“Stella is fantastic! great with my animals, this last visit I was having AC issues and she made sure everyone was comfy while I had someone come service the unit. highly recommend her!”

“This is the 2nd time we have used Della and once again my fur babies have received such great care and were extremely happy when we arrived back home! She sent tons of pictures and updates and our house was actually a bit cleaner than we left it! I can’t imagine using anyone else at this point and we will be sure to book again our next trip!”

“If you want to have a worry free pet sit, book with Jennifer. Our only worry was our pets not wanting us to come home. She gave them so much love and attention that I don’t think they missed us at all. We had no worries during the week we were gone because she sent lots of pictures and messages. We have already booked her again for next month.”

“Gracie is a literal angel! She stayed at my house for 11 days taking care of my dog and 2 cats, and she somehow left my house better than when I left! My pets aren’t the easiest to take care of so I left a lot of specific instructions and she was able to maintain their care seamlessly. Couldn’t recommend her enough and I would definitely ask her to pet sit again.”

“Alexis was very responsive and attentive to the instructions that I provided. I appreciated that she asked about their normal routines and requests for the stay. Our dogs were instantly comfortable with her!”

“Laralen was fantastic with my elderly dog! She sent lots of updates and spent tons of time with her. I knew my girl was in great hands and well taken care of the whole time I was gone!”

“Liz was fabulous! She spent three nights at my house with my two large dogs and cat. She sent pictures and updates while I was gone, and everyone seemed happy when I got home. She even washed her linens and tidied up my house a bit before leaving. I will definitely be hiring her again!”

“Yvette took excellent care of Bailey. He is 15 and not feeling his best; yet, she was there for him all the time she watched him while we were at a son’s wedding. Anyone who is looking for the best care for your pet, you can’t go wrong with Yvette.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Worth
Ayisha is fantastic! She will lover your furbaby as if it was hers. She is so patient and kind. This was our first vacation going out of town in a long time and we were gone for a week. Ayisha also did house sitting for us and took care as if it were her house as well. She also stayed overnight so that our dog wasn't alone. She sent us updates, photos, and video's daily which we loved as I had a bit of anxiety leaving my dog alone for the first time as he gets separation anxiety. We highly recommend Ayisha and she will be the first one we contact if we go out of town again. Thank you again Ayisha for all your wonderful help!

Gracie is the best! She took excellent care of our two doggies, Birdie and Charlie, while we traveled out of town for a long weekend. She communicated really well, was punctual and most importantly our dogs love her. We'd recommend Gracie to anyone and will hire again in a heartbeat.

Summer is amazing!! Our girls absolutely love her and so do we. When it came time to schedule a sitter we automatically rebooked with Summer because of our previous experience with her was so perfect and stress free we just couldn’t imagine trying someone else.

Lyndsey did an outstanding job for us in watching our two dogs. In her initial visit with us she took detailed notes for our the routines of our dogs. She went beyond our expectations by scooping leaves out of our pool and adding a few chemicals- two tasks she willingly took on though we did not expect. She also communicated with us regularly to let us know how things were going. She spent the nights at our house and left our home very clean and in good order. We highly recommend Lyndsey and plan to hire her again for our next trip!

Tania (and her sweet little brother) did an amazing job caring for my two dogs and cat while I was away. She was an excellent communicator, kept me updated with plenty of photos, and gave me complete peace of mind knowing my pets were in such good hands. She truly went above and beyond, not only making sure my pets were well cared for, but also taking the time to water my garden and keep an eye on things around the house. It's clear she genuinely cares about both the animals and the families she helps. I would absolutely recommend Tania to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy sitter. I look forward to booking with her again in the future!

I had a very hectic booking due to moving right before my trip was starting and a flight delay on the way back, but Yvette was communicative and flexible throughout it all. My senior dog has some special health needs, but he and my apartment seemed well cared for while I was gone. Thank you again for taking care of Olaf, I would be happy to book again in the future! :)

Look no further! You have found your sitter! Natalie is extremely poised, communicative, loving with our pets. We have only left our tiny toy poodles once before, so we are as neurotic as they come. At our “meet and greet”, our most shy one let Natalie hold her as we walked around the house and outside. Natalie is what we would call a dog-whisperer. Her personality is so calm, our babies trusted her immediately.

Kylie communicated effectively about her arrivals and departures. The pictures she sent were clear and super cute. My cat threw up (classic cat behavior) and she was professional by letting me know immediately to assess if it was a medical concern or not. I’d definitely hire her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fort Worth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fort Worth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fort Worth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
