“Thank you so much, Araselly, for taking such wonderful care of Copper. This was my first time leaving him with anyone other than his vet’s boarding, and you made it feel completely natural. You were so caring, and I could tell Copper felt loved and safe — like he was with family. Your updates and photos showed how happy he was, and it made my trip so much more relaxing. Knowing he was in exceptional hands meant everything to me. Thank you a billion times over!”

“Nancy and her family were just wonderful. I received daily updates and pictures showcasing my pups smiling face. He seemed to truly enjoy his time and I would highly recommend! Thank you Nancy and family!”

“Makae was so wonderful with our puppy! Very easy going, sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day, and even made a cute little kerchief for Ruby for when I picked her up. Ruby loved playing with Riley and got lots of attention. Highly recommend!”

“I asked Jonathan to care for my new 6 year old dog while on vacation. Jonathan agreed and the experience was absolutely the best. You see, my new dog, Andy had previously lived with a neighbor behind me and bc Andy is a fence jumper my neighbor had locked the dog in a cage his entire life. So he was not socialized or house broken until just the last 3 months since I took him to live with me, however I had given Jonathan as much info as I knew about him. Jonathan was so attentive with Andy he even made a special leash where Andy could run in his very large backyard but yet could not jump the fence. My biggest fear was he would run away but Jonathan sent me videos every day so I could see he was safe and happy. This was so comforting for me. When I picked up Andy he seemed a but confused which broke my heart bc I truly believe my new dog wanted to stay with Jonathan. I really think Andy had a great week staying with Jonathan and I will certainly call him again when I need a safe place for Andy to land for a few days or weeks. Jonathan is the best. Oh and Andy had his own spot on Jonathan's couch just like home.”

“Victor is awesome. She goes out of her way to make my fur babies loved and welcomed. This was my second time and I have already scheduled her again. Highly recommend her.”

“Shannon did a great job in watching our Bella. She gave us day-to-day pictures and post of exactly what she was doing and the Care she was providing. We will definitely use her again. I recommend her to for everybody. Thank you Shannon.”

“Monica did a wonderful job caring for our new dog. We were surprised that she even ate all her food while she was there and so was obviously comfortable! She had other dogs to play with and was happy when we picked her up. Communication was wonderful, and she sent us photos and videos daily.”

“Janet was so lovely! This was my first time using Rover as an owner instead of a sitter, and I knew my dog was in good hands based on Janet’s great communication - she was able to help us out in a pinch and pick our girl up from somewhere else while we were gone. From one sitter to another, I highly recommend Janet and am so thankful for her help!”

“Andrea and Jerry are the best! They sent so many photos and videos of Sophie and I could tell she was having the best time with them! I was able to relax on my vacation and know that my pup was well taken care of :)”

“Brenda was awesome with our little Lola. She sent me videos and kept me updated all the time. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands. Thanks again Brenda !!!”

“Super happy with Ernest and the way he treated my baby Pepper. She was very comfortable with him from the moment I took her to meet him, she loved the back yard and all the smells she was finding. When I picked her up she was in a happy mood and not all depressed like she’s has been before when we board her at boarding businesses. He was great with sending pictures and updates. 10/10 would recommend. He’s my go to guy from now on!”

“Stella had an amazing stay!! From the moment I dropped her off, I could tell she was in great hands. Stella immediately made a new best friend, Millie. Loved they were able to play with each other throughout her stay! Rileigh and Jackson clearly adored Stella and made her feel comfortable and safe. They sent updates and photos, and Stella looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I’m very grateful and will absolutely book again!!”

“Super sweet and understanding! They are flexible and accommodating. They took excellent care of my baby and even gave her a bath! Thank you both, I would totally book with them again.”

“Christina was awesome!! She was very attentive, took great care of our dog, made him feel comfortable, and kept us updated on how he was doing. Would definitely recommend using Christina if you need a great sitter!”

“Hayley took care of Sammy as if he were her own. She sent us daily photo updates, and it was clear from every picture that Sammy was happy and truly enjoying his weekend with them. We couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“Amazing experience, they took great care of our pet. Their dogs are wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend and be rebooking with them in the future.”

“Lainey took tremendous care of our dog. She was very attentive to his needs, she did her best to make him feel right at home, she communicated any concerns or questions with us, and sent us updates while we were away. We will definitely have her care for him in the future!”

“I am so happy to have had my dog stay with Claire, Craig, Scarlette and Penny. Her home and yard are ideal for dogs and Jake had a great time. It’s the first time I’ve ever left him overnight and Claire sent me texts and pictures to let me know he was doing great. I’ll definitely be back.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Worth
As someone in the vet med industry and as a helicopter mom when it comes to my furbabies, Daniel really put my worries to rest. Bruno usually goes on a hunger strike at normal boarding facilities but Daniel made sure he would never go hungry. My 2 kids are very energetic and are crazy (heeler and a mixed breed) but he was so kind and understanding and so patient with them. Made them feel right at home. Never skipped a beat as far as routine goes and followed the many directions to a T. My fiance and I are already planning on going to San Antonio later this year and Daniel will be on the top of our list when it comes to sitters. I again Daniel can't thank you enough for taking such great care of them and for putting up with their crazyiness 😂

OBESSEDDDD. Scooty Booty had the best time staying with Sierra and Liam! They were so responsive and their property is every dogs dream. They sent videos and pictures often and are so nice in person as well. I actually feel a little guilty for sending my dog to a kennel all this time when he could've been enjoying a big back yard and some 24/7 TLC this whole time!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
