“Lissi took great care of our fur baby Ludo and kept us updated us everyday with message and photo. Ludo seemed to have had a good time! We will definitely use Lissi again in the future! ?”

“Stephanie & David and their family were wonderful sitters! They took care of our pup like she was their own. We received lots of updates and pictures. They were very attentive to special instructions and I knew she was well taken care of!”

“We were so happy to find a sitter with doodles for our girl to hang with. Bob was very communicative and sent photos daily, which our family loved seeing. Thank you, Bob and family!”

“10 stars if I could!! Libby is absolutely incredible. I have 2 medium dogs and 1 kitty who were all able to have a week long sleepover with Libby. I booked a few months in advance, so my pets and I were able to do a meet and greet. The dogs were immediately drawn to Libby and I knew they’d be in good hands. She’s kind, warm and trustworthy. While I was gone for the week, Libby sent pictures and videos at least a few times a day, and always immediately responded to me. The animals had zero issues, and all of the pictures looked like they were having their own vacation!! The dogs cuddled with her, played outside in her yard, and weren’t ready to leave when I picked them up. This was the first time I have been on vacation and wasn’t stressed about my pet care. My family is so thankful to yours, Libby. Seriously, thank you!!!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Aimee and her family are so warm and welcoming and took great care of our little Gingy! They treated her like their own and she left with new friends. I will definitely book Aimee again!”

“When you book with Susan, the whole family spoils your baby! Pugsley loves them all. Susan kept me reasonably updated with pictures and comments. They even read him a bedtime story! He's on a diet and they did a great job of loving him without excessive treats. He will stay again. Almost forgot. I was given hand-drawn pictures to post by his crate and a lovely keepsake. I'm quite happy!”

“Thank you so much, Araselly, for taking such wonderful care of Copper. This was my first time leaving him with anyone other than his vet’s boarding, and you made it feel completely natural. You were so caring, and I could tell Copper felt loved and safe — like he was with family. Your updates and photos showed how happy he was, and it made my trip so much more relaxing. Knowing he was in exceptional hands meant everything to me. Thank you a billion times over!”

About: Your pets aren’t just a job to me—they’ll be treated like part of the family! 🐾 I’m dependable, attentive, and big on making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their humans are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and quirks, and I’m happy to follow their normal schedule as closely as possible. Expect plenty of love, playtime, cuddles (if they’re into that!), and updates with photos so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in good hands. ❤️ I work from home during the week, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into my daily routine. I’m available for walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and lots of attention throughout the day! 🐾 On Saturdays, I help out at our store, so my availability may be a little more limited, but I’m happy to coordinate care around my schedule. I love having furry company while I work and enjoy being able to give pets the attention and companionship they deserve throughout the day. I want every pet staying with me to feel comfortable, safe, and right at home! 🐾 Whether your pet is staying for the day or spending a few nights, they’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and relaxation throughout their stay. Since I work from home, I’m able to be around throughout most of the day rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding schedule, potty routine, medications, crate routine, and any special instructions you provide. I know every pet is different, so I’ll adjust their care based on their personality, energy level, and needs. And of course, I’ll send plenty of pictures and updates so you can see how your pet is doing while they’re with me! ❤️

“Patty was absolutely FANTASTIC with our dog, Berkley. My husband and I are new to the area and needed a sitter in a pinch. She treated Berkley like her own, reassured us of his comfort with pictures, and even gave him medication while we were gone. I will definitely be using Patty again in the future. She was wonderful!”

About: Over 50 years of caring for dogs, cats and small birds. More recently, I have fostered over 15 dogs with unique needs and personalities and also have experience with seniors. I have 2 dog friendly pups. One large doodle who is gentle with small dogs and one senior, small doodle who provides cuddles and comfort to visitors. My dogs are family and guests are treated with extra care and attention. I'm home most days and usually only gone for a few hours. I do separate dogs and play calm music during this time. Dogs are on a regular, feeding and potty schedule as well as medication that might be needed. I have a variety of enclosures and a fenced yard. Dogs are introduced slowly and always supervised while inside and outside. If needed, I can provide a quiet space for shy, sensitive or special need pups. There is regular play that includes ball, puzzles, snuffle mat, kiddie pool, sprinkler and lots of squirrels to chase.

“Jennifer kept me updated throughout my stay. She was extremely accommodating on pickup and drop off times. My day gets very hectic while I'm traveling so that was extremely helpful and put me at ease. My dog seemed to have fun. My dog misses having other dogs around so I'm so glad she played. Also I'm not sure if she bathed or put a spray on but somehow my dog smelled better than when I dropped her off. She also had a lovely house. I've tried several sitters in dfw. Some are horrible. Jennifer actually made me want to bring Kylie back!”

“Fantastic Rover sitters! Very responsive and attentive to our requests and inquiries. Our puppy was very happy and well cared for during our trip. We would definitely call Thao again! Thank you!”

“Victoria was an awesome sitter for Skippy..Skippy was pampered and spoiled and all our concerns about Skippy she handled very well. Love to choose Victoria again for watching Skippy.”

“Christine provided pics daily. My pups love outdoors and walks, Christine cheerfully provided both. They were very comfortable with her. I will be using her service again. Thank you Christine”

“Renee and her family took great care of my little old lady while I was gone for the weekend. She was very communicative, nice and was able to accommodate on short notice.”
“We are so lucky to have found Oshin to take care of Mickey. We needed to find someone short notice and it turned out great. Mickey was so happy with all the attention, the walks and playing fetch. We received videos every day of Mickey having a great time. Thank you Oshin”

“Mary & Robert took great care of my baby! Received instant replies when I reached out to them & they were so accommodating to drop off & pick up. Will be contacting them in the future!”

Rebecca was such an amazing sitter for our little pup! We felt very comfortable with Rebecca and she always kept us updated on Kahleesi and her time with the other dogs. I would 100% trust Rebecca to take care of Kahleesi again. Thank you so much and for all your patience with our extremely delayed travel day back 🫣
Crystal took wonderful care of Oso and went above and beyond while watching him. She carefully followed all feeding instructions, made sure he stayed on his routine, and took him on walks as requested. It was clear she gave him extra attention, love, and care while we were away. I highly recommend Crystal to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Abigail and Matt were wonderful! My dog Raider spent almost a full week in their home with them, their two kids, and their dog Sasha, and he had a great time. I received daily updates and pictures of him playing, sleeping, and enjoying time with the family and Sasha. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. I would absolutely use them again and couldn’t recommend their welcoming home enough!

Shannon was absolutely extraordinary in every aspect. We did a meet & greet before the actual booking, listened to all of my Charlie's quirks & habits and then used the time she had him to reinforce training he's previously had. And then taught me how to do it, too. She also sent progress pics & notes through his whole stay. I will definitely be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
