About: I have grown up in a house that always had animals in it, especially dogs and cats. I have a few clients that I have been watching houses for— for years, I believe in making connections with your clients pets so there is no worry or stress between the pet parent and pet! I have lots of open free time as I am a freelance artist that works from home! So, in other words, I have my availability mostly open just need to have time to schedule I would be more comfortable in house sitting than boarding animals but for my own pets they are always inside, free roaming, only going outside when the dogs need to go potty!
“Ashley was a lifesaver! My pet sitter fell through 3 days before my trip and luckily Ashley was very quick to respond and set up a time to meet me and my cats! My cats loved her and she sent me so many pictures while I was away and missing my babies. Even my timid cat was very quick to warm up to her!”

“Hannah was so great! This was our first time working with her since both our last rover sitter and we moved and we had no worries at all going out of town and leaving our kitties in her care. She really put our minds at ease with her checkin notes and pictures and with a FaceTime call before we left to go over everything they needed while we were gone. Will absolutely call on Hannah again for help next time we’re out of town!”

“Aimee to our family is family! She’s a joy to have around, and gives you the peace of mind that is needed when you aren’t available to care for your own pets! Caring, responsible, gets the “big- picture” and does what is needed at all times!”

“Andrea has been so great! Our Phoebe has been so happy having a new friend to hang out with her for a little bit during the week. Super sweet dog sitter and we can’t thank her enough!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets my whole life, starting with two dogs and a cat who taught me the value of love, patience, and understanding. Now, as a college student with my own dog and cat, I’ve deepened my experience even further. My approach to pet care focuses on building trust and offering personalized attention. I make sure every pet feels comfortable and happy by tailoring my care to their unique personalities and needs, so they always feel at home, even when you’re away. This is something I’m wanting to pick up and do as often as I can! I would love to make it a full time gig! In my home and for my clients, I make sure pets are safe, feel totally at ease, and have a great environment. I keep the space pet-proofed by removing anything that could be harmful and follow all safety rules. Building trust is super important to me, so I spend time getting to know each pet and their needs, offering lots of care and attention to make them feel comfortable. I also keep everything clean and cozy, with comfy spots to rest, fun toys, and routines that cater to their preferences, so they feel right at home.

About: First time booking on Rover? Get $20 off! Hi! I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with three Golden Retrievers, and they truly felt like part of the family. My most recent one recently passed after an illness, so opening my home to care for other dogs feels really special to me. I have experience caring for pets of friends and family, and I genuinely enjoy giving them attention, comfort, and a safe place to stay. My children also love having dogs around and are gentle and respectful, which helps create a warm, welcoming environment. We do have a Burmese cat in the home, but she has her own space and knows where to go if she prefers not to interact with dogs. Our home includes a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play, plus a kiddie pool for those hot days. Whether your dog loves to play or just relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Your dog will be treated like family here—with love, patience, and attention. I work part-time from home, so I’m able to give plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My children are homeschooled and home most of the time, creating a calm, family-centered environment. We do leave occasionally for errands, church, or family events, but your dog will still have a consistent, loving, and supervised home most of the day. I also provide overnight boarding, so your dog will be safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play, and a calm, family environment with my two children who enjoy giving gentle attention and companionship. If a dog needs a little quiet time or separation, I do have an office space available. For dogs that require crating, I ask that you please provide your own crate so they can feel familiar and secure.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
