Pet care is a part of my everyday life because I’m a pet owner myself. I currently have a French Bulldog, so I’m very familiar with the unique needs of brachycephalic breeds and understand the importance of monitoring their activity, breathing, and comfort. I’m currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Biomedical and Translational Sciences, and my summer schedule is relatively light, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-in visits. I have always loved animals and volunteered at my local animal shelter throughout my undergraduate studies, where I gained experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and needs. Providing pets compassionate care is something I genuinely enjoy.

When caring for pets during drop-in visits and walks, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and following their normal routine as closely as possible. During drop-ins, I can provide food and water, potty breaks, playtime, administer basic medications if needed, and give plenty of attention and companionship. For walks, I prioritize making sure they stay hydrated and comfortable, especially during the summer heat. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to treat every pet as if they were my own.

Since it is pretty hot, I’m also happy to spend time indoors playing, giving belly rubs, cuddling, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved. My goal is to make sure every pet has fun while staying safe and happy!

She has lots of experience in healthcare for senior citizens, the homeless population, and disabled people. She brings her passion for helping people to everything she does. I have and would continue to trust her with the care of my dog Uzi. Even though he has quirks that would make some caretakers unwilling, Avery has always treated him with love and care.
I would highly recommend Avery Glarborg as a pet sitter. She has watched my dog, Midnight, several times, and I always trust her to take great care of him. Every time midnight sees Avery he always gets excited and always wants to show love. She is fun, loving, and really good with dogs. She knows how to handle giving out treats and makes sure pets are happy and well taken care of. Avery is sweet, kind, and respectful, and she will make sure everyone feels included and loved. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and I would trust her with Midnight again anytime I need a sitter.
