About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was young, giving me over 20 years of hands-on experience with pups of all sizes and personalities. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, high-energy breeds, and shy or anxious dogs. I’m patient, calm, and attentive—your pet’s routine, comfort, and happiness always come first. I take pride in making sure every dog feels safe, loved, and understood while in my care. I currently am a stay at home parent, which gives me plenty of flexibility to devote quality time to your pets. I’m available for boarding on weekends weekday. Whether it’s daily walks, check-ins, or overnight stays, I make sure your pet gets consistent attention, playtime, and affection. I stay in close communication and keep routines as familiar as possible so your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard so your pup will always have a safe place to explore. I can easily crate your dog if requested or needed, and I follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, or special routines you provide. In your home, I respect your space and keep things clean, secure, and just the way you left them. You can count on me to treat your pet and your home with care and professionalism.

About: I have had pets my whole life. I have been around dogs and cats and have taken care of friends and family's pets. I currently am fostering a friend's two cats while they get back on their feet. I have a corgi that I have had since a puppy and two cats. I currently work Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. I can provide pet care anytime after that and on weekends. I am not available for overnights as I have children that need me. If a pet comes to my home I have a fenced backyard with a corgi that loves other dogs and cats. I have plenty of dog and cat toys. My cats, also, don't mind other pets.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. Each of them have something different that makes them lovable and special. Watching or walking dogs never seems to be a job for me because time goes by fast when you are having fun! I, myself had a German Shepherd, he passed away this last December. I work from home, just need wifi to hang out with your babies. I take meetings occasionally throughout the day, woofs and pets are always welcome. I have a two mainecoon cats. Both are very social and friendly. They both have been around a fair share of dogs and even a parrot.

Mary went over and above on her visits with Roxy and Little Roxy. She came morning and night for most of the week on days we arranged. She sent pics of the animals so my daughters would know the dogs were all good. She played ball with the dogs and Roxy even got to swim while Mary was with her. She went as far as throwing some grain into the pasture trough for use. Thanks so much Mary. We will be calling on the next trip. You can't go wrong with Mary!

About: I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities, including energetic and high-maintenance dogs. I have experience raising my own dog from a puppy and understand the patience, consistency, and attention pets need. I’ve also babysat a puppy, walked two large dogs at the same time, and helped care for dogs for friends and family. I enjoy keeping dogs active, comfortable, and safe, and I’m confident handling both calm and energetic pets. I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and I work part-time, so I can often accommodate pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and playtime. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication, and exercise routines. I have experience handling energetic and strong dogs, and I stay patient and calm in new situations. I make sure pets have fresh water, a safe environment, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.

About: I've taken care of every kind of dog i can think of from a teeny chihuahua to my late english bull terriers and pitbulls. (childhood dogs that grew up with me). I love helping to tire a dog out with outdoor activities or lounging around based on your pets vibe or your care instructions! Me and my family have also housed a large number of fosters. While i have never housed a cat myself ive watched my friends cats consistently growing up when theyve been on vacation or i was over at their houses. PLEASE NOTE while i love all animals i cannot work with reactive or aggressive animals for both mine and your pets saftey as i dont have enough experience handling more reactive and aggressive animals. I can also help in training younger pups most basic commands and some more advanced skills. i work 6am-6pm in a corporate desk setting monday through friday, and dont have much time during the weeks but on weekends im mainky free as a bird and like to fill my days with the gym, crocheting, reading and finding new music and tv shows to explore! I can't house your pet myself but i can surely come to you! As long as you arent too far away, i'll come

Sara was great coming in and feeding and playing with the dogs twice daily. She was always on time and stayed for the full 30 minutes each time. She took care to walk the dogs when the weather permitted and even cleaned up an accident in the house. Sara is a great dog sitter/walker and we will be using her services again in the future.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely love. I currently have my own almost 2-year-old Lab, who is playful, friendly, and used to having other animals around. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies to relaxed seniors. My home has a fenced backyard, a doggy door, plenty of space to play and relax, and lots of toys! I’m happy to provide treats when approved by the owner and will always follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions. I’m also soon welcoming a newborn, so creating a calm, loving, and safe environment for every pet in my home is especially important to me. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re staying with family—not just being boarded. ❤️🐾 I currently have a completely open schedule and am not working outside of pet care, so I’m available throughout the day and can work around your schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m happy to accommodate different routines, drop-in times, walks, and boarding stays whenever possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll take the time to learn their routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I have a friendly dog of my own, Maggie, so I’ll always make sure any pets staying in my home are a safe and comfortable match. I’m also expecting a newborn soon, so it’s especially important that all pets in my home are comfortable around babies and that everyone has a safe environment.

Kelly is a dog whisperer! My Frenchton is a rescue and super anxious. She handled her and won over her trust and sent a picture while also caring for my American bully/possible pit mix. She’s a 1 year old big hyper sweet girl. She was very communicative and it was worth every penny!

Emily has been so great with our babies! We have a sweet senior and a very playful puppy. She has been a great help for us. Both me and my husband work full time jobs and have a pretty busy schedule. Emily has definitely relieved a lot of our worries by being able to give our babies potty and playtime breaks at very random times and days. We will most definitely continue to reach out to her. Thanks Emily!

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Princeton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Princeton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Princeton. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
