“Luda did an amazing job! She sent us pictures every day of our dog, which was perfect since we missed her. Our dog felt like she was at home the whole time. I would highly recommend Luda to anyone! Amazing! ?”

“Katie was amazing! This was my first time boarding my rescue, so I was very nervous. My dog is also a naturally very anxious dog, and her family and dog made him feel right at home! She sent updates everyday and it truly made me feel a lot more secure being away from my pup. He immediately came home and curled up to go to sleep, so mission accomplished! I will definitely be messaging Katie again next time I head out of town.”

“Nancy and her family have been an absolute blessing for us. She’s the only person we fully trust with our furry babies, and she has consistently done an outstanding job. Every morning, she sends us photos, which gives us so much peace of mind. From the very first time we left our pets with her, I knew she would be our go-to pet sitter from then on.”

“My Josh was such a Happy Boy during his stay with Ms Mary Anne and Ms Kelley! He was excited and playful when I picked him up. Thank you so much, we’ll be back.”

“Angie is super sweet! Her and her family were very accommodating to my schedule as far as drop off and pick up times for my Nino. She kept me updated with pictures and video of his experience. Angie's daughter provide extra cuddles for him and let him sleep at her bedside which he loves! As a first time user of Rover, the experience was great. As far as I'm concerned, unless Angie is unavailable, she is my Nino's sitter!”

“They were absolutely amazing constantly kept me up-to-date with lots of pictures. They were super good with him letting him get used to them taking their time. He had such a great time. Definitely will always come back to them.”

“Jackie and Lambert were amazing! Their updates and photos were abundant and they were always so responsive and flexible. Planning a wedding was very involved and stressful but knowing our baby was being taken care of was one thing we didn’t have to worry about. Thank you both so much!”

“Jaclyn was great. Even though the booking was on short notice she was very happy to take care of Zoey. Jaclyn did an amazing job taking care her and sent lots of updates and photos to let me know Zoey was just as well cared for with her as she is at home”
“John was great to deal with. Easy communication, drop-off and pick-up were uneventful outside of Ziva being a bit over-excoted, and the picture/video updates they sent were wonderful to see. We'll definitely use them again if our primary sitter isn't available.”

“Keri was extremely accommodating and professional during scheduling and throughout our fur baby’s stay. You can tell she knows her K9s and really loves them all. We had a rough start introducing our pup to hers, but Keri ensured our pup was comfortable and even noticed her needing extra privacy at times. She also gave us daily updates, pics and videos of her which put us at great ease!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of hands-on pet care experience. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with animal shelters, rescues, and pet conventions, giving me experience caring for pets of all ages, personalities, and needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, a little shy, or just loves a good cuddle, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I treat every dog and cat as if they were my own, paying close attention to their routines, preferences, and well-being. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your best friend, and I’m committed to providing reliable communication, plenty of updates, and compassionate care every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long periods. I have two large dogs and a very spoiled (and admittedly stinky!) kitty of my own, so caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. We also make a trip to the dog park every day for an hour or two, so walks, playtime, and exercise are already built into my schedule. While I live in a townhome without a traditional backyard, I do have a fully fenced garage with AstroTurf that provides a safe, secure space for dogs to play, stretch their legs, and get some fresh air between walks. Every pet is different, so I tailor their care to what they’re comfortable with. I will never take your dog to the dog park without your permission. If you’d prefer they stay home, have private walks, or follow a specific exercise routine, I’m happy to accommodate. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and as close to their normal routine as possible while they’re in my care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medications or special instructions so I can keep their stay as familiar and stress-free as possible. Because I work from home, pets are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. My home is a calm, pet-friendly environment where dogs can relax just like they would at home. I also have a secure, fenced garage with AstroTurf that provides a safe space for supervised play between walks. I understand that every dog has different needs, so I adjust my care to match their personality and your preferences. Whether your dog loves to play, prefers quiet naps, or needs a slower pace, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Dog park visits are only offered with your permission. I’m just as happy to provide private walks and one-on-one playtime instead. I’ll also keep you updated throughout your pet’s stay with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. My goal is for every pet to feel like they’re staying with family, not just a sitter.

“Bertha was wonderful! She was so easy to work with and booking was a breeze. It was our first time leaving our puppy but she knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable with leaving him. We received pictures and updates every day, it was so nice to see him be so happy even though he wasn’t with us!”

“Diana took great care of my Dog Wooly and was very understanding when my car broke down out of town and I couldn’t come to get Wooly as scheduled. She updated me daily on my dog’s condition and activities and gave him his meds as I instructed. Wooly will definitely love to stay with Diana again 🐾”

“Great folks! This was my first time ever using Rover and these guys helped me in a super last second pinch and I actually just used them for a second time. Beautiful house and a nice yard! Book with confidence.”

“Corian did amazing with my cat. She was very attentive and caring. She made sure my baby was comfortable and sent pictures and information to make sure I was comfortable too. If I ever need a sitter again, I’m definitely coming back to Corian.”

“Jennifer and Brian took good care of Chippy. Chipoy was so happy with them that he was sad to leave them. I would send Chippy to them for his future stay.”

“Patchi had a great time staying at April's and made a new friend, Penelope! April and her husband are very professional and take great pride in what they do. I also loved the fact that they have passion for dogs and I felt safe leaving Patchi there for all four days. The atmosphere of the house was perfect for a pet to stay in and the yard was secured. During the short stay April sent me pics at least a few times a day, she really is so sweet. This was a longer driver away from home for me but was definitely worth it! Thank you from me and Patchi.”

“Yvonne was wonderful! She sent us pictures everyday and gave us regular updates of how he was doing while we were gone. And I appreciate her administering his medicine everyday. Will definitely book her again.”

“Angel did an amazing job watching our dog Natsu! She sent pictures and gave regular updates on how he was doing. She responded quickly when I sent messages to her. Natsu was happy and content during his stay. We could not be more happy with the care she provided him while we were gone. We will definitely look for her the next time we are going out of town for Natsu.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
