“Avery is awesome! She was incredibly responsive, coordinated with last minute requests, stopped by exactly when she said she would, and took great care of my cat while I was away. She kept me updated and made the whole process completely stress-free. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Dana was AMAZING this last weekend! We took a last minute trip and Dana came to the rescue with pet coverage. She left detailed descriptions and provided tons of pictures. Highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a pet sitter!!”

“Regan was so great! Sent lots of pictures and notes with each visit. Came exactly when we needed her to and gave our pups lots of love. This was our first time using Rover but will definitely use again. Would love to book Regan again!”

“Demi was excellent. She was communicative the entire time we were gone, with updates, pictures and videos. Mr. Eleanor Roosevelt told us that he had a great time each time Demi visited! We would definitely have Demi sit him again!”

“If you're looking for a dog sitter who will provide your furry friend with the love, care, and attention they deserve, look no further than Katherine. My wife and I recently hired Katherine to take care of our beloved Rufus while we were away, and we couldn't have been more impressed with the level of care and attention Ru received. Throughout the course of my trip, Katherine kept me updated with frequent text messages and photos, so I always knew that my Rufus was happy, healthy, and well-cared-for. Katherine took my Ru on walks, played with him in the backyard, and even cleaned him up after he got sick. I felt completely at ease knowing that Rufus received the care and attention he deserves - we will utilize her services again in the future.”

About: I have grown up with animals and currently have two dogs, Charlie and Chelsea! I grew up wanting to be a vet, which resulted in me learning all that I could about animals. I have so much love for them and would have a hundred of my own if I could! I am very responsible and respectful of what owners do and don’t want their pets to do. I have had both small and large dogs of my own throughout my life, so I am comfortable with all sizes and breeds. I work from home most days and have a flexible schedule. I love to get out and be active as much as I can during my week! I also love to relax, so an animal who just needs some company is great too. I have a fenced in yard at home and two friendly dogs (a Lab and a Border Collie Mix). They love to be outside and play.

“Bonny took great care of our cats while we were out of town and make herself available on short notice! She went out of her way to come over prior to us going out of town to meet the cats for no extra charge, highly recommend Bonny to take care of your pets”

“Ashley is so communicative about what is happening with the pets! I felt so reassured and I knew my dogs were well taken care of. I love my dogs so much and I felt like she does too- very spoiled! Thanks, Ashley”

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs from previous working at doggy daycares. Cleaning, giving medication, understanding when dogs need help, and creating a positive fun environment are all important to me when taking care of animals. I’ve looked over small, medium and big dogs before, and I have three cats of my own. One senior cat and two younger ones! I’m currently in college, but I’m now on break for the summer and weekends are typically always free! In August I will be moving to Denton for school so my location now won’t be the same starting in the fall. If I’m not able to make room in my schedule I will definitely communicate with you. Safety is my number one priority when working with animals. I like to ensure that the back yard is fenced so no one escapes! If wanting to go to the dog park, I always ensure Im focused and have no distractions Incase of an emergency. For cats I don’t let them outside unless owner says otherwise. My cats personally are all indoor cats :)
“Amie was absolutely amazing. She cared for and loved our cats while we were gone. She patiently gave medicine to our very ill cat and was there with him to the end. She went above and beyond and we are so very appreciative of her.”

“The dogs seem very happy and content with Ashley And that's what's important She watched over my house, and dealt with multiple boxes shipped to my house. Everything was kept up with perfectly”

“Makayla took great care of our 2 cats! She was super communicative and sent lots of pictures. We will definitely book her again in the future and would highly recommend her!”

About: Loving dog owner of 3 rescues with a long standing history of dog/house sitting for friends and neighbors. I am passionate about the quality care of all animals and will treat your dogs as my own. Good with animals of varying demeanor and possess the ability to bond quickly with your pet. The care of your animal is of the utmost importance to me and will keep them safe and healthy until you return to your special friend. I’m an early riser and my attention is on animals first before I even start the day and are the last things I tend to before I go to bed. I have a large fenced in yard to keep your pets secure. There are also 2 dog doors for them to easily come and go outside as they please. I have 3 small friendly dogs who love to have company. I also have a crate and pen if needed.

About: Hello, my name is Sherri. I am a mom of six, Nonna to three grandbabies, and a mom to two fur babies: a Bassdore (Basset hound/Lab mix) named Abbey and a tabby named Birdie. Although I am new to pet sitting, I have cared for dogs (mostly) and cats throughout my life. As adults, my late husband and I have owned numerous breeds of dogs, from Chihuahuas and German Shepherds to Siberian Huskies, an Akita, and several mixed breeds. I also frequently look after my daughter's three dogs when she goes out of town. I've used Rover and other pet sitting services many times when I travel, so I understand how reassuring it is to know your pets are well cared for while you’re away. I am available for Drop-In Visits and Boarding. My kids (still at home), ages 9 and 18, love all animals, so your fur baby will never lack attention! I am currently not working, so I have some flexibility. I do have to take my high schooler to school and pick him up from after-school activities, and I have to be home to put my 3rd grader, who is special needs, on the bus and be home in the afternoon to get him off the bus. For Boarding: I have a spacious fenced yard with a covered patio. My Basset Hound Lab mix, Abbey, enjoys playdates. If your pet prefers solitude, I can close off the living room and dining/kitchen area to keep them separated. My boys, who are still at home, are 9 and 18, and they will give lots of love and attention. For drop-in visits, I am happy to provide any necessary care and handle extra tasks such as watering plants, retrieving the mail, or taking out the trash. However, I cannot do walks due to a wonky knee, which limits my walking distance.
About: I have 1 year of hands-on experience working in an animal shelter in Mexico, caring for dogs and cats. I helped with bathing, feeding, and keeping animals calm and happy. I’m passionate about pets’ wellbeing, patient with every personality, and quick to learn how to meet each animal’s needs. Your pets will be safe, loved, and well cared for in my hands. I’m available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, so I can fit visits into your cat’s usual routine. I can also take dogs for walks in the mornings while caring for your cat at home. I adapt to each pet’s needs to keep them happy, safe, and loved. I provide safe, loving care either at my home or yours. I follow routines, offer food, cuddles, and playtime, and make sure pets feel happy, calm, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Marina was so responsive and real one for replying and helping with a request the day before my trip. She was super positive in her texting tone and was quick to reply. So glad that she was on-time and helpful. She sent happy photos of my pup, and left a very detailed account of her visit. Thank goodness for Marina, and I’ll definitely use her again.”

About: As long as I could remember, I have had a furry friend next to me. Dogs have always been my passion. Friends, family and neighbors rely on me to accommodate their pets. I really started taking care of dogs when I was eight and since then, I haven’t stopped. Walking them, feeding, or even giving belly scratches will always be part of my routine. If you and your furry friend have different rules y'all follow, don’t be afraid to let me know! I want to make sure you and your friend feel comfortable. I welcome anything and anyone! I’m currently working a part time job, so i’ll have time for anything as of right now! I am also a college student but I only go to school twice a week. My availability varies since my job call me in when needed. But I always make time for my pets and can make time for yours! Having a healthy environment around your and my own pets, will be my top priority. Having time and space will help everyone in the long run. It’s important for me to reassure them and keep them comfortable as possible. It can be playing catch with them, taking them on walks or giving them endless belly scratches.
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors and family pets for 10+ years. I also have 2 cats. I use to have a husky, beaded dragon and 2 mice in college. I love walking dogs and seeing their personalities when they get excited. I also like reptiles and all other creatures. I work M-F from 8am-4pm and am available on weekdays after 4pm. My weekends are open to dog/cat sit. I live on the Katy Trail and I am an early bird. I would take care of your pet at your house. I can walk them for as long as you would like and give them unlimited love!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - White Rock
Maria was wonderful! She visited my home the night before our trip to meet my pets and learn a few things, which made me much more at ease about leaving for a week. She cared for my dog and cat, checked on my outdoor cats, and handled small tasks I hadn't considered, such as adjusting the house temperature when the outside temperature dropped significantly and then rose again. Thanks to her, I could relax and enjoy my trip, confident that my home was in good hands. I will definitely request to book Maria again when the need arises!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Rock. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
