About: I currently have 2 dogs, a cane corso and french bulldog. I’ve spent my whole life watching over friends/families cats and dogs, ranging from different sizes and breeds. Where I live has a backyard for some outdoor play time and cool air conditioning inside. I love animals and am excited to be doing this to make money on the side because it brings me so much joy!! I am currently in school but am home for most days of the week, so my schedule is super flexible. I will always be around to make sure your pet has the attention they need along with frequent potty breaks and walks! I strive to create the perfect stress free environment for your dogs happiness! Whether this involves treats or frequent cuddles and play time. I do my best to communicate with my clients as well as strictly following instructions.
“Our experience with Wendy was above & beyond everything I expected. We’ve never utilized dog walking services thru Rover before- just overnight boarding. Wendy is exponentially better than neighborhood kids we’ve had in the past. She took detailed notes during our meet & greet to ensure every detail was covered. She was on time every single day. Hot, sunny, humid weather? Nothing phases her. Our pup got to explore more of our neighborhood than she ever did with us. Wendy was simply amazing - one of our best experiences with Rover and we will absolutely be using her again. Our husky fell in love with her too!”

“Claudia did a great job watching my two whippets while I was out of town. Very reliable and kept me updated and informed on how they were doing. Lots of pictures which I loved. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Sandra has been wonderful to our two pups. Very reliable and flexible. I am completely confident that our girls are well cared for while I am at work and my wife is out of town. Sandra even jumped in on short notice one weekend when a house sitting arrangement fell through. She provides great walk updates and constant communication. I highly recommend her and will definitely rebook in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a little kid: starting at about 10 years old I pet set for my neighbors. I have watched, fed, and walked dogs of varying sizes and ages and have also fed and managed some cats. In my college town I have helped the Humane Society on occasion by taking a dog at a time to walk them and let them roam around and enjoy time outside the kennel. I am an animal lover and know how important it is for them to be cared for and loved! I’m currently working part time only 2 days a week as I am home for the summer so will have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets! I have a fenced in yard and a small dog who is super friendly and well loved. He is a grazer so doesn’t have designated food times but my previous dogs were fed twice a day. He gets morning walks every morning and sometimes extra ones in the evening.
About: My family has always been a rescue dog family! Every dog I have ever owned has been a foster fail or a shelter rescue. Some of our pups have had traumatic pasts, and I love watching the light come back to their eyes as they realize why a loving home feels like! I think dogs truly are our bestfriends and they deserve to be treated like it. I am currently in the last phases of flight training, so I spend weekdays studying or flying but have plenty of time to walk dogs around it! Sometimes I go to the airport super early and get out early and sometimes it’s more of an evening shift for me. Right now I typically have weekends off so I’m very flexible there! I can do whatever you need me to do with the pups! I’ve taken care of big, small, young, old, hyper, lethargic, potty trained and otherwise. I have walking equipment, reputable walking routes, a big truck if they like car rides, treats and anything else necessary to make a dog happy!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for both small and large dogs in my daily life. At home, I have a young, energetic little boy who loves exploring every corner of the neighborhood — and I’m always happy to match his energy on long, engaging walks. I also care for a senior Australian Shepherd who requires extra attention, including structured feeding, vitamins, and gentle, attentive care. In addition to my own dogs, I’ve spent a lot of time walking and caring for friends’ pets, so I’m confident handling different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I prioritize safety, consistency, and making every dog feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I’m mainly available for walks in the mornings until about 2 PM. That said, I’m flexible and happy to accommodate other times when possible — feel free to reach out and we can find what works best for you and your pup! I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort in every pet I care for. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, and any special care like vitamins or medications. During walks, I stay attentive and keep dogs secure at all times. In your home, I respect your space and your pet’s familiar environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Roanoke
I cannot say enough good about this sweet, wonderful gal. Hannah is such a blessing - the first day we had a meet & greet, she came in sat her purse down and immediately got on to the floor to get my Boxer's ball out from under the TV stand. Melt my heart!! Her love for animals is absolutely amazing, her attention to detail is unquestionable, and I would not trade her for the world. She plays with them, loves on them, and talks through their personalities and behaviors, listens with intention, and asks the right questions. She's just amazing!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
