Courtney is amazing. I could not have asked for more from someone. She cared for my companion with much love and always did her best to do her best. She is willing to do more than just walk your companion; she gives them love and attention. She treats them very well. I never had an issue with her attendance either; she was extremely reliable! If you are in need of someone to care for your companion; consider Courtney, you will not be disappointed.

About: I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets for over seven years, including Jonah (Golden Retriever), Jessie (Golden Pyrenees), and Mittens (tuxedo cat). My background includes hands-on experience caring for family animals and taking in rescues reflecting a lifelong dedication to animal care. My current schedule allows for consistent availability throughout the entire week, with mornings/afternoons before 4pm preferred. My availability after 4pm varies daily, so feel free to message to prior to booking! My home is a pet-friendly (and pet filled) environment with a large fenced yard for outdoor play, though most of our time with Mittens is spent indoors surrounded by toys and cozy spots to relax. I have three resident pets — Jonah, a Golden Retriever, Jessie, a Golden Pyrenees, and Mittens, a tuxedo cat — all of whom love playtime and are great company.

About: an animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I’m comfortable giving medication and have hands-on experience with senior and rehabilitating animals. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats of my own, so I know how to keep pets happy, safe, and loved Since I work in a school district, I’m available during weekends, holidays, and school breaks—the perfect time to give your pets extra attention and care. I can stop by in the evenings as well. I am very aware all animals have different personalities and I will accommodate to them depending on their needs, behaviors , and overall goals. Cant wait to meet them!

About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.

About: Hi! 🥰 My name is Rachael! I am a very energetic, patient, and creative person who lives to love and be around animals. Dogs are my favorite animal! I have cared for animals for 13 years. I’ve grown up around many other animals as well and cared for them. Such as cats, fish, and some reptiles. I do offer to bathe your babies if needed. With me, your children will receive appropriate care. Personally, I'm an organizer, planner, and multitasker, and always just a phone call away, face time is also available so minimum supervision is required. With all my skills and experience, I'm able to provide a supervised, safe, fun, and stable environment for your sweet babies!! I look forward to hearing from your families soon! 🐶🥰 I’m currently enrolled at James Madison High School. I do have a lot of free time right now until I reach my money savings goal to continue school. I’m not providing care for animals in my home right away but will provide care in my home as soon as possible for both cats & dogs.

About: I genuinely care about the pets I look after. I don’t just “watch” animals — I build a bond with them. Every pet has their own personality, routines, and little quirks, and I take the time to get to know them so they feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you’re away. I have experience caring for playful puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior dogs who need a little extra tenderness, slower walks, or help with medications. I’m especially good with pets that are shy, anxious, or adjusting to new environments — I move at their pace and make sure they feel comfortable and loved. I’m very detail-oriented with feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, and special instructions, and I always keep pet parents in the loop with updates and photos. You’ll never have to wonder how your pet is doing — you’ll know they’re being cared for with love and attention. Your pet will be treated like part of my family, not just another booking. 🐾 Pet care fits beautifully into my daily routine because I’m a stay-at-home wife and attend school online, which gives me plenty of flexibility and free time. I’m home most of the day, so the pets I care for get constant attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love — not just quick check-ins. I’m able to build my schedule around each pet’s needs, whether that’s morning routines, midday walks, medication times, or evening cuddle sessions. Because I’m not rushing off to an office or away for long hours, your pet gets the consistency and supervision they deserve. In my home, pets are never an afterthought — they’re part of my day. And yes, they usually become part of my heart too. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first in my care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I follow your routines and instructions closely so your pet feels relaxed, secure, and right at home. At the moment, I don’t have any pets or children, which means your pet gets my full attention in a calm, quiet environment. My home is very spacious — it’s essentially an entire home just for the pets I’m caring for. There’s plenty of room to move around, relax, and play without feeling crowded or overwhelmed. I keep everything clean, pet-safe, and free of hazards, and I’m very careful with doors, leashes, feeding, and supervision. When walking dogs, I use secure leashes and stay alert to keep them safe at all times. In your home, I treat your space with respect and stick closely to your pet’s normal routine so they stay comfortable and happy. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is simple: for you to feel completely at ease, and for your pet to feel loved, safe, and right at home.

Watching or walking dogs never seems to be a job for me because time goes by fast when you are having fun! I, myself had a German Shepherd, he passed away this last December. About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I have been dog sitting when I could. I retired from teaching after 29 years so now I have more time available to take care of more dogs. I am retired so I am home most days. We have a large fenced yard so dogs are safe. Your pup will get lots of one on one time and snuggles. I have a fenced clean yard. My dogs are very friendly but also have areas for quiet time if that is needed. If you prefer to stay at your house that is fine too. Retired teacher so my days are pretty open.

About: Am I knew to Rover? Yes. Am I knew to loving animals? Absolutely not, I've been an animal lover my entire life. As a child, I grew up with dogs, birds, ferrets, and hamsters. Currently have two boxer mix dogs of my own, and a toddler which counts as an animal in my book! I'm not able to board animals in my home at this time, but am open to all other kinds of pet care. Experience: Corn Snake Bearded Dragons Ferrets Cats Dogs Medication management Diapers I'm currently going to school and using Rover as my income, so I am available all hours of the day, including short notice. I love being outside and I'm able to bring my schooling with me wherever I go, so if you're looking for maximum flexibility then you've found it! In my client's home, I try to match the same energy and routine that your pet is already accustomed to. Having someone else enter their space is already shock enough, so having someone who is as close to normal as possible is important to me.

This was my first time using Rover so I didn't know what to expect. Booking was simple with Mary. She is very responsive and flexible. She came by before my travel for a meet and greet with my dog. He liked her and seemed very comfortable. During my trip there was great communication and pictures which showed my dog being very happy to spend time with her. She's a great choice if you're looking for reliability!

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely love. I currently have my own almost 2-year-old Lab, who is playful, friendly, and used to having other animals around. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies to relaxed seniors. My home has a fenced backyard, a doggy door, plenty of space to play and relax, and lots of toys! I’m happy to provide treats when approved by the owner and will always follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions. I’m also soon welcoming a newborn, so creating a calm, loving, and safe environment for every pet in my home is especially important to me. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re staying with family—not just being boarded. ❤️🐾 I currently have a completely open schedule and am not working outside of pet care, so I’m available throughout the day and can work around your schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m happy to accommodate different routines, drop-in times, walks, and boarding stays whenever possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll take the time to learn their routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I have a friendly dog of my own, Maggie, so I’ll always make sure any pets staying in my home are a safe and comfortable match. I’m also expecting a newborn soon, so it’s especially important that all pets in my home are comfortable around babies and that everyone has a safe environment.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
