I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments, including my first dog, a Dalmatian named Buford, who had epilepsy. When Buford experienced severe seizures, I would take immediate action by placing cushions around him to prevent injury and soothe him with a calming voice. I’ve also successfully trained my miniature Labradoodle, Zuzu, using cues like "stay," "heel," and "leave it," while ensuring consistency in her daily routine, which has helped her feel secure and well-behaved. I am passionate about helping dogs thrive in a positive environment. After an incident involving an aggressive dog, I’ve worked to help Zuzu regain her confidence around other dogs by socializing her with friendly medium and large dogs. I carry treats and use positive reinforcement techniques to make these encounters successful, which has helped Zuzu rebuild her trust in other dogs and become more relaxed during walks. In addition to behavior training, I have hands-on experience with grooming and maintaining my dog’s well-being. I personally handle Zuzu's bathing, grooming, and nail trimming, which has helped me become proficient in caring for her physical needs. My reliability, commitment, and passion for dog care drive me to provide the best experience for the pets I care for. Whether the task is walking, feeding, or providing companionship, I am ready to meet each dog’s unique needs.

I walk her regularly, ensuring she gets not only physical exercise but also the mental stimulation that all dogs need to stay happy and relaxed. I’ve trained her to heel on a leash using positive reinforcement, using treats and praise to reward her during training sessions. This method allows me to reinforce good behavior while keeping her engaged and motivated. In addition to daily walks, I take care of all her grooming needs, including bathing, nail trimming, and coat maintenance. Keeping her clean and well-groomed is another important part of our routine. I make sure she’s comfortable with these tasks, ensuring a stress-free experience. Our time together is structured around creating a balanced and rewarding environment where Zuzu feels secure, loved, and challenged. This blend of mental and physical exercise keeps her happy and relaxed, allowing her to thrive as a well-behaved and affectionate companion.

I believe playing is very important to dogs of all ages. Along with humans, dogs are among the few species that continue to be playful as they age. Fetch is a great way to play, build trust, and get exercise in a short period of time. It satisfies the need to work/play with humans, chasing, and retrieving. It's a great way to have fun and develop your relationship with your pup.
