“I had a fantastic experience with Gladys. I had to make a last minute modification on the last day as my flight back home got canceled. I had to ask her to take care of my dog for one more day, and she accommodated my request without any issues. Further, my dog usually can’t get along with strangers very well. However, my dog seemed very comfortable with Gladys in the photos she took for me while she had her. I highly recommend her service and will definitely look for her service again!”

“Katie and her family took great care of Flash while we were away. Right before our trip Flash developed some minor skin issues and Katie managed it well. Photos and messages from Katie gave us confidence Flash was settling in and enjoying his stay.”

“Jin and Weiliang were amazing sitters for our Piper. They kept us updated frequently with lots of videos and pictures. Would definitely use them again!”

“Jessica and Nathaniel were awesome! Winston had a great time and we can tell he really missed having a playmate when we got him back. We appreciate the timely updates from Jessica and their flexibility with our ever-changing schedules. We highly recommend them as rovers and would consider rebooking in the future.”

“Angel did an amazing job watching our dog Natsu! She sent pictures and gave regular updates on how he was doing. She responded quickly when I sent messages to her. Natsu was happy and content during his stay. We could not be more happy with the care she provided him while we were gone. We will definitely look for her the next time we are going out of town for Natsu.”

“Our pups enjoyed their stay with Melissa and her family. She kept us updated and was quick to respond if we had any questions. We will be using Melissa again and would not hesitate to recommend.”

“Our Cami looked like she had a great time with Brian, Jennifer and family! They sent photos and videos with updates. We would highly recommend and will leave Cami with them again in the future!”

“Love these two! They are great and made Riley feel at home. I’ll definitely contact them again. This was a great experience and my first time leaving Riley with a sitter.”

About: I've had pets since I was a child and I've always loved them like they were my children. Now I watch my children love our pets! We enjoy having pets in our home to cuddle with, play with and spoil! I am a school teacher with summers off. I am home with my two children from the end of May to the beginning of August. When pets are in our home they are shown loads of attention and love. They have regular potty breaks and have a big fenced in yard to play in.
“Kelli is one of the nicest people I've ever left my littles with! She communicated regularly with me, paid attention to their moods/needs, and I believe she did everything in her power to make them as comfortable as possible. I really appreciated the extra care and hope to book again ❤️”

“Thank you so much! Buddy loves staying with your family! We are able to enjoy our time away in full confidence that he is safe and having a great time! We call your place "Buddy's resort vaca"!!!!!”

“Gayle took very good care of our Pip. She followed my instructions, and even trained him to use the doggy door and took him to the dog park, for his first time. He loved it. She was a lifesaver for us, and we went on our cruise knowing Pip was in good hands. Definitely visit her if you have a small dog.”

“Diana took great care of my Dog Wooly and was very understanding when my car broke down out of town and I couldn’t come to get Wooly as scheduled. She updated me daily on my dog’s condition and activities and gave him his meds as I instructed. Wooly will definitely love to stay with Diana again 🐾”

“Five stars. We highly recommend them. You can tell they definitely love dogs which gave us a lot of comfort and trust in them with Odin. We are so grateful that they helped us out with minimal notice when we had to leave town quickly. You know they’re the right sitter for your pet when your pet runs up to their door and whines for a day after we pick him up.”

“It was obvious that Ashley loves dogs and she loved my 2 bandits. She got to know them and their traits rather quickly. I can recommend Ashley to give the best of care and attention to anyone's pet.”

“Gizmo had a great time with Kathleen and her dog Rosie ! It was a rainy weekend , but she made sure he felt safe and secure and had a great time as well !”

“Simba had a great time with Janae! I had to take a very last minute trip and lucked out. She was very communicative throughout the three days sending updates and pictures. Would definitely board with Janae and her son in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Argyle
We had a wonderful experience with Chandra Sowjanya while boarding our puppy, Leo. Before making a booking, we requested a meet-and-greet, and she was very prompt in responding and arranging it for us. Her professionalism and communication immediately gave us confidence. Once we decided to move forward, Leo stayed with her for two days. Throughout his stay, Chandra consistently shared updates, photos, and videos without us even having to ask. It was very reassuring to see how Leo was doing and know that he was being well cared for. She was also excellent with communication, reaching out whenever she had any questions and keeping us informed at all times. Her responsiveness, attention to detail, and genuine care for Leo made the entire experience stress-free. We highly recommend Chandra Sowjanya to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter. We would happily book with her again in the future!

It was the perfect situation for me since there were no other dogs, Mindy only took 1 client at a time so my 2 girls got all the attention. I loved that Mindy sent comments & pics every day and from the pictures I could tell my dogs were relaxed and having fun. Big thank you to Mindy, definitely would use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
