About: Ive owned and cared for high energy breeds for years, so I understand what it takes to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. Ive also cared for small dogs who need to be carried or babied more then others. My natural love for animals makes it easy to care for and protect your pets. I work a few 5 hour shifts per week so most of my time is spent doing other stay at home jobs or hobbies while my husband is at work. I have a lot of wisdom in taking care of animals with love, care, and diligence. I have a fenced in backyard that is completely safe. I also live on a plot of land that is away from any traffic. My home is also pet friendly!
“Nick and Ashley were great taking care of our dog. I think he loved having a dog about his size to play with. They sent pictures so we knew he was safe and happy. We would definitely love to leave him with them again. We 100% recommend leaving your dog here.”

“Michele was the perfect sitter for Micky! She sent lots of pictures and updates. Played with him a lot outside and gave him so much love! Will definitely be rebooking😁”

“Ericka and Robert were amazing with Charlie! I have never had someone watch him before and was a little worried about how he would do, but Ericka and Robert were so kind throughout the whole process and sent me updates along the way ! They were kind enough to work with me when troubles arose and I had to extend his stay! 100% would book with them again!!”

“We contacted Megan 2 days before our week long trip and she gladly accepted to meet and greet the same day and then took care of Pepper. Megan was very clear in what we need to bring when we drop our pet”

“Susan was just amazing. Wonderful experience! Our dog stayed for 5 nights and was clearly loved and well cared for. We received photos, updates, and knew walks were happening regularly. Will absolutely book again!”

“We are always anxious about leaving our 2 spoiled pups, but had no concerns while they were staying with Spencyr. We got daily updates of them playing in the yard or just getting love and attention. We will definitely be bringing them back in the future!”

“Pam was wonderful and took great care of Barkley for us. She sent us updates and pictures each day. She took Barkley for walks and to the dog park with her dog Speedy. The two dogs became BFFs and we even received videos of them playing together. We are so grateful to have found a sitter we can trust for our furbaby and peace of mind knowing she was treated as a family member in Pam's care.”

“They were absolutely incredible and took amazing care of Daisy!!! Amazing updates and pictures all throughout the stay. I can’t wait till Daisy gets to go back they are so nice and great to work with!! So trustworthy and animal lovers.”
“Ann was great! Ann sent pictures and videos 2-3 times a day, so there was no worry if my fur baby was okay. Queenie loves to play and explore and Queenie got to do all of that and some! I am looking forward to having Queenie stay again when I travel because it’s nice to be at peace when you are away. I plan on setting up another booking in August. When it was time to pick up queenie, everything was packed and ready to go. Thank you for being so sweet to my fur baby!!”

“Excellent family to leave your dog. They not only took excellent care for Luna but they loved her all the time she was there. Luna was born deaf and at times can be a very nervous dog. Not only she relaxed the same day there but became friends with the other dogs in the house. I highly recommend Darren!”

“Roger loved his time with Alexis! This was his first boarding experience with non-family and she was so understanding. We got lots of cute photos and updates, made our time away not so stressful!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
