“India took great care of my dog and his particular needs. He had recently had a medical issue and she accommodated all of his issues. She is kind, communicative, patient, and very open to adapting to routines. I felt very at ease leaving Bosco in her care.”

“As always, Selena and her family is the one I trust for the care of my sweet Zoey. Thank you for everything Selena and family. Happy holidays and I wish the 2026 brings you tons of smiles and adventures! Thank you again 🙏”

“Janet was so lovely! This was my first time using Rover as an owner instead of a sitter, and I knew my dog was in good hands based on Janet’s great communication - she was able to help us out in a pinch and pick our girl up from somewhere else while we were gone. From one sitter to another, I highly recommend Janet and am so thankful for her help!”

“I had a good experience in boarding my 2 Rottweilers ages 9 and 11 months to Luis. My female pup is on her development age where she acts skittish and growls when approach by people she does not know. Because of this behavior and having a big pup, I requested a meet and greet to see if Luis can handle my dog. On the meet up, as expected my female pup acted nervous and growled to Luis but Luis was so patient and gentle to took away her fear and slowly earned her trust. During my dogs 3 night stay, Luis took care of my pups like as his own pet. My pups really had vacation of their own, enjoying to Luis’ beautiful dog resort while my family are out of town. Luis has perfect place for dogs where they can have fun for a lifetime.”

“More than perfect our dogs were safe and happy while we were in Puerto Rico on vacations. She was very accommodating and responsable all the time will contact her again .”

“Anthony did a great job with Fendi. She can be a handful and we were a bit worried, but he had no problem with her and said that she was a great guest. She seemed to really enjoy her time with Anthony and his family. We will definitely use him again and would highly recommend him to others.”

“Perfect! If you're looking to have great care for your pet look no further. Our dog had a wonderful stay with them. They have 2 dogs of their own that he played with and kept him company. He also loved the attention from Aldrin and Teresa. They are a sweet friendly couple. Someone was always home to watch them and they took him on plenty of walks. That really helps when our dog is in a new place with new faces. We also appreciate their organization and communication skills. They confirmed the appointment the day before, asked good questions about our dog and provided just the right amount of pics/updates. The attention to detail is very much appreciated. We will definitely use them in the future and I know our dog will be looking forward to it.”

“LaToya was great! She clearly loves to take care of animals and is a super sitter! She went above and beyond for our dog, taking him to the dog park multiple times and on frequent walks. She's very communicative and will do whatever it takes to make sure your pet is taken care of!”

“Jessica was quick and clear with all communication. She sent pictures and kept us informed while we were away from our pup. We would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Naomi and her husband were absolutely amazing!! They treated Cleo with so much love and care and kept my mind at ease while I was away with frequent updates. Will definitely be using them again!”

“Spencyr was great with our pup Lola. She had some medical things come up last minute before the board and he was willing to help us out with all her medications and additional care. He communicated throughout the stay with photos and videos. She got along so well with his dogs they were best buds which helped us calm our nerves since she was so happy. Highly recommend the board with Spencyr.”

“Abigail did such a wonderful job of taking care of my dog Ginger and provided us with lots of updates so we could see what she was up to while we were away. I am very picky about who I leave my fur baby with and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Athena was absolutely amazing with our dog, She clearly has a true love for animals and treated our pup like her own. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such caring and capable hands. She went above and beyond, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog. We would highly recommend Athena to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Hill
Robert and Salina took in Darius(2M, Kelpie) for 2 weeks. They provided updates every other day with pictures, and were always quick to respond. They had plenty of other dogs for Darius to socialize with. They’re also quite well equipped in case of any emergencies. i would recommend them.

We loved Mercy and her family. My dog is a recent addition to my family and we were apprehensive about leaving on a 3 day trip without her. Mercy invited us for a meet and greet beforehand and we felt our dog would be in good hands with them. We received many pictures and updates everyday along with perfect communication from Mercy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
