“Leslie stayed and watched our 3 pups for a week while on vacation. Cannot say enough great things! I received daily updates and pictures with all my babies looking so happy and well taken care of. Will be using Leslie for all my pet needs! 🐶”

“What a great first time experience for me and Baxter! I left home for a week and Kendall was exactly what I and Baxter needed. She kept me informed and responded quickly to my texts. I would highly recommend her and most definitely will use her again.”

“Jessica was the best dog sitter we could ever ask for. We took a trip out of town and she was extremely professional. Scheduled a meet and greet prior asking all of the necessary questions which allowed us to be comfortable as well as herself. She sent updates regularly and videos of our pup making us feel like we haven’t had to worry about a thing. It was an amazing experience and we would book her again and again.”
About: I don’t just take care of the family furry paw members. I watch over the whole house. I make sure everything is taken care of while they are away. They are my first priority and my last when I’m helping someone else out. I take care of them before leaving for work and visit them when I return from work. It also depends if I’m staying at the house or just making stops in between the days. I have a fenced yard with a patio that is separate from the grass area. I have a doggy door so they can go in and out if they know how to use one. If not they learn while I have them in my care. My fur babies love playing with other dogs. If I’m at the clients home, they get lots of love and attention. I make sure they get their playing time in multiple times a day before bed time. If it’s not to hot I do try to squeeze a walk in even if it’s a small one.

About: I have been pet sitting and housesitting for over 8 years but am just now hopping on rover! I love pets deeply and aim to make them comfortable while you are away. I have experience training hyperactive dogs, potting training, some trick training, taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages 8 weeks-14 years, indoor and outdoor cats, as well as chickens, bunnies, fish, and more! I am excited to get to know you and your pets!! I am currently gaining my teacher's certification and have very open availability this summer. I do already have some weeks filled up petsitting this summer but please message me to fit you in! I do not board pets at my home, only visit and stay at clients houses. I use reliable transportation and can stop by multiple times a day or stay with your pets overnight. I am comfortable following strict feeding schedules, giving dogs medication, and of course playing with them!! My goal is always to keep pets comfortable in a stressful time of their owners leaving. Though I am new on Rover, I have a list of references available from clients who have used me for years.
“Desree was fantastic with our 2 labs. Both pups loved her from the first meeting. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were in good hands. We will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

“This was our first time using this service, and Claudia did an excellent job taking care of both of our pets. She was responsive and arrived on time as arranged. Claudia kept us updated throughout the day and even sent us cute videos. I really felt comfortable having her with our babies. I will definitely be calling Claudia again!”

“Destini was so great! She took good care of our pups while we were out and stayed in touch with us. No doubt they were a bit trying at times but she handled it like a pro! Definitely recommend!”

About: We have been taking care of many dogs for years for our friends and family: ; all breeds and sizes. We have a fenced yard (it does have a pool so let us know if you have a swimmer). Dogs are welcome on furniture and to sleep with us. We have one small dog, Shadow. He gets along well with other dogs. Happy to do a meet and greet. We will keep you updated with photos and videos. We use rover often and wanted to pay it forward because of the wonderful card our Shadow has gotten. On the weekends we have dogs, we are home the entire time and make sure they are able to follow whatever routine they have at home. We have a fully fenced yard, a friendly wiener dog and we are able to follow all of your must haves for your pet. We want them to be as comfortable as possible.
“Lilli was super sweet, listened to all our many requests, and our pups loved her! We booked somewhat last minute because of a day trip, and she made us feel very comfortable with leaving our pups in her care. Will book again! Thank you Lilli!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and focus on providing loving, individualized care. I work with puppies on basic training and routines, and I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs, including medication, mobility needs, and special diets. I keep pets on their normal schedule and provide regular updates so you can feel confident they’re in good hands I work part time so I’m home often, which allows me to maintain regular routines, provide updates, and quickly respond to each pet’s needs. Whether it’s daily walks, multiple drop-ins, or overnight care, I build my week around giving pets reliable, loving care so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. 🐾 Because I’m home often, I can maintain consistent routines, provide regular updates, and give pets the attention they deserve. I plan my schedule around daily walks, drop-ins, and overnight care to ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable.
“Another great stay with my dog Dakota! I am stress free when Maya watches my girl because I know she’s safe and taken care of. I already have Maya booked again coming up.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep understanding of pets' individual needs and my calm, patient approach—especially with puppies and senior animals. I have hands-on experience with basic puppy training, including crate training, housebreaking, and leash manners. I also specialize in senior pet care, from administering medications to providing gentle exercise and comfort tailored to their age and health conditions. Pet parents often tell me they feel at ease knowing I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in their pet’s well-being. I treat every animal like my own—whether it’s keeping a high-energy puppy engaged with structured play or ensuring an older dog feels safe and relaxed in their routine. Additionally, I stay in close communication with owners, sending regular updates and photos, so they always feel connected. My goal is to provide not just care, but peace of mind. I am currently on my summer break so I am free for most of July and August! Once school starts I won’t be able to board many animals because I will be gone but I would still be available to walk animals or go over to a house and feed/let out your pet! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s home, my priority is always to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment tailored to each pet’s needs. In My Home: I offer a calm, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play and rest. I follow each pet’s routine closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or medication—so they feel secure and at ease. I provide plenty of mental stimulation through toys, training games, and cuddles, and I make sure they get the right amount of exercise based on their energy level and age. Pets are never left alone for long periods, and I always maintain a clean, supervised environment. In My Client’s Home: I respect the home as much as I do the pet. I maintain the pet’s usual schedule to help minimize stress while their owner is away. That includes sticking to walk times, feeding routines, administering medications, and giving them the attention and affection they’re used to. I also keep the home tidy, water plants if needed, bring in mail, and send regular updates with photos and notes to keep clients fully informed. No matter the location, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with love, patience, and consistent care.
About: Caring for animals since age four, I’m experienced with dogs of different breeds, cats of different breeds, including medication administration, attentive, dependable, compassionate care. I have open availability throughout the week and flexible daily hours, allowing plenty of time for drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight pet sitting in your home. I can follow your care instructions exactly. Feeding, walking, medication, or coming in to give some love. For safety, services are in your home only, as my dogs aren’t fully friendly with unfamiliar animals.

We couldn't be happier with Mackenzie's care for our dogs Oakley and Regan! From the very start, communication was excellent — we always knew what was happening and felt completely at ease while we were away. Mackenzie was reliable and punctual throughout, and it was clear from the moment they met our pups that they genuinely love animals. Oakley and Regan were happy and well looked after, and that really is everything. We will absolutely be booking Mackenzie again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter.

Benjamin did a wonderful job dog sitting for us on our vacation! We were gone for 13 days and he took great care of our dog Biggie the whole time. Benjamin followed directions with Biggie's food and medication and there were no issues at all. He arrived on time and was professional and respectful when he communicated with us through the whole process. Our plans changed and we ended up coming back two days early and Benjamin was right on top of things. He modified our booking and processed the changes quickly. Benjamin was respectful of our property while we were gone and nothing was out of place when we got back! 10/10 I would recommend Benjamin to anyone looking for a dog sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mansfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mansfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mansfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
