“This was my first time using this app and Emily could not have been more patient and kind. Was so loving with my dog and communicated really well. Absolutely will hire her again.”

“Dana was awesome to use! Super friendly and reliable. She took the time to send us pictures of her visit and included a nice recap of her visit as well. Would definitely recommend and will use again!”

“This is my first time to use a Pet Care Service. I have 2 cats, one friendly and social cat rescued through an agency, while the other I rescued literally from the wild. Anyway she is still very weary of strangers. However she would show herself to Jennifer. The other loved all of the attention Jennifer could give as he didn’t have to compete for attention. Jennifer took such good care. I could tell she talked to them, lots of petting which she showed me pictures of. She tried to use toys to play with them. She would do little special things that I told her they liked. She was prompt in each of her “Report Cards” corresponding with her scheduled time to visit and care for them, with pots of picket I appreciated. I felt she really cared for my kitties and I was reassured with each report card they were being “loved on”. I highly recommend Jennifer O. to care for your pets. I felt safe letting her into our home.”

“Deb is THE most WONDERFUL pet sitter EVER!!! Her care, attention to detail, follow up, professionalism, and the love she has for her furry clients are just a few examples of her superior work ethic. We have had Deb do two drop-by’s so far, and we couldn’t be more impressed. It put our minds at ease knowing she was there taking care of and giving the best of care to our pups. They are special needs, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of! Being able to keep the pups in the comfort of our home is much less stressful on them and us also. We are thrilled to have come across Rover, and to find such a wonderful sitter that is accommodating and close by. I would highly recommend Deb as she is reliable, honest, caring, dependable, and has gone beyond the call of duty with our dogs, Brodie Bear and Roxie. Our pups adore her and we do too!! She is a blessing!”

“Heather was “spot on!” Could not have asked for a better experience, and my dogs were happy when I returned home and that meant more to me than anything!! I hope she will pet sit for us again… I can now leave town with confidence that all will be well when I return! :)”

We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Kaesea has been an absolute treasure when my husband and I needed someone to watch our pup! I was looking for last minute people and got a few who couldn't make all the days. But when I reached out to Kaesea, she responded almost immediately and said she'd be available for all the days I was asked for! She was respectful of our home, our rules for our pup, and super sweet in general! Will definitely reach out to her again for the future.”

Chandler was amazing, especially with our cat Teddy-who usually hides from everyone-but actually came out to greet her! That alone says everything. She sent us multiple photos and super detailed cards after each visit. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you Chandler!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
