“So happy we found Rover and hired Samantha!!! She was very punctual and gave him the tlc he deserves. We truly enjoyed receiving the pictures every evening. Samantha gave him extra care during the thunderstorm as she could see he was nervous. Definitely will hire her again! We have a little dog and trust that she would give her the same attention she gave Sandy!!! Thank you so much Samantha and Rover!!!?❤️?”

“Tracey is so accommodating and great with the pups! She is very punctual and detailed while caring greatly for her furry clients. Definitely would recommend and will keep booking her in the future!”

“This is our second time having Sarah sit for us. The pups have a doggy door, so she is really there to feed and water. However, both times she has found ways to add something extra to her visits with our boys. We really appreciate her!”

“Ashley is amazing! Booked her to check-in on our four cats and we received so many pictures and great updates. Loved to photoshoots! I could also tell our shy cat warmed up to her immediately. Will book Ashley for pet care again!”

“Kellie was so great with Milo! She came to meet him ahead of time and get a clear understanding of his needs. She was very reliable, communicated effectively, and shared such cute pictures!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have cared for both dogs and cats since I was little. Growing up with pets has taught me how to understand their different personalities, routines, and needs. I treat every pet like they’re my own, whether that means going for walks, playing, feeding, cleaning up after them, or simply giving them love and attention. I’m dependable, patient, and happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. I currently work on weekends, so I’m most available Monday through Friday. My schedule allows me to provide drop-in visits, walks, and quality time with your pets during the week. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines your pet has. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with respect, make sure everything is secure before I leave, and send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I have a cat that I absolutely love! I treat all animals with kindness and respect and take great care of them. Growing up I had a dog for 16 years. Working as a teacher, I treat other people’s kids and pets with kindness and respect, and I can also verify a background check. I am a mom of two children, and also a fur baby! Being a teacher I have summers off so I mostly available in the summer. I am also available to help working professionals during weekday evenings and weekends. I have a yard enclosed with a fence so I’m happy to take care of your pet in my home. I have a home in Wylie Texas with a fenced yard for your pet! I am also able to come to your home and take care of your fur babies. I can keep water and food clean and take care of your pets. Bathroom needs.
“Bianca is the best pet sitter! Our babies were treated like royalty. She is experienced and professional in everything she does. She went far and beyond to care for our pets and kept us updated with pictures and videos along the way. Hope to work with her again in the future!”

About: I have previous experience at a pet boarding facility and I’ve had pets since I was a child. I understand how important consistency, patience, and affection are for pets, and I treat every animal like family. I’m currently taking summer college classes, so my schedule is very flexible to meet the needs of your pets, morning, afternoon, or evening, whatever works best! I will care for your pets in your home depending on what your rules are, and I will make sure to respect your environment, while also caring for your furry friend!

“Timothy was great with Ozzy. Ozzy was a little nervous at first, but Timothy was patient and calm and let Ozzy get used to him. He seemed very comfortable and experienced. 10/10 - will book with Timothy again!”

About: I grew up with dogs. Not just in my household, but in my cousins’ and grandparents’. I learned from a young age how to take care of dogs. These past 4 years especially, I have started pet sitting for friends and family alike. I can walk, bathe, and play with dogs. I also know how to administer medication, if needed. I am a big lover of animals. Any animal under my care is automatically going to be treated with the utmost care. I am currently on summer break from my college classes. The only time I would not be able to pet sit or walk would be Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30. I have a fenced in backyard. I do have a pool, but I will never leave your pet unattended in the backyard. I have a cat, but she can easily go into the main bedroom comfortably.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a little tot. From cats to dogs, I do it all. When leaving your pet with me I will make sure to take top tier care of your baby. As I know how nerve racking it can be to leave them when you’re away. I will send updates daily to give you a peace of mind that they are in good spirits. Look forward to meeting your fur baby. <3 My day to day schedule is very flexible so I will have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). Whether you need someone full or part time. When caring for pets in your home I love written instructions, but can easily adapt if there are none. If wet outside I will let them out to go to the bathroom then dry their fur before letting them enter the home.

I am experienced with cats with kidney disease and can provide subcutaneous fluid. I work from home- so boarding situations I'll usually be around for feeding and for socializing with cats. I am available after 4:30 for drop in visits. I am very trust worthy and understand that every animal has their own needs and level of attention. Samantha did amazing with my kitties and on such short notice too. Even our one kitty who doesn't really like strangers took to her. She did great and will definitely book her again and have already recommended her to a couple other fur parents. Thanks Samantha.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lavon. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
