“Querhea is an absolute delight and pleasure to work with. She took care of my babies while I was in surgery and they love her. She even stayed past her scheduled time until we got home from surgery the next day. I will be booking her for all our family needs”

“Haven went above and beyond to make sure Ava got all the love and attention while we were away on a long trip. From taking her on long walks to keeping me in the loop on her schedule, I had full confidence that Ava was well taken care of.”

“Maya took good care of our puppy. Everyone knows caring for a puppy is work. One day he’ll be a dog and much less work! He was happy and tired when we returned home. He went looking for her after he got all the love and attention from us. All very good signs. Thank you!”

“Alice provided wonderful care to my dog and 2 cats. She went above and beyond from start to finish. The regular updates gave me complete peace of mind — it was clear our animals were happy, comfortable, and in great hands. She also treated my home with total respect. Everything was exactly as I left it when I returned. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibility seriously. We will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring pet sitter.”

“Kyra was awesome! She took great care of my babies while I was away. She updated daily and sent pictures. I definitely would book her again. She went above and beyond!”

“Taylor did a wonderful job with our two doodles! She checked in multiple times a day and spent plenty of time with them to get their energy out. She sent pictures and frequent updates. About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life of various sizes- from Pomeranians to mastiffs. I also have experience dispensing medications to animals. I am currently looking for a work from home job and am using this for extra income- I’m able to devote my entire time to your pet! I take careful note of instructions for each pet and treat them like my own while also understanding that I am doing a job and treating homes with respect.
“Rex did an amazing job watching our home and pups. Our pups don't get along so it's tough for us to find someone willing to take on that responsibility. She made sure our dogs were safe and had plenty of attention. Our house was also taken care and clean. We highly recommend Rex and will be contacting her for future trips.”

About: Excited to give your pup the adventure they crave! As a fellow dog lover. I’ll make every walk fun, energizing experience filled with tail wagging joy. Let’s keep your fur baby active, healthy, and happy! Book me today I’m currently going to school part time and that flexibility allows me to have more time to incorporate the things that I love to do. I love the outdoors and I enjoy long walks in areas that are pet friendly and reputable. 🌳🦮❤️ My approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and deep commitment to their well being. You can trust that your beloved pet will receive the highest standard of care, tailored to their specific needs, ensuring that they feel safe, comfortable, and loved at all times.
About: I’ve been around pets all my life! I’ve never lived in a house that did not have a dog or cat present, and it just doesn’t feel like home without one! I’m currently an owner of a 7 year old cat myself, but I’ve always been around dogs of all ages and sizes! I frequently pet sit and stay overnight for family members, as well. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30 am-4:30 pm, but I do have an hour lunch break from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, which I can use to check on your pet, take them on a short walk, play, or feed them (if needed!) I do not work on the weekends, so I am 100% available to stay overnight Friday-Saturday and make sure everything is good to go before I leave on Sunday! Before I leave and while I’m there, I always make sure there is nothing left out that an animal can get into, and I always ensure there is water and food that is easily accessible to them. A good play session is something I like to do to make sure they were given enough attention before I leave, or, for dogs, I take them on a short walk to get some of that energy out!
“My baby Coco hates leaving the house but hates being alone for sure! Mya has been very flexible and a good doggy sitter for Coco, especially since he can be very defensive. :)”

“Rachel was fantastic! She agreed to still stay with our Ava girl despite our air conditioning going out the day prior and saved us a ton of hassle trying to make other arrangements last minute. Very sweet, and Ava took to her almost instantly.”

“Love Nita! Max is always calm when we get home. Our house is like we left it. We feel very comfortable in leaving our special baby in her hands and in his own surroundings!!”
“Bridget is a kind, energetic, conscientious caretaker! Lucy has never been so relaxed when we arrived home. We booked immediately after her interview which was about a month out. Bridget requested coming back over to walk Lucy a week before our trip so Lucy would be more comfortable when we left. Bridget wanted to arrive at our home early so that she’d have some time with Lucy while we were still here. She also stayed until we arrived home to give us a report of how the stay went. While we were gone, Bridget sent us several photos of Lucy. Bridget is a true professional and a huge animal lover. Lucy is a senior dog that requires medication. Bridget didn’t hesitate. We would highly recommend her services. In fact, we are already rebooking!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10, from puppies to seniors. I also have a dog of my own and sympathize with wanting to make sure your pet is in good hands. I have helped friends, neighbors, and family with walking, feeding, playtime, and baths while they’ve been away. I’m comfortable handling pets of all sizes. My priority is making sure each pet feels loved, safe, and cared for while they’re with me! As a full-time graduate student and employee my weekdays stay pretty busy, but I love making time for pets on weekends or when I can. Caring for animals is a great way for me to spend my free time! I keep my availability open on Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays for walks and drop-in visits. Which works perfectly if you’re doing a weekend getaway or just need additional help with your pet care! I currently don’t offer boarding or daycare. However, I can do house pet sitting! :) When walking dogs, I’ll always makes sure leashes and harnesses are secure. I avoid unsafe areas and keep a close eye on surrounding especially for easily triggered dogs. During drop-in visits, I’ll follow your routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime. My goal is to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home environment.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dalworthington Gardens
This is the second time Laurie has taken care of our girls while we were out of time and we couldn’t be more pleased. Our girls remembered her and were well taken care of. Thank you Laurie, we will definitely keep her as our first choice for a sitter going forward.

This was my first experience with using Rover as well as having anyone in my home that wasn’t family that I trusted to take care of my fur baby. Maya was absolutely perfect even from the initial meet & greet I felt very comfortable with her and how Bubba interacted with her then. Even through my concerns or better yet overbearing , Maya was patient, respectful and super understanding that I was new to this. She is such a great sitter and will definitely use her every chance I can get.

Kaelyn Took such great care of my dog while I was away. I truly appreciated her reliability, attentiveness, and the genuine care she showed my dog. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such capable hands. I will gladly recommend Kaelyn to others. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

We had such a wonderful experience with Kyra caring for our dog Dewey and cat Lily while staying at our home. She was incredibly communicative from start to finish, sending my partner and me detailed updates twice a day along with tons of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What really stood out was how thoughtful and attentive she was — she asked great questions, paid close attention to routines and details, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about both of our pets equally. It can sometimes feel like one pet naturally gets more attention than the other, but she made both Dewey and Lily feel so loved and cared for. We came home to happy pets and a well cared-for home, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and detail-oriented.

Zaida provided excellent care for our dogs while we were out of country on vacation for five days. We have a dog who can be fear-reactive to new people, and she took the time to do a drop-in to ensure a positive first meeting before we even booked. We truly appreciated her patience! She was very professional and communicative throughout the entire process. The daily updates and photos were great, and we felt totally at ease. We will definitely book with her again!

Angela was heaven sent. I just recently lost my pug, one week before she was due to take care of both of my babies. Her kindness to my Sheba knowing that she was sad she showed her so much love attention to the point when I got home Sheba was crying for her at door! Angela you’re apart of our pack now Sheba said so lol. She has great heart . Thank you for helping me .
Amber is a wonderful person! She loves our sweet pup as much as we do. She feels like one of the family! She stayed at our home for two weeks and we had no worries. She always leaves things as good as, or better than, when we left. And she is a wonderful communicator in words and pictures.

Reagan was so good with our boy, Ricky Bobby!! Ricky Bobby has a few quirks like most dogs do, but one of his more notable ones is that he tends to anxiety chew on himself when we’re out of the house, and sometimes breaks skin if not stopped. Reagan did a fantastic job watching out for this behavior and kept him calm and content through her time in our home. Reagan was also very communicative throughout the visit and sent multiple pictures and updates of the goings on. Overall, we could tell that Ricky Bobby was very comfortable and happy to be hanging out with his newest bestie Reagan, and we’re glad to have found another trustworthy sitter that loves our dog as much as we do!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dalworthington Gardens walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dalworthington Gardens maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dalworthington Gardens choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
