“Britney is great with handling the needs of our older dog as well as our 7 year old "puppy". She's always letting us know how they're doing at each visit with messages and pics! Our dogs couldn't be happier when we're away!”
“This is the first time I've booked a dig sitting service. And I can say that I am lucky and glad it was Tori. Happy with her job. She followed instructions properly and was very punctual.”

“Nicole was great with our 2 cats. One of our cats is older and has a complicated food system. She was very attentive and followed exactly what we needed her to. We loved getting the updates from her while we were away—very detailed and thorough.”

“Brooke was amazing with our 4 dogs (including an almost 3 month old puppy!). She had no problem staying for extended drop in visits due to the new puppy. She played with all of the dogs, spent time outside and brought them in when it was getting too hot. I will absolutely be booking Brooke again soon!”

“Angelique was wonderful. This was our first time using Rover and we were so impressed. She was great sending us pictures and updates while we were gone and giving our fur baby lots of play time and potty breaks while we were away. We will use her again for sure.”

“I highly recommend Ms. Jaclyn! She bonded quickly with Lula and upon my return home, Lula's usual anxiety wasn’t present. Ms. Jaclyn was kind enough to bring in a package I forgot was coming in. Ms. Jaclyn is now on my speed dial when I have to go on my trips! James S.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Britney responded quickly to messages, was punctual with visits, and, most importantly my pets seemed to love her. Will use again.”

“Sarah was very attentive and helpful! She also dropped in last minute when our other sitter had a family emergency. Thank you so much Sarah for taking care of our little kitty!”

“Blake was awesome taking care of Finn while we were away! She was punctual for all scheduled visits and very responsive to any requests or messages. Blake gave very detailed updates with lots of pics of our pup. She did a great job engaging with Finn, taking him for a walk for every visit, playing with him, petting him, etc. Blake was very sweet and generally took great care of our dog for the entirety of our vacation. I would highly recommend and will gladly rebook with her in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and love getting to know every pup’s unique personality! I’m experienced in basic training and provide loving, attentive care. I’m deaf and use American Sign Language to communicate, but I can speak a little too—your pets will always be in patient, understanding hands 💛 My schedule for summer is super flexible and I will be able to have plenty of time to give your fur babies the best experience of their life 😆 I love hanging out and giving the cuddles! Starting Aug 4th, I will be working from 7:30am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays since school is back in session now! Meanwhile I will be free during school breaks such as spring break, fall break, Thanksgiving break/Christmas break. I am happy to housesit your place which means I can come and stay at your place to take care of your fur kiddos! Just need to be aware that I will have to step out sometimes to take care of my own fur kiddos and sometimes will have shifts to work. I always make sure to take care of the animals first before I head out.

About: I am recently retired and have sold my house. I house/pet sit full time locally and internationally. I have owned and fostered both dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. Since I have no pets of my own anymore, I enjoy loving on the pets I sit with. Before I retired, I hired house sitters to stay with my 125 lb. mastiff/GSD. I understand how important it is to feel confident that my pet and home would be taken care of responsibly. This allows you to relax and enjoy your time away. Since I'm retired, I have time and patience to spend with seniors and puppies. I can be there to ensure everyone's routines are maintained. Cats are always fun to sit for. I know how stressful change can be for cats. I'm happy to allow for them to hide as long as they need to or offer pets until they chose to do something else. Since pets are my full-time occupation, my schedule can be flexible to ensure your pets' needs are taken care of. I will spoil them as much as you allow me to, but will always respect your guidelines. Since I will care for you pet(s) in your home, I will follow the safety guidelines you provide. I have had both friendly and reactive dogs, so will follow your guidance on how best to ensure safety on walks.
“Samantha will be the only one I trust to watch my gunner moving forward. I genuinely felt she loved my boy just as much as I did and gunner must of felt it because he loved her immediately. This was my first time using anything outside of boarding and as long as she is available this will be my first option moving forward.”

“Thank you, Melanie! Melanie is reliable, trustworthy and a great dog sitter. I love seeing the photos she takes because my dogs have big huge grins on their faces. I know they’re genuinely happy to see her and trust her like we do. This gives us so much peace of mind when we can’t be home. We are so grateful for her services.”

About: We’ve had dogs and cats in our house my entire life. I’ve also stayed at friends houses for a week at a time to care for their animals. I mainly have taken care of dogs and cats but I’ve also cared for a bearded dragon and two sugar gliders which live in the same home. I work part- time and my girlfriend is a full-time rover sitter. She cares for so many different dogs and I’ve loved being with them and helping her out whenever she needs an extra hand. We have a fenced yard and we own a friendly pug to keep your dog company. We can also easily crate your pup if needed.

Angelique is amazing! She had been caring for my dogs for years and every visit she loves on him like her own. Thor gets spoiled and loved and always gets excited when his best friend comes over. If you are looking for the best person ever to care for your animal , look no further! Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for her!

Amelia was amazing with my two cats, Milo and Bella. She took great care of them by feeding them, cleaning the litter box, and spending time playing with them, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. One of my cats is very shy and I left specific instructions for how to handle that, and Amelia followed everything perfectly. It was clear she was attentive, patient, and truly cared about my pets. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
