“This was my first-time using Rover to find someone to watch my Yorkie, Maxcee. I was a little hesitant at first because the last, and only, time we boarded her in a traditional kennel over a weekend was not a good experience due to her getting nervous around so many animals/larger dogs, some were aggressive at times. Since we had a longer vacation already scheduled, we decided to try and find an in-home dog sitter with experience that offered a smaller, more intimate setting for our fur baby. We looked on Rover and I came across Lisa and David's profile. They had very good "verified" reviews which was important to me but what also stuck out to me was that they only kept 2 dogs at a time which was very important as well. We decided to setup a meet and greet, and it went very well. Lisa and David were warm and inviting to us and our fur babies (my son also boarded his Morkie, Lola, at the same time so they could be together since he also needed a sitter for our trip, and it worked out perfect). The meet and greet with Maxcee and Lola went very well. During their stay Lisa was very attentive and caring to Maxcee (and Lola) and gave them both the time and attention they needed to feel comfortable and at ease. My baby girl can be a picky eater so there were a few times where Lisa reached out to me to let me know what was going on and how she was doing. We eventually figured it out and she was able to get her to eat some (thank you, Lisa, for your patience with Maxcee and for even feeding her at times to make sure she ate something). Lisa provided outside time in the sun which Max loves and she had plenty of play time with Lola which she also loves! She also provided lots of pictures each day, which I loved, showing what Maxcee was up to, and it put my mind at ease seeing how well she was adjusting while I was gone. I would definitely recommend Lisa and David for your dog sitting needs, especially if you have a dog like mine that does not do well in those large kennel environments. I will, definitely, use Lisa and David again should the need arise and hopefully I will have found something she really enjoys eating so she'll be less picky :)”
“Whitley was great with my Yorkiepoo. We had an initial meet-and-greet at my request because I know my fur baby has issues with high energy big dogs; she doesn’t want to be squished! Her dogs were so laid back and Whitley is so sweet and compassionate. My little fur baby had no trouble relaxing and snuggling up on the couch. She sent pictures and updates while we were gone. My fur baby was well taken care of and I’d definitely use Whitley again.”

Brooke accepted my last minute SOS for dog sitting our crabby little chihuahua Sophie. As it turns out, she was on her best behavior, but no doubt that was from Brooke making her feel loved and right at home. I would love to have Sophie stay there again. It means so much to find someone you trust and know has your pet's best interests at heart!
Keyuana and her husband looked after my dogs while I was away on a short trip. They asked if they could schedule a meet and greet to meet both of my dogs. Loved the fact that they care about how comfortable a dog feels before having them. My dogs loved Keyuana and her husband, although I’m sure they missed mom 😅, I know for a fact that they were well taken care of. This was my first time leaving my dogs with a sitter so Keyuana made sure I felt at ease and sent updates and pictures as often as possible. Both of my dogs are reactive so she made sure she understood their triggers and how to work with them if needed. I will definitely be reaching back out to her in the future if needing a dog sitter again.
We used Jay & Caitlin again recently for a last minute family emergency, and they were amazing. They responded quickly and were incredibly accommodating on short notice, which took a huge weight off our shoulders during a stressful time. We had an excellent experience with Tyra while she cared for our dog, Kona, for a two-week stay. Kona was incredibly well taken care of and clearly had a blast with Tyra and her family—it truly felt like a home away from home. She was also very flexible and attentive in adjusting to Kona’s schedule and needs, which we truly appreciated.
