“Laurie is the best! Ralphie remembered her right away. She always sends pics and updates which I truly appreciate. I’m never worried and know Ralphie is safe when Laurie is here. We look forward to seeing her again next week!”

“Querhea did a great job taking care of our dogs! One of our dogs required a lot of eye medication and she ensured it was done exactly on time. She provided regular updates and left our house spotless.”

“Maya did an absolutely amazing job as our pet sitter. While I was away, I never felt stressed or worried for a single moment — which says everything. She truly took the time to bond with each of my pups and made sure every one of them felt safe, comfortable, and loved. My biggest concern was my oldest boy, and Maya went above and beyond to make sure he felt secure and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would trust her with my fur babies again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

“Haven is by far the best dog sitter I’ve ever had- I can’t recommend her enough. She is always so communicative and helpful while I’m gone and has even helped with a leak I had while away. She sends lots of pictures/videos and goes above and beyond with care instructions! She even leaves me food and sweet notes to come home to. Thankful for her!”

“Booked Amber based off of her 5 star reviews and repeat customers and she did not disappoint! She took great care of our two fur babies and our home. Everything was clean and in order when we returned home and our girls were happy. Will book again!”

“Taylor was really great! Not only was she able to accept us kinda last minute, but she also took good care of Lilly, and came 3 times every day to take her out to potty and play. She also was so kind to buy her food when it ran out. I was nervous to leave my baby with a stranger, but Taylor was a great choice! :)”

About: What sets me apart is that I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely caring with every pet. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable and safe. I’m comfortable caring for young pets who need extra attention, as well as senior pets who may need a slower pace, medication reminders, or additional care. I’m also responsible about following feeding schedules, routines, and special instructions from owners. I have a flexible schedule and can make time for pet care throughout the week. I’m able to plan visits around my daily responsibilities and make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, feeding, and care they need. I’m dependable with schedules and will communicate with pet owners to make sure I follow their pet’s routine. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in a clean and secure environment. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions and routines closely. I pay attention to each pet’s behavior, keep them away from unsafe situations, and make sure they have fresh water, food, and plenty of attention. I also keep owners updated so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Rex did an amazing job watching our home and pups. Our pups don't get along so it's tough for us to find someone willing to take on that responsibility. She made sure our dogs were safe and had plenty of attention. Our house was also taken care and clean. We highly recommend Rex and will be contacting her for future trips.”
“He was amazing! I didn’t have to stress about my babies one time while we were away! I have two medium sized dogs and a cat but that was a cake walk for Justin. He left our home better than he found it, had amazing communication, and was a quick replied”

“Ann was a great sitter! She took great care of Mase and sent frequent updates and photos so we could rest assured he was happy and well taken care of. And our house was spotless when we got home. Would definitely book Ann again! Thank you!! 🐾🐾”

“We were gone for 4 days, asking Renee to visit the dogs at our house 3 or 4 times a day. All the dogs were happy and healthy when we returned. We got pictures along the way, and felt confident that our dogs were in good hands!”
“Donna took care of our dog while we were out of the country for two weeks, and she's been absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond, and truly loved our puppy. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, loving, and caring sitter.”

“As always, Nita took excellent care of my boys. As an added bonus she takes great care of my home leaving it spotless. We love Nita and are grateful we found her!”

“I would not hesitate to recommend Noah to any pet sitters. He stayed at my home and watched my two birds for over a week. Was very responsive to my messages and followed care instructions. I have to deeply apologize from my original review. I had misplaced an item and thought the pet sitter might have taken it when he left. Two weeks later the item has been located and all is well. I apologize for any difficulties that my original review may have caused.”

“Meagan was amazing. She took great care of my girls and sent me updates every time she came over to take care of them. She was very attentive and caring. I highly recommend her if you need someone to watch you fur babies. Thanks Meagan.”

“This was an easy experience. Rachel communicated well, walked the dog and did everything we asked and then some. She has a fantastic personality and is a very caring person. We will definitely use Rachel again and we definitely recommend her to others that are considering Rover's service.”

About: Hopefully, I caught your eye. Your fur baby is my baby. I have 35 yrs experience with dealing arthritis, anxiety, and cancer. I able to take care of the sick fur babies. I had the joy of having a beautiful blonde German Shepard, Ava she was 120pds of muscle, she was my shadow, my bestie and I miss her everyday. There are other many more wonderful pets I have taken care of. I will always give you not 100% but, 102%! I had the opportunity to train Ava, after we both attend dog training, dog obedience school which at first did not go so well but, after we got the hang of it we did well, 4yrs later Ava became a Service Dog for the State of Texas. I have the time, the patience the perseverance to do this for you and I will not let you down. After, 10years with Ava, she got cancer and she was in so much pain I had to make the very hard decision to let her go 🥲. I am retired and available to take care of your fur babies. I love pets so much, the bring joy to my life every day. I live a beautiful property with beautiful landscaping. we can take lots of walks and enjoy the outdoors. We do not have a dog park.
“We had a wonderful experience with Katherine caring for Charlie! From the beginning, communication was excellent, and it was clear that Charlie was in caring and capable hands. We appreciated the updates, photos, and attention given to his needs while we were away. Charlie was happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which gave us great peace of mind. It’s not always easy leaving your pet with someone else, but this experience exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend Katherine to other pet parents looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring.”

Kaelyn Took such great care of my dog while I was away. I truly appreciated her reliability, attentiveness, and the genuine care she showed my dog. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such capable hands. I will gladly recommend Kaelyn to others. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

One weekend with my two girls and Laurie is our go to now! When my skittish rescue walked right up to her at our meet and greet I could tell she would be a great fit. She watched my two doodles for me in our home over the weekend, kept us updated, and sent lots of pictures. Her communication definitely eased this crazy dog mom’s nerves and seeing how much they favored her made me feel so at ease. Thank you Laurie, you are a god sent :)

We had such a wonderful experience with Kyra caring for our dog Dewey and cat Lily while staying at our home. She was incredibly communicative from start to finish, sending my partner and me detailed updates twice a day along with tons of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What really stood out was how thoughtful and attentive she was — she asked great questions, paid close attention to routines and details, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about both of our pets equally. It can sometimes feel like one pet naturally gets more attention than the other, but she made both Dewey and Lily feel so loved and cared for. We came home to happy pets and a well cared-for home, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and detail-oriented.

Zaida provided excellent care for our dogs while we were out of country on vacation for five days. We have a dog who can be fear-reactive to new people, and she took the time to do a drop-in to ensure a positive first meeting before we even booked. We truly appreciated her patience! She was very professional and communicative throughout the entire process. The daily updates and photos were great, and we felt totally at ease. We will definitely book with her again!

Angela was heaven sent. I just recently lost my pug, one week before she was due to take care of both of my babies. Her kindness to my Sheba knowing that she was sad she showed her so much love attention to the point when I got home Sheba was crying for her at door! Angela you’re apart of our pack now Sheba said so lol. She has great heart . Thank you for helping me .
Amber is a wonderful person! She loves our sweet pup as much as we do. She feels like one of the family! She stayed at our home for two weeks and we had no worries. She always leaves things as good as, or better than, when we left. And she is a wonderful communicator in words and pictures.

Reagan was so good with our boy, Ricky Bobby!! Ricky Bobby has a few quirks like most dogs do, but one of his more notable ones is that he tends to anxiety chew on himself when we’re out of the house, and sometimes breaks skin if not stopped. Reagan did a fantastic job watching out for this behavior and kept him calm and content through her time in our home. Reagan was also very communicative throughout the visit and sent multiple pictures and updates of the goings on. Overall, we could tell that Ricky Bobby was very comfortable and happy to be hanging out with his newest bestie Reagan, and we’re glad to have found another trustworthy sitter that loves our dog as much as we do!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dalworthington Gardens walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dalworthington Gardens maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dalworthington Gardens choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
