“Maria was fantastic! Reliable, efficient, and caring. Was able to work around an event happening in my neighborhood and easily problem solved some issues i had forgotten to go over with her. 10/10 would book again.”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on animal care experience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for a variety of farm animals, which taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of paying attention to an animal’s individual needs. Pet care is a part of my everyday life because I’m a pet owner myself. I currently have a French Bulldog, so I’m very familiar with the unique needs of brachycephalic breeds and understand the importance of monitoring their activity, breathing, and comfort. I’m currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Biomedical and Translational Sciences, and my summer schedule is relatively light, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-in visits. I have always loved animals and volunteered at my local animal shelter throughout my undergraduate studies, where I gained experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and needs. Providing pets compassionate care is something I genuinely enjoy. When caring for pets during drop-in visits and walks, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and following their normal routine as closely as possible. During drop-ins, I can provide food and water, potty breaks, playtime, administer basic medications if needed, and give plenty of attention and companionship. For walks, I prioritize making sure they stay hydrated and comfortable, especially during the summer heat. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to treat every pet as if they were my own.

“Kyra communicated throughout the drop in visit. She was great and went above and beyond while she was there. I have 2 senior dogs and finding someone that is kind and patient is amazing. Definitely booking again with her!”

About: As a board certified behavior analyst, you can be sure your pet is in good hands. I have owned both dogs and cats. Reinforcement based methods are used :) I take my dogs out 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, and night) and feed them twice a day, morning and night. I allow them to lead walks unless I’m specifically training for them to walk beside me. I take pets to the local dog park (unless not desired by owner) and use treats as reinforcement for good behavior. I would also take them to get pup cups. I allow pets on the couch so that’ll likely be the spot your pup sleeps on!
“Keirah did a great job with my dog, sending updates and taking photos during their time together for the drop in. She came at the time we discussed and my dog warmed up to her quickly! Thanks again!”

About: I have been a dog walker, dog bather, kennel tech, and worked at wildlife rehab. To say I love animals is an understatement, and I can't wait to meet and care for yours! I have been pet sitting in people's homes for nearly 20 years now, and have worked professionally with animals for many years. Dogs to Hedgehogs and snakes, tell me how to best care for your pets and I will exceed your expectations. I have watched over nursing puppies in shelters, and senior dogs in veterinary care and boarding, so I have experience with animals with anxiety and giving medications. I am on summer break from work at a local school, so your little ones will have my full attention. I do have a few 2/3 hr events two evenings a week, but I will be available for any pets in training, or who may need more frequents outdoor breaks. Because I understand that for many pets, consistency is very important, I try to stick as close to your regular walk/outside schedules as possible to make sure routines are kept just that*. Since every animal is different, I will let your pet lead the way with how much attention/ what kind of enrichment they like. I don't mean to brag, but my belly rubs are the bark of the town my neighborhood. **With the summer heat, I expect any walks taken will be very early or as the sun is setting so their paws are protected.
About: My phone screen says it all...it's a photo of my dog, the first thing I see every morning and the face I look forward to coming home to. That love is exactly what I bring to every pet I care for. For 15 years, friends and family have trusted me with their pets during vacations, emergencies, and everything in between. I know that when an owner steps away, their pet feels it. I'm patient enough to sit with that, calm enough to reassure them, and attentive enough to know what they need in the moment. Whether that's extra cuddles, a familiar routine, or just a steady, loving presence. What sets me apart isn't just experience. It's that I genuinely care. Your pet won't just be looked after, they will feel it. One of the best things about my schedule right now is the flexibility. Working part time means I can shape my days around the pets in my care, whether that's an early morning walk, staying close during those first anxious hours after an owner leaves, or simply being home and present. Your pet won't spend the day waiting. They'll spend it with someone who's actually there. From the moment a pet enters my care, their comfort and safety come first. I live alone which means no unexpected chaos, just a calm space where pets can relax and settle in. My big backyard gives dogs plenty of room to run and explore safely, and my flexible schedule means I'm never rushing out the door. Your pet has my time and full attention. Trust is everything. Fifteen years of caring for friends' and family's pets has taught me how to earn it quickly, from the animals and their owners. I keep communication open with regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is happy and loved. Whether I'm in my home or yours, my approach never changes: treat every animal exactly the way I'd want my own dog treated.
“Laurie was so awesome, she accepted my super last minute request and my baby got taken care of! She was extremely sweet and seemed to genuinely care about my dog! Will definitely rebook!”

About: I love animals of all shapes and sizes. Currently I have 3 dogs of my own who don’t live with me. I have taken care of newborn puppies up until 8 weeks. I have experience with a variety of different pet breeds. Your pets are in good hands! I have a part-time job and am a full time student at college but I have plenty of time to go for walks or to pets sit at any home and will be most available during the months of May-August! In my apartment complex we have a special dog friendly area that is fenced. There will be me and another resident in the apartment and can expect to be home the majority of the day. I have no problem answering any questions or concern!
About: I've been to several dog trainings with my own pups and I believe I've learned a lot from them. I've owned and dogsat all types of dogs for my family and my friends. From the fear reactive to the sweet couch potatoes. I'd love to spend some quality time with your fur babies while you are away! I work a full time job Monday - Friday but I am available all day or night during the weekends! If you are interested in services during the weekday I will be available after 6pm most days. I have a chain link fenced yard with extenders for the jumpers. A big yard for your pups to run around and play. I have 3 dogs at my house to play with your pups or I can keep them separately with baby gates. I also have 2 large kennels if you prefer for me to use. I do like the small gates better for more wiggle room but I will accommodate to what you feel comfortable with. For drop ins I would love to play fetch or tug with your pups and/or feed and give them what they may need.
“From our meet and greet to keeping us up to date on our pack…Maya was above our expectations! We booked her last minute due to an issue with a former pet sitter. She was impeccable in her timing for our request, responded quickly and put us at ease during our meet and greet. She made it easy for us to be able to keep our plans and put us at ease with her vast experience. No doubt Maya will be our go to from here on out!”

“Yuliya agreed to care for my pups with only a days notice. I was frantically attempting to book someone due to an event that came up that I had to attend. She provided them love and care and also took numerous photos as she knew that I missed them. She also brought in my parcels and gave my pups all their medications. I highly recommend Yuliya and her excellent services!”

I felt so comfortable leaving both my dog and cat with Shelby. She took such great care of them, sent lots of pics, and was very responsive. I felt at ease while on vacay, and could really enjoy my trip with no stress. 10/10 recommend! Will deff use again. 🫶🏻

Shelly was amazing. We couldn’t have chosen a better person to trust our pup with when we went out of town. Shelley was reliable and communicated early and often she even sent pictures along the way, so we knew our guy was well cared for it is never easy, leaving your dog behind. Shelley gave us the highest confidence that our guy was in good hands.

We had an emergency sitting situation and Alondra responded the same day—an absolute lifesaver! This was our first time using Rover and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was on time for every visit, treated our furbabies with so much love and care, and was respectful and thoughtful with our home. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
