I am well aware that every pet has different personalities and needs. Of course there are the basics for every pet: make sure they have enough water, food, a place to use the bathroom, and the ability to relax and let out their energy. I can definitely provide them play time as I am young and energetic myself. But I also consider myself attentive to the needs of animals. Usually when I meet someone’s pet for the first time I try to figure out what they want and what I can do in order to make them happy, even if it’s just for a brief second. I read a book a few years ago by Alexandra Horowitz which is all about what is going on inside a dog’s head, and it really helped shape my understanding of them. I know cats are different, and in my experience they tend to be more low maintenance (though not all of them), but generally it’s usually about patience and letting them feel independent. I feel like my understanding of a dogs (and cats) needs is in tune, and if not, then I always try to figure it out and help provide it. The same goes for fishes and birds, even with my smaller amount of experience.
Information Aubrey Y. would like to know about your pet
If they have any special treatment, anything out of the ordinary, of course I’d want to know. It's also good to know if the dog is really big, so I can prepare myself before walking them. Same goes for if the dog is a little less social, just so I know what to avoid when taking them out on walks. If they're scared of anything I'd like to know ahead of time as well.
A typical day
I love going on walks with dogs, especially if they like running, I find it fun keeping up. Maybe not in this summer heat but I manage. I love playing tug of war, and fetch, and I love relaxing with them at home. I live nearby a large field with big walking trails that I tend to take my dog to a lot, and he loves stopping to smell things and smile at people. I also live nearby a dog park where I let my dog get his zoomies out and socialize. Although, he’s much older now, so our walks and outings are more chill than they used to be.

Pet care experience
I’ve had a dog since I was 8 years old, and for the past 10 years I’ve learned a lot about taking care of him. Feeding him everyday, bathing him, learning what he likes and dislikes, and just giving him lots of love! My mom is an avid cat owner with at least 7 cats, and I have two of my own. I’ve gotten very patient at dealing with animals, which is one of my best qualities, as well as the fact that I am the biggest dog lover, I treat every single one like they’re angels! Because they honestly are!

The best! Was super sweet to our cat and took extra care of not just our cat but our home as well. Would rebook again and can not recommend enough

Thank you so much Aubrey. I wanted to ask if you had any issues and if you would be comfortable walking or drop in visits in the future?

Aubrey is wonderful! She is extremely punctual, a great communicator, very sweet, and so great with my very anxious puppy. She’s very knowledgeable about quality care for pets and always leaves great post visit summaries which gives me great peace of mind while I’m away at work. Definitely book Aubrey!!! ❤️

Aubrey was the first person we ever used with Rover - she basically helped us raise our little guy from 3 months to 5 months old doing drop in visits. She was always on time, thorough, and above all — our Golden absolutely adored her!
