About: I have helped my family take care of animals since I was twelve years old. We foster animals through the Humane Society of North Texas and have helped numerous animals recover, grow, and get adopted. I have fostered with my family for close to nine years now, which includes experience with bottle babies (kittens and puppies), full grown dogs and cats, and even a pregnant guinea pig. I have taken care of neighbor's pets before and my family's dogs as well. I am a senior at Hendrix College and will have extra time to look after precious animals! I will be available to provide care for any pet(s) since I have some online classes. I will stick to whatever routine you have set for your animal(s). Whether they are indoor/outdoor or need to be crated and let out occasionally, I am flexible. I am also comfortable with animals of any size, and I have dealt with a lot of dogs with varying temperaments.

About: While most of my personal pet-care experience is with cats, I’m also comfortable caring for friendly dogs and getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I will carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any other needs. I’ll also provide plenty of photos and updates so you can feel confident that your dog is safe and cared for. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available for drop-in visits in the early mornings, evenings, and on weekends. I’m happy to coordinate visits around your animal’s usual feeding schedule and routine whenever possible. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability before confirming a booking. I care for pets in their own home, where they can feel most comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, litter-box, and household instructions while respecting each animal’s boundaries and personality. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or appetite, cautious with doors and windows, and will provide dependable updates and photos after every visit.

Elizabeth is fantastic with my dog! She makes sure he gets the time outside that he loves and also pays attention to his energy level as a senior dog and spends time with him as per his needs and preferences. Walking, sitting outside on the patio, and giving him all the snuggles. I feel confident my dog, Petie is getting all the TLC he deserves when Elizabeth is caring for him. Thank you, Elizabeth for giving me this peace of mind! Highly recommend!

About: I have experience working with very reactive, injured, and elderly dogs. I have two foster fail pugs, one with chronic health issues and the other who came to me injured and traumatized after being hit by a car. (I also have a Pug Emeritus who left me at the age of 16 and a half.) I grew up with Samoyeds, so I also have experience with large active dogs. If you are a Near Southside person, you might have seen me or my husband out and about with our pugs! I work from home and am available most days for home visits and walks. I have a car (and a SleepyPod car harness if your dog needs transportation). My home is not available as it is occupied by two snorting Velcro monsters who don’t like to share. However, I am happy to visit your home and/or take your pups out and about.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was little. I’ve always loved being around them!! This started out as something fun & quickly grew into one of my greatest passions. I’m currently in school online. My free time is used up by baking, cooking, or walking. I am left with plenty of free time so what better way to use it than to take fur babies on walks!! I think of our pets as humans. They’re loving, supportive, funny animals. All they show is love so why not show it back. 🐾 💕🐾 💕🐾

About: Hi! I’m an active, caring, and dependable pet lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I’m good with all dogs, from energetic pups who love long walks (my favorite) to sweet senior dogs who prefer a slower pace. I love walking and I go for daily long walks on my own time. I would love nothing more than having some companionship while taking a pup for some exercise. I’m also good with horses and farm animals, as I grew up with horses, chickens, goats. I grew up around all kinds of animals and am very comfortable around them. I love cats as well and have one of my own. I am happy to care for all of the above. I would treat your babies like they’re my own. I’m a dropout college student, I just moved here and I’m currently unemployed so at the moment I have all the time in the world to take care of your pets needs:) House sitters, friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to handle giving medications to animals, walk, feed, and bathe their pets. I have experience working with aggressive animals as well!

Ashley was punctual, understanding, and someone I completely trusted walking my golden retrievers. • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
