“This was my first time having to get a pet sitter and I was nervous and anxious, but from our first messages exchanged, I knew Oline was going to be fantastic. And she just kept proving me right everyday she was caring for my babies. Her attention to detail when I walked her through my pets’ routines was amazing, and her communication while caring for them everyday was outstanding. I felt very confident having her care for my babies and will definitely be using her again if I need a sitter.”

“Amazing first visit with John! Always left the sweetest notes about Socks our cat and played with him so much! We appreciate him being so kind and loving to our guy. Made me have so much peace of mind while I was gone!”

“Laura was an amazing pet sitter! My cat got sick right before I left for a trip so i reached out to Laura last minute and she responded quickly and was able to do all of the check in visits I needed, as well as give my cat a pill each time which is not an easy task! And even after being given medicine my cat still loved Laura, we will definitely be using her again!”

“Ivanna is wonderful and took such great care of our pets! We loved getting the photo updates with every check-in and little notes that kept us worry-free. Thank you so much!”

“Rezvan did drop-in visits for my pup and it was a fantastic experience for both myself and my dog. She is communicative, punctual, and has a warm personality. I highly recommend Rezvan’s services.”

“Charlotte was an amazing pet sitter! Her communication was terrific and she was completely flexible when it came to our schedule and beloved pets. She was great sending pictures and making sure I was aware of anything that happened during her visit. We would happily hire her again! Highly recommend.”

“Joanna was absolutely incredible! We highly recommend her! She gave our sweet kitty boy the best care and all the cuddles he could imagine! She was fantastic in every way- caring, communicative, kind, dedicated, and very loving to our kitty. Joanna gave him the highest quality care at each visit, and provided detailed, thorough Rover card updates and photos. She diligently took care of his itchy ear problem with medication and gave plenty of feedback about how they were healing. Our cat adores her and loved his time with her! Joanna is wonderful!”

“This was my first time using Rover for a drop-in visit, and it went so well! My cats are usually very timid, shy, and not quick to trust people, but they actually came out and played with Stephanie even though it was their very first time meeting her. That really says a lot! She made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care, and I could tell she has a natural way with animals. I’m so glad I booked her and will definitely reach out again in the future.”

“Kimberly was amazing with my bunny Floppy. She is currently sick and fighting a condition and Kimberly was extremely kind making her company and keeping us updated on her health. When Floppy’s condition started to worsen, Kimberly was nice enough to take her to the vet to get checked out and pick her up as well. We are extremely grateful and appreciative with the way Kimberly took good care of our bunny. We definitely will be rebooking again for our next vacation. Your pets are in safe hands with Kimberly. Thank you!!”

“Katelyn did a great job caring for Cantaloa and administering medicine for her. She took photos and gave informative updates, so I knew that my cat was well taken care of.”

“Lauren is so great! She took care of our kitty for a week while we were away. She went above and beyond, sending detailed summaries of her visits and spending good quality time with our cat. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

About: What sets me apart is my background in dog grooming. I recently completed a grooming course in Peru and now work as a pet bather at PetSmart, on my way to becoming a certified dog stylist. Because I groom dogs, I’ve learned to notice the small signs — like tense body language or lip licking — that show a dog is getting anxious, so I can step in and calm them down before it becomes a bigger issue. On top of that, I live with my own senior chihuahua, a young high-energy Shepherd mix, and a cat, so I’m already used to handling very different personalities and energy levels day to day. I work full-time but I’m off at 5pm every day, which gives me time for afternoon walks, drop-in visits, and feedings right after work. I also have 2 days off during the week where I’m available any time of day for longer visits or sits. And since I’m a night owl, I’m happy to help pet parents who get home late — I can handle late-night walks or check-ins when other sitters might not be available. I’m also able to keep a consistent daily schedule, so your pet can count on the same routine they’re used to. With my own dogs, I walk them three times a day—morning, afternoon, and evening—for at least 15 minutes to keep them active and happy. If time allows, I enjoy taking longer walks depending on the dog’s energy level and needs. During the week, I also like taking them to a park or somewhere new so they can explore and smell new things for enrichment. At home, I always make time to play with them and keep them mentally stimulated. For my cat, I have a cat tree and several scratching posts around the house so they stay comfortable and entertained. When caring for a client’s pet, I make sure to follow their routine, feeding schedule, and any specific instructions so their pet feels safe and comfortable.
“Jane was great with my cat and sent prompt responses to all of my messages. She gave helpful updates and sent photos and videos, which was appreciated. She was patient with my girl, who is very shy with new people :) thank you, Jane!!”

“Eshita has been great! Redwood and General really like her. She's even had my shy cat out and about while she visits. Eshita takes and sends great photos and is awesome at keeping in touch while we are away.”

Tuna showed Rezvan her tummy and almost fell asleep from relaxation: let that speak for itself. Rezvan did a wonderful job making sure Tuna got her twice daily medication as well. I was able to go out of town stress free knowing she would get all the proper care!

As my first time using Rover, I was pretty nervous having someone check on my cats while I was away for vacation. Shama exceeded my expectations. She made sure to learn my cats routine and all the actions she needed to check while I was away. She provided details on what’s going on during the check-in’s that helped me feel relieved and comfortable my cats were doing good and taken care of. If you ever need any pet sitter to take care of your cats, I highly recommend Shama.

Lauren always does a fabulous job! We have had her sit for our two cats many times now, they adore her! One of mine is super skiddish, never comes out for strangers and lets her carry him like a baby. She is super reliable, punctual, easy going. Highly recommend choosing her for your pets!

Charlotte was an amazing pet sitter! Her communication was terrific and she was completely flexible when it came to our schedule and beloved pets. She was great sending pictures and making sure I was aware of anything that happened during her visit. We would happily hire her again! Highly recommend.

My cat sitter that I’ve used for years was retiring and I was in panic mode to find a new sitter. My sister recommended Rover. I did 3 Meet and Greets and Jackie stood out! She was comfortable, knowledgeable, and interested in my cats, not just what she was expected to do. So glad we met. And her services were perfect. Always sent note and pics each day. I was never concerned and could enjoy my vacation. I will be rebooking for my next trip!!! Thank you Jackie ❤️

Haley was awesome! She was very attentive and took such great care of my cats while I was away. They absolutely loved playing with her, and it was clear they were comfortable and happy. I knew they were in good hands the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely recommend Haley to anyone looking for a caring and reliable cat sitter!
Jennifer and Jonathan were amazing!! Jonathan came over the day before to meet the pets and have a quick walk through. They updated us with pictures and a note every visit and everything was just how we left it when we got back! Would definitely recommend and book again.
Katelyn is very thorough and takes good care of our cat. She administers medicine and spends time playing with her. She even offered to refill the litter, but we didn’t have the bags accessible to her, so we told her it was okay. We appreciate the photo updates and messages about how she’s doing! Katelyn is great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Addison. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
