“Kyra communicated throughout the drop in visit. She was great and went above and beyond while she was there. I have 2 senior dogs and finding someone that is kind and patient is amazing. Definitely booking again with her!”

About: ❤️I love pets deeply; we shared 30 years with them, and when they’re gone, it’s because old age took them, after a life by our side.🐾 It fits perfectly; since I am very organized, I have time for everything I need to do during the day, and if I don’t have the time, I don’t take on jobs I can’t fulfill.”🕣 I’m going to take care of your pet with all my love, adjusting my schedule to their needs, so they can enjoy walks, good food, and a day full of comfort, as if their owner were at home. 😁🏡🐾

About: I’ve been around pets all my life! I’ve never lived in a house that did not have a dog or cat present, and it just doesn’t feel like home without one! I’m currently an owner of a 7 year old cat myself, but I’ve always been around dogs of all ages and sizes! I frequently pet sit and stay overnight for family members, as well. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30 am-4:30 pm, but I do have an hour lunch break from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, which I can use to check on your pet, take them on a short walk, play, or feed them (if needed!) I do not work on the weekends, so I am 100% available to stay overnight Friday-Saturday and make sure everything is good to go before I leave on Sunday! Before I leave and while I’m there, I always make sure there is nothing left out that an animal can get into, and I always ensure there is water and food that is easily accessible to them. A good play session is something I like to do to make sure they were given enough attention before I leave, or, for dogs, I take them on a short walk to get some of that energy out!
“Paris was great with Cinnamon. Everything I requested, she did. I definitely recommend her and will using her again. Thank you so much for helping with my girl!”

“Sabrina was WONDERFUL! She was so good with our cats (and our turtle!). She always provided a daily status and photos of all of our animals. The cats took to her right away. She followed instructions perfectly. Everything was in perfect order when we got home the next week, and the kitties seemed very happy and well-cared for. I highly recommend Sabrina to care for your pets! You won't be disappointed!”

About: I love animals of all shapes and sizes. Currently I have 3 dogs of my own who don’t live with me. I have taken care of newborn puppies up until 8 weeks. I have experience with a variety of different pet breeds. Your pets are in good hands! I have a part-time job and am a full time student at college but I have plenty of time to go for walks or to pets sit at any home and will be most available during the months of May-August! In my apartment complex we have a special dog friendly area that is fenced. There will be me and another resident in the apartment and can expect to be home the majority of the day. I have no problem answering any questions or concern!
“Ann was excellent! She was extremely punctual, reliable, and very accommodating with our last-minute booking. She communicated well and made the entire process easy and stress-free. We really appreciated her flexibility and how well she took care of our dogs. I would absolutely recommend Ann and will definitely book with her again!”

“Tereza was wonderful with our two cats, Absinthe and Lucius! She sent thoughtful daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She quickly picked up on their very different personalities - our outgoing black cat and our shy tabby - and was so patient with Lucius while he warmed up to her. She even let us know when she found one of their Churu treats and checked before giving them another one, which showed how attentive she was. I highly recommend Tereza. ❤️”

“Amberstar has been such a blessing! She has been so helpful with my senior dog Jasper and has been able to come for drop in's three days a week, which gives me such peace of mind. She is great and sending cute pictures and updates, and Jasper just loves her! Amberstar is a 10 out of 10!!!”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I am currently employed as a veterinarian technician. I have done pet-sitting for about 4 years. I do also pet-sit cats. I work as a full time veterinary technician. I work about 5-6 days a week. I am able to stop in for check-ins in the AM and PM before and after work. I am comfortable giving medication. I am able to house sit, walk, check-in, or just play with your pet. Being in veterinary medicine, I understand sometimes medication is needed, senior, diabetic, etc. I am able to tailor to each individual pet, as I understand that every pets needs are different.
“We would not hesitate to have Gabrielle watch our pets again! She went all out to make sure we had peace of mind knowing our animals were OK while we were away. We could not be more happy with her visits and great communication. She was very professional, and with her experience working at a vet we knew she could handle any situation. It is very easy to recommend her for anyone needing an experienced pet sitter.”

About: I have been a dog walker, dog bather, kennel tech, and worked at wildlife rehab. To say I love animals is an understatement, and I can't wait to meet and care for yours! I have been pet sitting in people's homes for nearly 20 years now, and have worked professionally with animals for many years. Dogs to Hedgehogs and snakes, tell me how to best care for your pets and I will exceed your expectations. I have watched over nursing puppies in shelters, and senior dogs in veterinary care and boarding, so I have experience with animals with anxiety and giving medications. I am on summer break from work at a local school, so your little ones will have my full attention. I do have a few 2/3 hr events two evenings a week, but I will be available for any pets in training, or who may need more frequents outdoor breaks. Because I understand that for many pets, consistency is very important, I try to stick as close to your regular walk/outside schedules as possible to make sure routines are kept just that*. Since every animal is different, I will let your pet lead the way with how much attention/ what kind of enrichment they like. I don't mean to brag, but my belly rubs are the bark of the town my neighborhood. **With the summer heat, I expect any walks taken will be very early or as the sun is setting so their paws are protected.

About: Growing up, our household had many different types of pets. Including dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, rodents and more. I am very comfortable dealing with all sorts of animals, whatever shapes and sizes. I exceed in communication and do not mind adapting to any new situation. I love spending time with animals and assure that your pet will be in good hands! I work full time as an opening manager. This allows me to have most afternoons free. I am not available on Mondays and Tuesdays, but I can be flexible any other day of the week. I am very respectful to the pets and the houses in which they reside. I maintain a clean organized house of my own, and will treat any place with the same values. I am not afraid of any animal but do honor boundaries with pets and their families alike. I have no issues with special requests or strange habits, and will do my best to accommodate for our furry friends.
“Kelsey was our experience with this service, and we couldn't be more satisfied. Very professional, responsive, and helpful! Our cat Cherry felt comfortable and cared for. Thank you very much, Kelsey!”

“Amazing as always. Winta treats your pet with the same love and care that you would give and then some. Her daily pictures and updates made it easy to relax knowing he was in such great care.”

“Shelly was amazing! It was our first trip leaving our kittens at home and she couldn’t have been nicer. Not only did she reassure US, she updated us all along the way with pictures and messages. She also took in our mail and took out the kitchen trash, which was above and beyond anything to even ask for in advance. Shelly is a dream to have as a sitter, we will definitely be a repeat customer! joe and Trixie give 8 paws up. ?”

About: I have had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, therefore I have been taking care of animals my entire life. Because I have had many pets before including dogs, cats, fish, etc., I know that when it is time to travel either for business or vacation, or you are simply too busy to take care of your pet, it is important to have someone you can trust to take care of your pets like they are their own. I am a careful pet sitter who respects the animals and gives them anything and everything they need. I want the pets to be comfortable whether they are boarding with me or I am going to them. When it is time to work, my animals are my priority.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Arlington
From the first meeting I knew it was going to work out. My cats took to Sabrina almost immediately. It was very nice to know that Sabrina was experienced with cats and it showed. Excellent updates the entire span of visits and the great peace of mind to have someone trustworthy taking care of my wonderful boys!

Kyra is absolutely wonderful! We always feel completely comfortable leaving our pets in her care. She’s dependable, communicative, and takes such great care of them while we’re away. It’s such a relief knowing they’re with someone we trust. We’re always happy to have Kyra watch them and would definitely recommend her!

Corrina was awesome with my two cats! She played with my friendly, overly brave boy and won over my shy (okay, scared) girl. She adhered to my recommendations for care and schedules and asked applicable follow-up questions as needed. It was reassuring to have my pets in such capable and caring hands. I would absolutely recommend Corrina to anyone and rebook whenever our schedules align.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arlington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
