“Britney was great! Booked last second and she was very accommodating for the meet and greet and took great care of our pups while we were away! We enjoyed the short narratives and photos she sent during each visit and we will absolutely be booking again!”

“Brooke was amazing with our 4 dogs (including an almost 3 month old puppy!). She had no problem staying for extended drop in visits due to the new puppy. She played with all of the dogs, spent time outside and brought them in when it was getting too hot. I will absolutely be booking Brooke again soon!”

“He is the best my dog doesn't like anyone but the family which made us nervous at first. After one day with Gideon he was so happy no anxiety. We are always happy with his service.”

“Sydney was outstanding! This was my first time using Rover & I was honestly a bit worried overall. She clearly communicated, sent daily updates for my dog, & my fur baby was a happy camper along the way. I unexpectedly came back later, & needed Sydney to feed my dog at the last minute. She was able to come through for me with little notice. Very happy & will be booking her again for sure”

“Jaclyn was AMAZING! I have a very sensitive pup and she really took to Jaclyn. They bonded and she kept me updated on how Daisy was doin while we were out. The sense of ease and happiness I felt was unmatched. Will ALWAYS USE JACLYN!”

“Sarah was very professional and I could see she is the best fit for my very excitable dog right away! She calmed him down like an expert and the visits were seamless and on time for my entire trip. Will definitely book again. Thank you Sarah!”

“I have never used Rover, as we are new to our town and dont have anyone we know close to us. But we needed to go out of town. And I was recommended this app. Blake showed up when I first looked and no matter what I just kept going back to her page. I am so glad I did. I can't be more thankful for the peace of mind she gave me. My fur kitty is about 2 weeks shy of being 20 years old. With an 8/9 spoiled sister. She loved them like their own. Lady couldn't wag her tail hard enough when Blake stopped by. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this a very positive experience. If I could rate higher than a 5 I would. 🐈Jager and 🐕Lady will miss her!!!”

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. In my home we’ve never had less than 2 dogs at any given time. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 first starting with my neighbors and then family friends. In recent years I’ve trained my dog Izadora since she was a puppy. I love playing with dogs big or small rough or calm I love dogs. As a student my availability is often more open on weekends but quite flexible during the week. I have classes during the morning but have multiple gaps within the day. During the summer and during winter breaks my availability is almost entirely open. In my home our dogs are very integrated into our lives, we allow dogs on the couch and beds but we have clear drawn boundaries. They know not to jump or beg for food but will always come to the sound of a crinkle just in case. They respect us and our personal space as well and when they are either too rough or too loving we redirect their energy to a toy or another dog.

About: I’ve grown up with and around animals all my life, I am super active and love being outside, so walks are my favorite! Have experience with both cats and dogs. Looking to help out during my off season from soccer, don’t hesitate to reach out and we can make something work! :) I’m currently in my off season of playing professional soccer, so therefore I am just training at the moment. This means I have a lot of free time through the day and flexibility to work! My dog recently passed, but I would care for her by taking her on a walk during the evening when it wasn’t too hot. Would allow her outside to our fenced yard where she loved to sunbathe and play with her and her favorite toys when she felt up to it! I also love to give her cuddles and kisses cause she was so affectionate. We get to love pets for only a short time of our lives but they love of us for all of theirs, making the privilege of caring for them an honor.
“Samantha will be the only one I trust to watch my gunner moving forward. I genuinely felt she loved my boy just as much as I did and gunner must of felt it because he loved her immediately. This was my first time using anything outside of boarding and as long as she is available this will be my first option moving forward.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and love getting to know every pup’s unique personality! I’m experienced in basic training and provide loving, attentive care. I’m deaf and use American Sign Language to communicate, but I can speak a little too—your pets will always be in patient, understanding hands 💛 My schedule for summer is super flexible and I will be able to have plenty of time to give your fur babies the best experience of their life 😆 I love hanging out and giving the cuddles! Starting Aug 4th, I will be working from 7:30am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays since school is back in session now! Meanwhile I will be free during school breaks such as spring break, fall break, Thanksgiving break/Christmas break. I am happy to housesit your place which means I can come and stay at your place to take care of your fur kiddos! Just need to be aware that I will have to step out sometimes to take care of my own fur kiddos and sometimes will have shifts to work. I always make sure to take care of the animals first before I head out.

About: I've taken care of multiple types of dogs from an early age. I also used to have a dog named Gary (my brother named him from SpongeBob) when I was younger, but my mom couldn't afford him anymore. During school breaks, pet care fits very easily into my routine because I have a much more open and flexible schedule. I’m able to prioritize regular feedings, walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day without time constraints from classes. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, maintain their routines, and be fully present while caring for them. I think that it's important to spend quality time with pets, whether that's going on a walk or spending time at the park. And also just following the pet owner's instructions as well as understanding their routine.
About: I have been taking care of dogs and my own pet for a little over seven years now. I am most experienced with senior dogs, as most of my friends and family have older dogs with plenty of extra needs. I have fostered puppies for a few years now, and I am very well-versed in potty-training puppies as well! I currently have a full time job, Monday through Friday 8-5pm, some Saturdays 8-12pm and off on Sundays. I will be available to care for your pets in their own environment and safe place so they can feel comfortably in their own space and keep their same routine. I have a large, fenced backyard free of any harmful plants for my dog. Plenty of toys, a neighborhood perfect for walking, practicing leash training, and ample space for my pet to relax and play! I adhere to a schedule, whether it’s for my own or for my client, and I am very strict about it unless there is room for extra time depending on the dog’s mood/behavior. Very energetic, so your dog will receive proper exercise, attention, and so much love in my presence!

Samantha will be the only one I trust to watch my gunner moving forward. I genuinely felt she loved my boy just as much as I did and gunner must of felt it because he loved her immediately. This was my first time using anything outside of boarding and as long as she is available this will be my first option moving forward.

Amelia was amazing with my two cats, Milo and Bella. She took great care of them by feeding them, cleaning the litter box, and spending time playing with them, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. One of my cats is very shy and I left specific instructions for how to handle that, and Amelia followed everything perfectly. It was clear she was attentive, patient, and truly cared about my pets. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

Vanessa did a great job taking care of our cats Bova and Cosmo. Food and litter box were well maintained through out our vacation. She took some time to comb them too. One of my cats is very sceptical and actually warmed up to her after several days and started making appearance. Would highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
