About: I’m new to Rover, but I have plenty of experience caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve helped with feeding, walks, playtime, check-ins, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I also understand how important it is to follow each pet’s routine and provide updates so you can feel comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I work full-time, but I have plenty of availability for pet care throughout the week. I’m available all day Sunday through Tuesday. Wednesday through Saturday, I’m available around noon for drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, or other pet care needs. I’ll always communicate clearly and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they need. I always make sure pets are cared for in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, walks, medications, and any special needs. I can say I know my way of understanding an animals need/wants. Animals are very precious to me, this is my passion and I love being around all kinds of animals! On my days off I normally go out to find new adventures/activities with my animals, or I make sure I get important things completed. About: I have had cats as pets my whole life and dogs as an adult. I have been pet sitting for about 6 years to dogs from puppies to seniors. Times have ranged from weekends to a month. I started fostering kittens when covid hit. I have found joy in caring for animals with all their different personalities. I have become experienced in all things kittens : bottle feeding , tube feeding administering medicine (my neighbor will even call me to give her pets pills) flea baths ringworm baths, brushing teeth you name it . I have even had to help kittens cross the rainbow bridge. It has been bitter sweet , but the love they give is more then enough. All animals deserve the best treatment and love we can give them I have been in education for 34 years teaching art and an administrator for the Fine Arts Department. I am retired now and have a lot of free time to spend with my favorite animals. I have found pet sitting and fostering to be very rewarding and someday would like to start my own fostering service. I have recently started rehabbing opossums, which is quite fun and much different than our tamer than our average 4 legged friends My job is flexible enough that i can leave for lunch and take care of your pets in the middle of the day as well. I reached out at the last minute, and she was incredibly flexible and made everything work without any stress on my end. My puppy is a high energy handful (5 month old blue heeler) and Savanna took especially good care of him. She followed his routine closely, and even asked about continuing to work on his training while I was away. She sent lots of photos and updates throughout the stay, so I always knew how he was doing and could relax while I was gone. Savanna was also respectful of my home and property. If you are looking for a sitter who communicates well, adapts to your needs, and can handle an energetic dog with patience and care, I cant recommend Savanna enough.
