Happy Campers 24/7 CarePlano, TX

If the thought of leaving your best friend in a kennel while you vacation is enough to make you cancel your plans, welcome! You're our kind of people! We strive to make our home the next best thing to being home for your dog.

We offer all the comforts our own dogs enjoy - full house privileges, plump furniture and beds, and most importantly, lots of love and attention. A stay at Happy Campers is a social event. They will run, play, hang-out, sleep with other dogs all day and night! Your dog will get to enjoy all their primal instincts of hanging with the pack!

Dogs need physical exercise to assure their health and happiness. Physical activity and socialization help to create balanced dogs by taking away excess energy, boredom, frustration, and unwanted behavior. At Happy Campers your pet can run, play, explore, & relax with full run of the secured house yard and pool.

All of a dog's needs are met and they couldn’t be happier and content! All doggies will enjoy a cage-free environment, unless otherwise requested by pet parents. Dogs have all day fully supervised access to the back yard and swimming pool. They are free to come and go inside and out anytime to play, relax and more, taking full advantage of their Doggie Vacation time. Everyone here is 'spoiled' and we think that's the way it should be.

Don’t worry, your dog will be closely monitored to assure the activity level is comfortable and joyous! Your dog will go home tired and you’ll get to enjoy your relaxed dog with all the day’s pent up energy released! Drop your dog off before work, going on a shopping or day trip, or just for the fun of it!

If you have a “high energy” dog then without question, this is for you! These dogs especially need to be drained of all that excess energy, otherwise it may lead to unwanted behavior like chewing, destruction, and constant barking. Let us get rid of that pent-up energy for you!

If you have a “puppy”, then great! Socialization is especially important for your pup! It is very important that puppies learn proper dog play/manners and the best teacher is other dogs. Adult dogs give subtle lessons that most of us never even know are happening, but your pup is learning. Dogs are amazing!

If you have a “slower” dog, that’s great too! Slower or older dogs do great at Happy Campers too, they can take their time and explore without being bothered by other dogs!

Last minute bookings are welcome and always accommodated. Leave your Pets for a few hours or few weeks in full confidence and without worry. Pick up and drop off times are 100% flexible. I want you to leave your loved one in my care knowing that you can look forward to seeing their smiling faces upon your return. Forget the worry and stress of strict and expensive pick up times. We only allow a very small group of doggies so yours will always have lots of 1 on 1 time with us and all the playtime / lazy time they want.

This is my full-time passion and happy to say my full-time job as well.

I have a great split level open floor plan home with lots of dog pillows and space to run around crazy or enjoy a lazy day. I've been fostering and rescuing dogs for many years, allowing me to gain a great deal of experience with all types of dog personalities and those with special needs. For those that like to get out and stretch their legs or need to spend some excess energy there is great park/walking path less than a block from our house. Our neighborhood in Plano is very quiet and 90% of the neighbors are dog owners and lovers. They are top notch pet parents with well behaved and always leashed dogs. Our neighborhood is 50/50 retirees and young families. We have made the entire house extremely dog friendly with couches, pillows and beds to lounge on. Lot's of windows to let in the sun and let your dog enjoy the view. There is also plenty of rooms if your pups like to get away and chill out for a while.

My ultimate goal is to provide outstanding care for your pet(s) by keeping their routines while staying here just as in your own home. Keep your mind at ease, enjoy your vacation or be worry free at work knowing that they are being taking care of like they were part of our family. They will have free run of the house but we always enforce YOUR rules that you have trained them at home, i.e. no getting on couches, etc. We will even help continue any training that you are currently working on including potty training. We don't use crates unless you request them for your dogs needs, either for sleep or crate / potty training.

We are trained and able to administer any medications sub, inter and oral. Provide extra care with dietary needs and any other quirks. We strive to treat your pet family the same way you treat them at your home routine, sleep eating schedule, training, and exercise. We use a detailed checklist that we keep on file that includes emergency contacts, vet info, etc. We've had almost every breed of dog in our home and all are welcome! All guests are closely supervised and separated at feeding time in a friendly and non-pressured environment to help avoid food aggression and food thieves. Each dog gets a bin or bag to them where we store their toys, leashes, food and any other personal belongings, each item is labeled with the family name as well.

As you can see in the pictures, the dogs really enjoy the back yard and lower level living area in front of the fireplace on the floor, couch or pillows. They really get to enjoy themselves playing and of course the all-important naps anytime they like here. It's a true vacation for them. All dogs are always welcome to swim or stand in the pool to cool off. I always give them a good rinse and the best towel dry/doggie massage

You will receive regular updates and photos of their adventures during their stay via the Rover app/website.

All dogs must be current on their vaccines, please include a copy at drop off. Please be sure that all special instructions, vet info, emergency contacts, etc are up to date on your Rover online profile.

Our property is treated every 21 days with an all-natural, pet and human safe compound that kills all biting bugs including fleas, ticks and mosquitos and creates a barrier around the perimeter to help minimize any chances of bug bites. It is still recommended that your doggie be on some type of flea, tick and mosquito treatment.

Your dog would love my backyard!Plano, TX

We have been pet sitting on rover for almost four years, and we love every minute!! Abby, our beagle, has grown up with all her other buddies that we sit for. We like to treat them like it's a puppy vacation for them too! They are allowed on the furniture and have fun running in the backyard! My mom and I are a team, she stays home full time with the pups, and if she's not there I am, or my stepdad Ronnie. We separate all of the dogs for their meals, which is at 6 am and 6 pm. They also get treats during the day if they’re allowed! We’ve taken care of all different breeds and ages, from puppies to senior dogs! We love our Rover dogs!!

- potty breaks: as often as needed.

- swimming: the swimming pool is available for water lovers;

*Dogs are always supervised in the backyard and in the swimming pool.

*We walk our pups every day if the weather permits. I use my walking harnesses and collars to keep our pack walks safe and under control.

- mental stimulation:

interactive toys, puzzles, basic commands;

*We always adjust activities according to a dog's needs.

Please, bring extra food for your dog in cases of delays or changes and extended stays.

TREATS

No treats. To avoid upset stomach we do not give our dogs anything except their own food.

NOTICE

I do not take a puppy before his/her full cycle of vaccinations.

All dogs must be vaccinated (according to their age); on fleas and ticks medication, de-wormed.

GOOD TO KNOW

please, tell me about your pup during our meet-and-greet session:

- did you use daycare or boarding before;

- temperament, energy level;

- level of socialization;

- behavior problems;

- phobias, anxieties or unusual habits;

- food/toy guarding;

- reaction to the other dogs (in the house and outside), people, children;

- favorite toy, activity;

- health or injury problems (such as skin allergies, a heart condition, diabetes);

*Our house is a perfect place for playful, well-socialized dogs. Please, do not ask to take care of your puppy if he/she feels unhappy and stressed around other people and dogs. Stress can cause diarrhea and/or vomiting because your puppy is not used to have fun and feels terribly scared in the noisy surroundings and all-day activities are not for him. Please, consider a quiet place with no dogs or kids for your babies.

I appreciate your understanding. Thank you.

WHAT TO BRING (Checklist)

- collar with id tag;

- copy of vaccinations record;

- emergency pet buddy number;

- veterinarian contacts;

- food, feeding schedule;

Be respectful to other dogs, clients, my own dog and puppies I am responsible for during their stay!

RULES

____________________________________________________________________

Please take note of the following:

- If your dog constantly humps, bites, guards toys/food, is aggressive, has never been around other dogs, marks in the house, feels uncomfortable during a stay with other people, etc. - our home is not a perfect fit.

- I require that you text me before you arrive. Please do not knock on the door or ring the doorbell. This creates over-excitement with the dogs, which we do not support.

- I ask that if you are late (without advance notice), to find another arrangement for your dog. We have a daily routine that we follow and late (or early) arrivals conflicts with this schedule.

- During meet and greets, dogs in my care are placed in a separate room for additional safety. Please, do not ask to see them, as this creates over-excitement, which again, we do not support.

- While in my care, you will receive periodic updates throughout the day on your beloved dog. Please note that I follow a schedule, so updates will be sent during moments of free time.

- I do not take any dogs that are six months and older and not spayed, neutered and/or up to date on vaccinations! No exceptions!

- Please provide a sufficient amount of food for the length of your dog's stay. I do not provide food and treats. If additional food is needed during extended boarding stays, reimbursement is required.

- Please advise of any pre-existing and/or medical issues prior to your dog's stay. If a vet is required during your dog's stay, and the issue is pre-existing, reimbursement of any and all vet charges is required.

Your place or mine, I love 'em all!Plano, TX

Update! Hello everyone! My husband and I are moving into our first home in Plano May 22nd. Which means I unfortunately will no longer be able to serve the Dallas area in walks and drop ins.

I will miss our Dallas clients very much!! I am still available for house sitting, and would love to still see your pups for boarding.

- - -

Hi there! I'm Nikki and I am the owner of Ozzie the Aussie - a 7 y/o high energy Miniature Australian Shepherd and Domino, a 1 y/o month equally energetic Toy Aussie. I've had dogs all my life and have trained each one of my furry family members.

I have years experience pet sitting - ranging between a 10 pound Yorkie - 150 pound French Mastiff. Puppies to elderly dogs and cats I've done it. Even hedgehogs!

I enjoy walking and playing with all types of dogs. If you need someone to run you dog, I'm your girl. I Need a little extra love? That's me!!

Walking is included if I'm hosting or sitting. I offer intermittent dog walking services sans stay, if needed. I am unable to offer longterm walking, as my work schedule does not permit. But I can schedule one-offs ahead of time!

Now the not so fun stuff:

- I request to have fully potty-trained doggies, no potty pads.

- If you have to pick up your pup late, no problem. But I do charge a $10 fee for pickups after 7pm. I'm a grandma and go to bed by 930 :)

Looking forward to meeting you and your furbaby :)

Your dog will be our family here!Frisco, TX

My family and I are dog lovers! We love all things dogs--playfulness, cuddly, & more! I am home full-time and would love to have your pup here to play or come by to provide your dog exercise during the day. I began dog sitting over 20 years ago and always have room for furry friends. We recently said our heartbreaking goodbyes to our sweet Mulligan, our 15 1/2 year old Wheaten Terrier. We were so blessed to have so many wonderful years with him! I am especially sensitive to the needs and care of senior dogs. As a former teacher, communicating to you about your pet will be a top priority! Your fur babies will get lots of love and attention from our entire family! Let us be your pets second family!

Dog Lover - PlanoImperial Park, Plano, TX

I am known by the (animal) company I keep! I have two dogs that I walk daily, and I am a big believer in "the more the merrier". I have taught environmental science at Plano I.S.D.'s Outdoor Learning Center for 20+ years, and was certified in Animal Handling at the Dallas Zoo, during my tenure there, as well. In 2008 I became a certified Master Naturalist, through the Texas AgriLife/Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and in 2016, I became a certified Master Birder. I have often cared for neighbor's pets in their own homes or mine. I have previously worked for a pet service, caring for animals in their own home.

Hi, my name is Mary, I am from Venezuela and I am here because my husband's job. I have a 4 and 10 years old daughters, all of us are passionate about dogs. I know how stressful it could be leave them, for that reason I offer a variety of services that will make you and your pet feel like they are part of my family. From dog walking to private dog boarding, medicine administration and everything your dog need, my goal is simple, to keep you feeling worry free and your pet happy when you are away. Because I am a home stay mom with a small baby, I have enought free time to play and enjoy them as mine. In fact, this job is a unique opportunity to enjoy a cold and wet nose company. I have had any kind of dogs all my life (any size, conditions and needs)and I have a lot of experience care them. Adittionaly I am biologist and I have best knowledge about animals and I just took the Veterinary Assisting course at Collin Community College. I can afford any needs you and your pet may have. I am volunteering for Straydog and the SPCA of Texas where I am constantly taking animal handling classes and professional animal care training. Right now, I work on Animal Handler/Animal Care Center and Clinic program (Assist with basic shelter and clinic tasks), Pet Enrichment Team (PET) Trainer (Provide specific training for behavioral issues with shelter animals) and I already did the Adoption Counselor course to Assist potential adopters in making the best possible match. I just moving to my own house, it is conveniently located close to 121 highway and Alma in McKinney and has a nice fenced backyard and plenty indoor space, all my home is pet friendly.......Additionally, we have a lot of green spaces outside. In my routines long and frequently ( 3 or 4 times a day) walk and play times are included and I really like run with active dogs, but I could be a couch potato when is necessary jajajaja.....depend of my guest like.

Here are some details you might like to know about what I offer. If your questions are not answered below please feel free to email me and I will get back with you:

1. To board at my home $38 a night (pick up by 2:00 pm. Any size, breed and age over 1 year).

2. I will charge additional $ 5 for puppies under 1 year (this applies for boarding). Understand puppies need a lot of attention, care and focus every single minute and I'll probably be getting up in the middle of the night several times so puppy can go potty

3. I will charge $ 68 for two dogs And 15 for every additional one (same family)

4. To ensure the highest quality, I accept dogs within the same family at a time. Once you book with me, there will be no other DogVacay dog in home (unless you are agree and happy with that).

5. I have Doggy Daycare services. That includes focused, all day attention to your dog, with minimal time spent alone (I sometimes need to run to the grocery store etc. other than that I am home all day).

$20 half day (1-6 hours)

$30 full day (6-12 hours)

$3 extra charge for puppies under 1 year

6. I charge $5 for every 60 minutes that pass your pick up time (this applies to boarding and daycare service)

7. If you request you dog stays an unexpected extra night, I will charge an extra $15 to your regular fee.

This is because it will change any other scheduling plans that I would normally make.

8. I charge $5 for every 5 miles I need to drive (This applies to driving to your house to walk your dog, picking-dropping off your dog at vet or groomers, boarding, etc)

Requirements for your dog to be in my daycare/boarding

*Your dog needs to be good with people, specially kids.

* You need to fill out and/or update (if it is not your first time boarding with me) the contact card and information form before the Vacay. I try very hard to keep your pet on the exact same schedule that he/she is accustomed to and I will do my best to work with you and give your dog exactly what he or she needs!

*Your dog needs to be fully potty trained (except puppies, I can work with that. Additional fee applies).

*I'd ask that your dog either be crate trained or well-behaved and non-destructive when left alone. I do have one exception to this rule, and that is if I'm going to be boarding a puppy (additional fee applies).

*Your dog needs to be updated on his or her vaccinations.

*Your dog needs to be free of worms and fleas.

*You will need to provide your own collar and leash, enought food, food and water bowls, treats, toys, bed or crate and dog waste bags.

Just let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do
