Myra does great house sitting with our dog and two cats! We have used her a couple of times now and will continue to do so! She has a great attitude, great communication and follow through, and always seems to have our and our fur babies best interest in mind! We always come back to a clean and happy household!

The perfect sitter! I have two big dogs. They are awesome but 150lbs of dog can be a handful. He handled them like a pro and they adore him. I look forward to booking again. I felt so comfortable being away from the house knowing they were in great hands.

As a pet owner you can tell when they’ve been loved and well cared for and when I returned I knew Diana had filled my shoes to a tee !! I’ll never travel again without knowing first that Diana is available?

"I'm not sure I ever want to use another house sitter ever again" - my girlfriend a few moments before we went to bed on the freshly washed sheets in our spotless apartment Couldn't agree more. Raymell and Serenity were simply amazing. This was our first time using any app to have a pup watched, and for house sitting in general, and I am so glad we found Ray and Serenity. They were in constant communication with us our entire 5 day trip. We received updates for Ushi (our 12 week boston puppy), great pictures, and came back to our apartment cleaner than we left it (and I thought it was pretty damn clean!). All instructions we left for them were followed, and they promptly asked questions the moment they were unsure about anything. If I could leave more stars I would. We got stuck in San Diego a little longer than expected due to the tropical storm and Ray and Serenity were EXTREMELY accommodating and empathetic to our situation. THANK YOU BOTH!

Jen was absolutely amazing with my little princess Chacha. She went way above and beyond my expectations. I’m not sure Chacha missed me very much because of the great care from Jen. Jen followed my care instructions to a T, and even woke at 430am to keep Chacha on her normal feeding schedule. I wouldn’t hesitate to re-book or recommend Jen. She is amazing!

About: I truly treat every pet like my own. I make it a priority to keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and little notes so you always know how your fur babies are doing. I understand how important peace of mind is when you’re away, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. With over a decade of experience caring for dogs that need daily medication, I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and patient. I take time to play, comfort, and bond with each animal - not just to meet their needs, but to make sure they feel loved and secure. Just let me know how I can help! All summer I am FREE! During the school year I’m available for some Saturdays, all Sundays, and weekdays after 6-7 PM. I am a teacher! Whether you need an evening walk, weekend drop-in, or someone to spend a little extra time with your pets while you’re away, I’m happy to help whenever I can! When caring for pets in their own homes, I make sure they feel completely comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine closely — feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, and cuddles — to keep everything as familiar as possible for them. I’m available for week day walks, drop-ins, and extended sitting, depending on what your pets need. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience giving medications to my own dogs (one of whom needs multiple meds daily), so I’m very comfortable administering pills, liquids, or injections if needed. Communication is a must for me. I will always let you know if something comes up, all I ask is the same from you! If we have clear communication from the start we will be just fine! Whether it’s walks around the block, belly rubs, backyard fetch sessions, or just sitting with them for comfort, I give every pet the same love and attention I give my own - Roscoe and Blue have taught me how much those little moments matter. My goal is always to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and enjoy working with them. I currently have 3 dogs that require lots of attention! Most dogs take an instant liking and trust with me and so do cats. I have no allergies to pets either. I have 2 years of exotics with birds and reptiles. I’m currently job-hunting and am looking for income to raise money for law school. I am free most days and can do weekends and overnight stays I have a full fenced backyard as well as a dog door for emergencies. I feed my dogs separately. Room doors are always open if animals need anything and a doggie door to go outside. At your home you can expect respect and cleanliness. I appreciate written instructions on how you like things at your home. Additionally, please let me know rules on eating in the house, guests, etc.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my 18-yeat old Yorkie Poodle, Sasha. Caring for her through every stage of life has taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of paying attention to each dog's unique needs. I know first hand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I'll treat your furry family member like Sasha. I'll make sure your baby feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Pet care has been a part of my daily routine for many years. Since I work from home, I'm able to provide frequent potty breaks, regular meals, plenty of attention, and companionship throughout the day. My goal is to follow each pet's routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications etc. I also believe in keeping pet parents informed by providing regular updates and photos so they have peace of mind.

Sam was absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough! From the very beginning, she went above and beyond by coming over for a meet and greet so she could fully understand our dogs’ routines and needs. That alone gave us so much peace of mind before leaving for our trip. While we were away, Sam communicated consistently and thoughtfully—sending updates and photos that reassured us our dogs were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy. It was clear she wasn’t just “checking in,” she was truly spending quality time with them and enjoying their company. We have three dogs, including one who can be a bit more challenging, and even she warmed up to Sam right away with no issues. That speaks volumes about her calm, caring nature and her natural connection with animals. On top of that, she was incredibly responsible and made sure our home was safe and well looked after. We came home to happy dogs and total peace of mind. Sam is trustworthy, attentive, and clearly loves what she does—and our dogs absolutely love her right back. We will 100% be using her again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Crowley

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Crowley on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,092 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Crowley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crowley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crowley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crowley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crowley. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
