Pet care experience
Animal-loving, homeschooling mom
I know how difficult and confusing it can be for pets when their owner is away, and I am ready to help! As a serious dog and cat lover, I will make sure your fur-babies and best friends are happy and healthy, and cared for just as you would care for them. I have 20 years of varied experience with both dogs and cats. I have always had pets in the home, since I was young. I raised my own adopted babies from weeks old to very senior, and still going. I have volunteered at the Austin Animal Shelter in the past, and was trained by an affiliate foster care program to foster all dogs, including puppies, senior dogs, and those with behavior challenges. I am a homeschooling mom with lots of flexibility and am comfortable administering medications as needed. I have cared for dozens (maybe hundreds) of dogs and cats in these 20 years, from puppies and kittens to very senior dogs and cats, and I look forward to caring for yours!

Safety, trust & environment
I will ensure your pet is cared for exactly the way you request. We will use the entire time to play, sit together, exercise, eat, take potty breaks, or whatever it is they need. We will follow the family rules regarding where your pet is allowed (on the furniture?). I know letting someone in your home is taking a risk, and I take that very seriously. My goal is to make sure everything is left as I find it - doors locked, alarms set, animals secure if needed, spaces clean. If you are away for many days, I am also happy to check mail, water plants, and of course clean any pet messes.
Ratings and reviews
Thanks for another awesome stay. I always know Tally is in great care and appreciate Katie’s flexibility.

Katie is the best. I can’t imagine what dog owners do without someot like Katie in their lives. She sent photos on Easter morning of Tally cuddling with her daughter. I don’t feel guilty leaving Tally behind at all.

Katherine is great. My dog loves her and her children.

Katherine did an outstanding job with Zoe. It was the first time that we left Zoe with someone she did not know and the second time that we left her altogether since we've had her. Katherine sent us daily pictures of Zoe and we could tell that Zoe was having a great time. She even slept on Katherine's bed. When we picked her up yesterday, she looked very good an very at ease in Katherine's house. It was a very positive experience for Zoe who tended to be a bit skittish with other dogs and was very comfortable with Katherine's dogs. I am so glad I found Katherine. I will be able to leave Zoe and have peace of mind.
Katherine is a great sitter. I think my dog likes her kids more than me.

Katherine and her kids are great with my dog. I've used her three times now and had great experiences.
