“Heather is the absolute BEST! What was supposed to just be a one time weekend sit ended up becoming a regular walking schedule because I just loved her calming presence and way with my puppy! She also took on my booking request which was not the standard booking due to my dog being new to me and not having a schedule yet with her, but Heather was so understanding and worked with my puppy and her needs! If you need someone trustworthy and dependable Heather is the go to person for sure!”

Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, a consistent routine, or simply companionship, I tailor my care to their individual needs. I’m patient with senior pets, attentive to medication schedules and special instructions, and committed to maintaining the routines that help pets feel safe and comfortable. In addition to pet care, I take pride in keeping a clean, secure, and well-maintained home. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of your property. On my remote workdays, I’m home throughout the day for companionship, walks, playtime, feeding, and potty breaks. On office days, I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets receive the care and attention they need before and after work. My evenings and weekends are generally open, allowing me to dedicate quality time to pet sitting, house sitting, overnight stays, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I understand how important consistency is, and I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care while you’re away. Safety, security, and your pet’s well-being are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and household routines. I ensure doors, gates, and windows are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and outdoor time, and maintain a clean, safe environment at all times. I also understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I’ll treat your home with the utmost respect, keep everything tidy, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets and home are being cared for with the same attention and respect I would give my own.
“Suzanne was so helpful with my dog Meech while I was recovering from an injury and unable to walk him. She was quick and professional and had no issues handling some of his reactivity on the leash. Would definitely book again and recommend to others!”

“Lexy goes above and beyond! She took my pup for walks and made sure to play with her and get her settled before leaving. Would recommend and hope to have her again!”

About: I have 3 pups of my own, and work with cats and dogs every day as a veterinary technician assistant at The PARC Animal Hospital. I've always loved animals, and feel so fortunate to be able to make that my full-time job! I would be honored to care for your pets while you're away! I currently work 10-hour shifts Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but would love to come hang out with your fur babies Sunday through Wednesday! I can swing by for walks or for cuddle time and feedings, or stay over and house sit. I will make sure for pets are safe and secure. I have one reactive dog, so I'm very familiar with keeping him safe and not putting anyone in an unsafe situations. I am experienced at giving meds, so I'm happy to administer anything from a pill at dinner time or an injection.

“Hana helped out at short notice and it was very easy to arrange Baloo’s walking schedule. Communication was good and we will definitely use again. Highly recommend!”
“Dalya is awesome!! Walked and hung out with our puppy, and sent plenty of photos/videos. She sent timely messages during her scheduled visit and was so quick to respond. Will be keeping her in mind for the future!”

“Lisa was fantastic with my three dogs. She did twice a day walk for Pitbull while we were on a 5 day vacation. Having a Pitbull will turn some walkers/sitters away and Lisa being experienced with this bred and being a vet tech was a blessing. We will booking her for a future trip and additional walks. She was the BEST!”

“Emily is great! She communicates well, is super sweet, and our dog loves his walks with her. She has been so helpful and I would recommend her to anyone who needs some help with their fur baby!”

About: I have taken care of a wide variety of animals. I was a farm manager for two years that had a variety of animals from horses, chickens, and even goats. I have also pet sit for dogs and cats of all ages. I am experienced in handling multiple animals at once and giving medication to animals. I am currently in grad school, which only takes up three days of my week but even then I am available at mornings and nights for those days. I care for other peoples pets as I do my own. Meaning lots of attention, awareness, and love. The biggest thing I make sure of is letting the animal tell me what attention they are comfortable with and what they are, especially when they do not know me.

About: I have experience with both dogs and cats that spans over 10 years! Currently I have two cats of my own, one of which has special needs. Also a little senior hedgehog! I have experience with dogs/cats of all sizes and endless patience for animals who may need special care. I believe strongly that all animals are precious and deserve the best care possible. I am a massage therapist that works Wednesday-Friday 9am-2pm and Saturday 9am-6pm. Sunday-Tuesday my schedule is open! I will always prioritize the animals needs first. I am committed to safely caring for any animal whether that be my own or others. Making sure doors are securely shut, walking into the home calmly and ensuring no animals bolt through the door.
About: As far as I can remember, I have always had pets. Dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, squirrels and the list goes on. I enjoy being with animals, they give me a sense of peace and well-being that I cannot find anywhere else. They ARE the best stress releaser. I have raised 2 litters of puppies and taken care of a few older furr babies. (They take a little more patience because they cannot get around like they used to) I do have a full-time job, but I can set my hours as needed. I am able to come home throughout the day and am home evenings and weekends. I have walking trails and a couple of parks that we can spend time together enjoying the outdoors. I share a home with my daughter and four-year-old granddaughter. Fur babies must be kid-friendly if staying the night. I have a fenced back yard. I do have a crate, if that is what you do when you are gone. I, also, am fine with them sleeping with me or near me if that is what you prefer.
About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’ve grown up taking care of my own pets, as well as those of neighbors and friends. I’ve had experience feeding them on a schedule, playing with them, and letting them outside regularly. I’m currently on summer break, so I have a lot of free time. I’m usually available most days to take dogs for walks or check on pets. I will take care of your pets and treat them with love and care, ensuring they are happy and well-fed, as well as your home, which I will maintain with respect and cleanliness.
About: I dog sit regularly for family and friends. I take my boyfriend’s dog for walks, play, and take him for trips to the dog park while he is at work. The dog is a 50lb labradoodle, so I have experience with larger dogs. My roommates have a cat who I help take care of too. I have spent my whole life volunteering at animal shelters like the LASPCA, and I have a vast knowledge of dogs, cats, and small pets. I have had pets in each of these categories my whole life, and I would love to help take care of your buddy! I am a law student, so my classes are my priority. I am free weekends, and during the weekdays I have class to work around. I have multiple green spaces at my apartment or near my apartment. I would love to take dogs on walks around LSU’s campus or for a trip to the dog park. I have a spacious apartment with lots of free space for playing. I keep dog toys and supplies at my apartment for animal visits. If you have a cat we have scratching posts, toys, and plenty of supervised playing space. Our home is animal-proofed as well!

Suzanne came through tonight and walked my dog when I was called away for an emergency! I appreciate their communication and response time with a request that only left a couple hours until booked appt time. Bonus points that he’s been helped by them before so I didn’t have to contact a complete stranger. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
