more than 65 pictures while we were away! Seeing Rocket happy and relaxed made it so much easier for us to enjoy our vacation. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love and care for your dog as if it were her own, I can’t recommend Abigail highly enough. She is wonderful, and we will absolutely book with her again.

Alexis, provided a very warm and welcoming home for us to feel comfortable leaving Daisy 🌼 in her care for a few days. She was very knowledgeable of dog behavior and how to positively introduce Daisy to her own dogs, her family and her inside and outside environment. She took time to send us updates after we left and throughout Daisy’s stay with photos of Daisy playing and relaxing around her home away from home. We enjoyed knowing Daisy was safe and comfortable while we participated in the weekend of a family wedding and activities. Thank you Alexis, we’d rebook in a heartbeat.

Lauren was amazing & so kind! our dogs are a little older (and a little stubborn) and she had no problems settling in to their normal routine. she provided great updates so we always felt like they were being taken care of. Lauren is definitely our new go-to for whenever we are out of town. thank you!

My pup loved loved loved staying with Alexis and her family. She came home calm and relaxed because of so much play time. I got lots of updates with pictures and videos. I hesitate to rave too much about them so they won't be booked with other people when I need them. Such a wonderful pet sitter!

Elise was amazing! This was the longest time Nova has been away from us and i was alittle nervous. Elise put me at ease with consistent photos and updates and nova really seemed to enjoy herself. Elise gave her extra love and treated her like part of the family. I would definitely recommend, and will use her in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
