“Sandra has been wonderful to our two pups. Very reliable and flexible. I am completely confident that our girls are well cared for while I am at work and my wife is out of town. Sandra even jumped in on short notice one weekend when a house sitting arrangement fell through. She provides great walk updates and constant communication. I highly recommend her and will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Claudia did a great job watching my two whippets while I was out of town. Very reliable and kept me updated and informed on how they were doing. Lots of pictures which I loved. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: Dogs are a big part of our lives! I've been caring for other families' dogs for the past 3 years and have spent my entire life around dogs, both my own and within my family. My fiancé and I are home full-time, which allows us to provide plenty of attention and flexibility to match your pet's routine and needs. We have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who may need extra patience and care. Providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every dog in our care is our top priority. Your pup will receive plenty of affection, playtime, walks, treats (with your approval), and cuddles while staying with us. Our friendly dogs, Koda and Kaia, love meeting new friends and will help your pet feel right at home. We treat every dog as if they were part of our family and ensure their stay is fun, stress-free, and full of love. I am currently in a hybrid nursing school program, and my fiancé works from home, so we are both home full-time. We are able to let the dogs out, play with them, and walk them at any time. We live in a home with a fenced backyard and an open floor plan. There are many places for your dog to explore and play with our dogs :)
“Kimberly is an outstanding doggy sitter. She took time from her very busy day to come and visit my precious Hana prior a couple of days prior to our scheduled service. On the appointment days she arrived on time to take Hana out for a walk around the neighborhood and then for some fun in the dog park. She constantly communicated with me on what my dog was doing and how she was behaving. She also sent several pictures of Hana. Hana is my first ever pet, so I always worry if I am doing something wrong. Kimberly not only put my mind at ease while she was walking Hana, but she also answered my questions and gave me tips about being a first-time dog owner. She really enjoys being with pets, and it shows when you talk to her. I am now her repeat customer and will stay that way as long as she has openings for Hana.”

About: In addition to growing up with pets always in my home, I have several years of experience in volunteering at animal shelters, as well as a year of experience working in a vet clinic. I’m very passionate about animals and I can’t wait to meet yours! I’m home from University for the summer, so I’ll have largely open availability to care for your pets until late August, when I return to school. I’ll ensure your pet’s safety both in your home and on a walk. In your home, I’ll be happy to hang out with your fur baby for a little bit in addition to assuring they get food and water. When I head out, I’ll be sure to secure the doors to your house to make sure your pet doesn’t wander off. On walks, I’ll avoid other dogs unless you’ve specifically stated it’s okay to allow other dogs to greet your fur baby. I’ll also be sure to stay on paved, well-lit paths that I know are safe.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
