“Lauren took wonderful care of our pets. Even our most timid kitty warmed up to her. Happy to be home with them but there isn’t any better feeling than to know they were well taken care of, while we were away.”

“I knew right from our meet and greet that Rezvan would be amazing — she pulled out treats and catnip like a total pro, and my cats instantly took notice! She has such a positive, calm energy, and even my more reserved cat warmed up to her surprisingly quickly. Rezvan followed all instructions perfectly — she gave Mia her medication, fed both cats, and kept everything tidy. She sent so many adorable photos and videos (which my friends and family also loved), and it was so reassuring to see the cats happy and relaxed while I was away. One thing that really stood out to me was her thoughtfulness. After giving Mia her oral medication, she even held and soothed her — something I usually do myself because it comforts her (and apparently mimics purring!). That small gesture meant so much to me. She also noticed that neighbors were putting their trash out and kindly put mine out too, which I hadn’t even asked her to do. When I came home, both cats were in great spirits, which tells me they were well cared for and loved. I’ll absolutely be booking Rezvan again the next time I’m out of town. Thank you so much for everything!”

“Oline was an absolute joy to work with! She was prompt to respond and super flexible. Our golden retriever loved her dearly and we will be requesting her again!”

“Jenn and Jon were amazing to rebook again and thankfully were able to make a last minute booking. I know my sweet fur babe was in great hands and well cared for. We got timely updates, lovely pics and notes on how Sky was doing. Look forward to rebooking them again the next time we take vacation!”

“Ivanna is wonderful and took such great care of our pets! We loved getting the photo updates with every check-in and little notes that kept us worry-free. Thank you so much!”

“Laura was an amazing pet sitter! My cat got sick right before I left for a trip so i reached out to Laura last minute and she responded quickly and was able to do all of the check in visits I needed, as well as give my cat a pill each time which is not an easy task! And even after being given medicine my cat still loved Laura, we will definitely be using her again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Krista. She will be our regular cat sitter moving forward. She was kind enough to add a visit at the last moment when I was worried about our cats. She is such a cat lover and has taken SUCH good care of our boys over the last 10 days. She has went above and beyond.”

“Stephanie was so easy to work with and very responsive. She cared for my 2 cats while I was on vacation. She is sooo good with cats, pays great attention to details, and took time to play with my fur babies. Even my super shy rescue cat loved her right away! Will definitely rely on Stephanie again in future trips! Highly recommend her service.”

Katelyn is very thorough and takes good care of our cat. She administers medicine and spends time playing with her. She even offered to refill the litter, but we didn’t have the bags accessible to her, so we told her it was okay. We appreciate the photo updates and messages about how she’s doing! Katelyn is great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Addison. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
