About: I truly treat every pet like my own. I make it a priority to keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and little notes so you always know how your fur babies are doing. I understand how important peace of mind is when you’re away, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. With over a decade of experience caring for dogs that need daily medication, I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and patient. I take time to play, comfort, and bond with each animal - not just to meet their needs, but to make sure they feel loved and secure. Just let me know how I can help! All summer I am FREE! During the school year I’m available for some Saturdays, all Sundays, and weekdays after 6-7 PM. I am a teacher! Whether you need an evening walk, weekend drop-in, or someone to spend a little extra time with your pets while you’re away, I’m happy to help whenever I can! When caring for pets in their own homes, I make sure they feel completely comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine closely — feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, and cuddles — to keep everything as familiar as possible for them. I’m available for week day walks, drop-ins, and extended sitting, depending on what your pets need. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience giving medications to my own dogs (one of whom needs multiple meds daily), so I’m very comfortable administering pills, liquids, or injections if needed. Communication is a must for me. I will always let you know if something comes up, all I ask is the same from you! If we have clear communication from the start we will be just fine! Whether it’s walks around the block, belly rubs, backyard fetch sessions, or just sitting with them for comfort, I give every pet the same love and attention I give my own - Roscoe and Blue have taught me how much those little moments matter. My goal is always to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.

“She is the best person to leave your baby with always send updates and pictures. I don’t have a care in the world when I know he’s with her. Thanks again for always taking good care of him.”

“Adam is the best!!! Selah did not want to leave! Adam could not get her to go inside her crate! Adam was trying to give her a treat to go inside her crate and Selah jumped down of the truck! It's was really sad. The way she looked at Adam when he walked off and we were driving off with her, it was mind-blowing and precious! Selah just ignored me the rest of the day. 😊 She misses Adam! Thank you for a job well done Adam!”
“Peggy was fantastic and so easy to work with! My dog, Gumbo, can be very easily stressed in new situations and it was evident in ALL the photos Peggy sent that Gumbo had a great time and relaxed right away. Peggy was also extremely flexible with my schedule and allowed for me to bring Gumbo as needed during my stay in Forth Worth. Thank you Peggy!!”

“Stephanie was the perfect sitter for Lady. The moment Lady and I walked into her house for our meet and greet to the moment I picked lady up from her visit, I felt so comfortable with Stephanie. Her home was so warm and peaceful and right from the start, she was so gentle with Lady. All the pictures she sent me of Lady during her stay were so sweet and Lady was smiling in most of them. Stephanie texted me several times a day along with pictures and kept me posted on how Lady was doing. I had nothing to worry about…priceless!!! I’m hesitant to leave such a good review because I don’t want Stephanie to get too booked up. I WILL be using her any time I go out of town if she’s available.”

“Kristen was absolutely amazing with my dogs! She sent lots of pictures and videos while I was gone and made me feel so comfortable leaving my babies with her. One of mine is a puppy and she was so patient and helpful with all his puppy needs. I will definitely ask to help with my fur babies again!”
“This was my first time using Rover, and she made it a wonderful experience. I have an eleven year old dog that has never been boarded, and he appeared to have a great time. Communication was great, and she sent pictures often. He looked so happy and comfortable there. I would not hesitate to have her watch him or any others I acquire in the future.”

About: I’ve had experience with both dogs and cats, having been a dog owner myself and currently a volunteer foster in the DFW area. I have cared for all ages — including puppies, kittens as young as 1 week old, adult cats/dogs and senior dogs. I hope to care for your pet be it in the comfort of their home or ours. Lots of room in the backyard for zoomies! I do work full time but have the flexibility to work from home. I typically go into the office 3 days a week and do half days as I occasionally pet sit or care for foster animals. Happy to talk about arrangements or flexibility! We do not have any permanent resident pets in our home, just the occasional fosters. We do crate when away from home, but pets have full roaming capabilities when we’re home. If I come to your home I’m happy to abide by any rules or routines you prefer!
“Nick and Ashley were amazing sitters for Snooki, they were in contact and sent pictures the entire time. I can tell Snooki had a great time with them. I will definitely book with them again in the future!”

“Jacob did a great job taking care of Pluto! He was reliable, friendly, and kept me updated the whole time. Pluto was happy and well taken care of when I got back. I would definitely recommend Jacob and will be booking him again in the future! 🐾”

“First time I ever left my baby with someone I did not personally know and was beyond happy! She exceeded all my expectations and made the whole experience worry free. My little dog had a blast and is now going to be extra excited I go on vacation!”

“We highly recommend Martha because her family helps your dogs feel at home. She sent lots of pictures, and we could tell that our dogs were happy and loved! ❤❤❤”

About: I have been a part of a pet friendly home, consisting of numerous dogs and a cat since I was four years old. Having cared for multiple pets for so long throughout my upbringing, I have learned so much about the needs of various dogs. The last couple of years, I have been given different opportunities to care for the pets of friends, whether it be dogs or chickens. Doing this, I have found that I absolutely love taking care of other peoples’ pets and showing them genuine love and care when their owners are away. Something I value greatly is clear and open communication, meaning I am proactive in asking questions if needed or sharing any pictures or memories made along the way. I can’t wait to care for your furry friend! I currently have no other major responsibilities and Rover is my summer job before I enter college, meaning I am available on any day the week at any time throughout the day. I regularly make sure my client’s pets have the requested amount of food and water, as well as any medication they need. I am proactive in letting the dogs out when they need it and cleaning litter boxes for cats.

Elissa was so sweet with Gus while I went to Pensacola for the week! She sent lots of pictures to keep me updated! She even gave him a bath before I picked him up so he was nice and clean! He seemed to have a really good time and played a lot with the other dogs!

Great Family! Dolly (our dog) loved her visit. They sent many pictures and kept us updated with her visit. We will use them again for our next vacation. Thanks so much for making our vacation relaxing because we did not have to worry about our dog's care while we were gone! A+ caregivers!

Lily took care of my dogs, Luna and Ozzy, for four days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Luna can be a challenge sometimes, and during this stay, she definitely tested boundaries — rolling in poop, running off, and just being her mischievous self. But Lily handled it all with such grace and a mellow attitude. She never got frustrated or upset — instead, she kept me informed with calm, thoughtful updates and responded to my messages right away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my dogs and wanted them to feel comfortable and loved. I truly appreciated her patience, kindness, and professionalism. I would trust Lily with Luna and Ozzy anytime! I highly recommend Lily to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate, and easygoing sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
