5. Jay & Meaghan S.
“Jay & Meaghan have looked after our pets on several occasions when we were traveling abroad. They are our #1 pet caregiver in our absence. We have 3 cats, 1 dog, and 6 chickens! We do not ask them to stay overnight, but we do request that they visit twice a day to let out our dog to potty and to play with our cats, which is a big ask. Our cats have automatic feeders, so primarily Jay and Meaghan need to monitor their water and spend time with them (the cats get anxious if no humans are around for more than a day or 2 even if automatic food/fountains meet their survival needs). We usually request that they clean the litter boxes a couple of times while we’re gone. Our dog gets anxious when away from home, so we prefer to leave her in a familiar environment and ask someone to check on her. She must be kept away from the cat feeders when they go off, so Jay and Meaghan have to be sure she’s in her room overnight. Our chickens need monitoring and their eggs collected. Jay and Meaghan also collect mail/packages and keep an eye on our house when they come to visit our pets. A lot of little tasks are involved, but primarily, our animals need attention and human companionship while we’re gone. Jay and Meaghan include their kids in the activities/care, which means they can give our pets a full family in our absence. The kids especially love on our animals—playing with them, cuddling with them, watching TV with them. They send us pictures and keep us aware of any concerns. When we return, they fill us in on which animals were most playful/friendly and any funny behavior. We can tell that they love our pets and have spent time with them! We can also tell that our animals love being around them and are well-adjusted when we return. We trust them to take care of our animals and our home.”

6. Skye D.

“My pup loved the walk!!”

7. Mariana & Martin M.
“Mariana has taken care of my dog Luna several times while I needed to be out of town. She was amazing and Luna loved her time with her! She kept good care of her and I noticed that Luna loves to go back and visit her! She has loved her times with Mariana and her family and I know that she is going to be a great person to take care of someone else's doggo!”

8. Trinity W.
About: Hi pet families! Working as a teacher doesn’t allow me the time to care for my own pet, but I have loved caring for other people’s dogs and cats all throughout college. I’ve loved on big dogs, kittens, even a few bunnies. It’s only me in my home so I love your furry visitors. I work full-time as a teacher from 7 am-4 pm but my evenings and weekends are open for boarding. I’m also usually available over breaks and holidays. I have a fenced yard, and no pets of my own. If your furry friend is a Lone Ranger you can ensure they’ll feel cozy at my home. I frequent walks through my neighborhood and around Trinity Park (For the dog families!)

“We’ve been so lucky to have Julia as our dog walker, as this was our first experience with Rover! She’s been incredibly flexible with our schedules, which we really appreciate. She even took the time to do a meet and greet with our sensitive dog to make sure they were comfortable, and it made all the difference. Both of our dogs absolutely love their walks with her.
