About: I grew up on a farm helping with animals often. I've always owned dogs and cats. I was a vet tech for 3 years. I have a dog door (it can be secured) and automatic waterer for your pet's convenience. I installed a metal gate to keep my runners from escaping out the front door. I am trained to give shots for the elderly family members. The days I work outside the house, I can meet you at 6:15 pm or later. I feed the dogs twice daily, but biscuits often. I am a homebody and I'm usually home all weekend. Your fur babies will be well loved. I have a 6-foot privacy fence, gate for the front door, dog door and an automatic water feeder. They are like family and can explore all they want. Please let me know in advance if a pet likes to lift his leg inside the house. I can provide doggy diapers.
“We took our Mini Aussie Fur Baby, to Jin and Weiliang's home to make sure she was adaptable to the home environment and afterwards, we decided that the house has a good fit for our our Fur Baby. While we were away for 3 day, we receive video and picture updates as morning check in updates. Our mini Aussie (Sugar) appeared to be very happy, we will definately use Jin and Weiliang every time we need their services.”

“Teddy had a great time staying with Bertha. He got tons of love and attention. Bertha sent us pics and videos frequently. We were stress free on our trip knowing Teddy was in good hands. Thank you Bertha!!”
“I highly recommend this dog sitter! She was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, and it was clear she truly cares about the dogs in her care. The property is fantastic for dogs - there's plenty of room for them to run around and play outside, which was perfect Rocky. I was especially impressed that she had a nice kiddie pool set up for him to cool off in, which he absolutely loved. When I picked Rocky up, he seemed so happy and content from his stay. It's such a relief to find someone who provides such wonderful care. I will definitely be using her services again!”

“Our pups enjoyed their stay with Melissa and her family. She kept us updated and was quick to respond if we had any questions. We will be using Melissa again and would not hesitate to recommend.”

“Gayle was the best dog sitter ever! She sent me photos and videos of my dog at the dog park and following Gayle around her house over my week long trip. This really helped put my heart at ease, especially since it was my first time boarding my senior best friend. I would absolutely recommend Gayle for watching your dog while you’re away!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
