“We are extremely satisfied with Lori’s services. After being away for 9 to 10 days, we returned to find our dogs in excellent health and spirits, clearly well cared for during our absence. The regular updates, including pictures and videos, significantly alleviated our concerns. We are certainly planning to use her again and have already arranged for her to housesit during our upcoming vacation.”

“Thank you Casey for your awesomeness. Yogi loved your companionship. We both truly appreciate your kindness, happiness, helpfulness and awesomeness. Yogi loves his new friend Casey. We both look forward to seeing you again. Thank you for your excellent attention and friendship. 😊⭐️🤗⭐️🐕”

“Amy was AMAZING! She took great care of our dog and cat (and house) while we were out of the country. Very communicative, sending pictures and fun updates everyday which really helped ease our worries. Very thoughtful, taking our dog for extra walks if she saw the weather was going to be bad the following days. Very caring, making sure they didn't go too long alone without a potty break even on the day we were due back. And very patient, as it takes a little while for our fur babies to warm up to people. We will be keeping fingers crossed she is available for our future needs and would definitely recommend her to others!”

“We had a wonderful experience with our pet sitter! They took excellent care of our two dogs and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Communication was great throughout the stay, with regular updates and photos that showed our pups were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear that our dogs received plenty of attention, love, and exercise. We came home to two happy dogs and a clean environment, which we truly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter, and we look forward to booking with them again in the future!”

“Laura is a friendly, dependable, dog loving sitter. She stayed at our house while we were away and cared for our three dogs who all eat differently and take medication. We could tell when she met them that she would love them like we do. And when we returned they were happy and not traumatized. We highly recommend Laura.”
“Kenzie was wonderful! She took great care of our pets and kept us updated with photos throughout our trip, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We had an unexpected issue with our dog run being torn up during pool construction, and she adapted to the situation without any trouble. She was easy to communicate with, receptive to any requests, and left our home clean and well cared for. We came home to happy pets and a tidy house. We'd happily book with Kenzie again!”

About: I have many pets of my own. This includes three dogs, two mice, gecko, and a bunch of fish!! I love taking care of animals and making sure they are as happy as they can be even when their owner isn't home! ❤️ During the summer I will be pretty free! However, during the school year I always make sure to change my schedule to accommodate the needs of your pets I take care of pets the way their owner wants me to! I will also play and give them lots of love. Feeding on time is important. I always make sure they have water so they are hydrated!
“Couldn't ask for a better sitter! Mackenzie treated Groot like a prince. Even though he's 125 lbs it was no problem for her. She was very attentive and extra kind. Im going to look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!”

“Tayler and her daughter were amazing and went above and beyond to make our 4 fur babies loved and took really good care of them. All four have different personalities😅😅 and she tended to all of them ❤️❤️❤️. We will 💯 recommend her to others and book her again.”

“He was great with Jaime! She was so excited to have him over with her all week. He helped her calm down and taught her to take it easy. She took to him so well and all the pictures were so cute. We’re going to use him the next time we go out of town.”

“Sade was an absolute dream to work with. She was on time and very receptive to communicating regarding the booking and the “girls”. With regards to taking care of the girls: we could not have asked for a greater human to watch over our girls. Sade sent updates and pictures. Throughout the week and the girls looked absolutely happy, even our senior dog who is Leary of people. We had awful weather while we were away and Sade kept us in the look regarding our high anxiety dog and kept her calm throughout the storms. Sade also watched over our tortoise and she did an awesome job with him too (he’s a laid back kinda guy). I would DEFINITELY recommend Sade to watch your beloved “pets”.”

“Lori & Bailey are the absolute best! She was the most amazing sitter to my dog Missy and looked after the house while I was away. She sent pictures and let me know how everything was going regularly, it seemed my dog and her pup Bailey made great friends! Thank you so much Lori for being so wonderful, kind & attentive!”

About: Hi there! My name is Lauren. Some helpful things to know about me is that I have 5+ years experience in animal care. I've worked at animal shelters and as a manager at a pet daycare/boarding facility, I also have done pet sitting and dog walking on my own in the past. I've recently moved to the area and want to continue working with animals. I am responsible, reliable and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I love to send lots of updates and pictures so you know your pets are well taken care of. I have just recently moved to Alvarado and left my job at Operation Kindness Humane Society because the commute would of been too long. So my schedule is very open as of right now while I look for another job. I have a large yard, however it is not fully fenced. If you'd like for your pup to come to my house I would walk them to go potty. I also have 2 dogs that are dog friendly so if your pup likes to play they will get along great. My dogs are fully vaccinated and up to date all all shots and preventions. For your baby to stay with me I would need to see vaccination records, just to make sure everyone is safe and healthy. If you'd prefer me to pet sit at your home I am more than happy to do that as well and stay consistent with the daily routine you have with your animals. This is usually my preferred way, as it is less stressful for your animals to be in a familiar environment.

About: I’m a retired educator and animal lover with the time and flexibility to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care. While I’m newer to professional pet sitting, I’ve cared for my own animals for years, completed two long-distance puppy transports from DFW to Charlotte and Los Angeles, and have repeat sitting experience with my cousin’s two dogs. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable and patient caring for your pets and home. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, whether that means walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra cuddles. I’m also comfortable giving basic medications if needed. What sets me apart is that I have the time to truly focus on your pets and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I also believe good communication matters, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I’m retired, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to devote to caring for your pets. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet would receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily work around your pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, or quiet time. My goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed by keeping their routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with both your pets and your home is a big decision. I will always treat your home with respect and care while making your pet’s safety and comfort my top priority. I pay close attention to routines, instructions, and any special needs to help pets feel secure and stress-free in their familiar environment. I’m dependable, calm, and attentive, and I believe in keeping owners updated with regular communication and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

About: I have over six years of dog sitting experience working with three different families on an ongoing basis. My responsibilities have included dog walking, in-home dog sitting, and drop-in visits two to three times per day, depending on the pet’s needs and routine. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all temperaments and make it a priority to keep them safe, happy, and well-exercised while their owners are away. I also have personal experience as a dog owner, currently caring for two dogs of my own, and I previously had two others, which has given me a lifelong understanding of animal care and behavior. I genuinely love animals and treat every pet I care for like part of my own family. My schedule is consistent and structured around my school commitments. I am unavailable on Mondays and Saturdays due to classes, but I have full availability on the remaining days of the week. On those days, I am flexible and able to provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting depending on your needs. I’m committed to being reliable and punctual, and I always make sure to plan my schedule carefully so I can give each pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I am always very attentive to their individual needs and routines. I make sure each dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for by providing regular feeding, fresh water, walks, and plenty of time outside. I also focus on playtime, mental stimulation, and affection so they stay happy and relaxed while their owner is away. I follow any specific instructions closely and keep their environment clean and consistent. My goal is always to leave every dog feeling content, loved, and well taken care of.
“Kayla was very communicative with us and took good care of our two fur babies! She didn’t hesitate to staying the night with them and gave great and honest updates. Thank you Kayla!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for around three years. Sometimes even for multiple days caring for animals such as bunnies(even having one myself) 2 dogs,3 chickens, a guinea pig and 3 cats all at once. I’ve cared for multiple puppies and kittens as well as bathing them and caring for ailments. I am working a 2 part times right now but mainly during nights and late evenings so mornings or nights work amazing! But I am off a good amount of days for spontaneous need for a sitter. I care for 2 in my home right now and occasionally sitting some dogs. As of now i will not be sitting in house for safety purposes.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Briaroaks is $45

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,038 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Briaroaks. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Briaroaks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Briaroaks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Briaroaks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Briaroaks. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
