“Haylee was amazing with Fable and took the time to stop by to get to know her and to get familiar with the house and her needs. Excellent sitter, highly recommended! Thank you so much Haylee”

“Lauren was truly wonderful with my dog! Ducky is very anxious around strangers but warms up given enough time. Lauren was so understanding and patient with her and met Ducky wherever she was at in terms of boundaries. I really appreciated her keeping me updated on their progress together through the weekend. Ducky clearly grew to trust her, and I look forward to working with Lauren again!”

“Here’s a polished Rover review: Emily was a great help with my girls. She arrived on time, was communicative, and even turned around to provide additional help when we needed it. My boyfriend’s plans changed unexpectedly, and she was incredibly flexible with her schedule. She spent quality time playing with the girls and kept us updated by sending videos throughout her visit. We really appreciated her reliability, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond. I would absolutely recommend her and would book with her again!”

“Adri is always amazing. this was the 3rd time she stayed w my cats, they love her ! thanks Adri for all you do for us and for the xmas gifts!!!! Pri, Lana and Coachella”

“Chaka is the best dog sitter. This is my first time ever using a service like this and she made things so easy with the process of getting to know my dog (K2) and me from start to finish. She's always going above and beyond and her care for my dog is level 1000% thank you Chaka!!!”

“Michelle took great care of our cats while we were out of town. She was comfortable giving out sick cat oral medications. Would definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: I have taken care of pups since I can remember I had my first fur baby when I was in my early 20's. I love outdoor walks, dog walking is a plus for me. I enjoy taking care of animals, giving them the attention they need and give them the love they deserve. I am constantly around animals every day and I love it. I do currently work part-time in my days off I do take care of my 8 year old nephew and he's 4 year old toy poodle name Jordi which I enjoy I feed him play with him, give him hes potty breaks, do walks with them both. Its in my DNA I love to take care of people and furr animals. I also do have a 2 year old cat her name is Athena I got her when she was 4 weeks old and love every second of it. Our days consist of cuddling she likes being rubbed. I would do drop in visits, make sure to feed them play with them, would love to do walks with them and make sure they are happy and comfortable.
“Brittany and Tadas were great! Came on time and frequently sent updates. They asked if there was anything in particular they needed to know to care for Monty and were wonderful with how shy he can be with new people.”

“Sidney was amazing for watching my cat Mikey! She gave him lots of love during her visits, was on time, and was super communicative with updates. Will definitely use her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Devoney, and I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up, my family had many cats and a small dog, which taught me from an early age the importance of patience, responsibility, and giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I have dog-sat and cat-sat for family friends many times. Over the years, I've also learned to care for my own senior cats and understand the extra compassion, gentleness, and attentiveness they often need. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away! I am dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to following your pet's routine, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions. I also know how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so I am more than happy to provide regular updates and photos. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and providing them with loving, reliable care! I am currently an SMU Law student, so my pet-sitting schedule is flexible around my classes. I am available any day of the week, depending on what I need to get done for school. Luckily, I live 5 minutes from campus, so I am more than able to go back and forth if needed, if your pet comes to my house. I currently have an older ragdoll cat in my home, but she keeps to herself and is shy around other animals. I can also keep her in a room by herself if your pet needs no contact. For dogs, while I do not have a backyard, I have a front yard full of grass, and I am a less-than-5-minute walk to the Katy Trail, so I am more than happy to take them on long walks if that's what they like!

“Kyle was amazing! He was extra attentive to Kenzie while I was away and had no problem doing all the extra steps for her senior care. He takes amazing pictures too! He even programmed my TV to help her have some background noise. I know she enjoyed his visits. He also has fantastic communication and is a very honest human! I will definitely use him again!”

“Kelsey was EXCELLENT! I had her watch my cat for a few days and he has never been as calm/happy when I returned from some time away than the weekend when Kelsey looked after him. She was so easy to communicate with and her responses were always quick. I will absolutely have her watch my cat again when I leave town for a few days :)”
About: I too, use Rover when I have to travel. I thought it would be great to Pup/Pet-sit traveling. Pets are my Zen and comedy show! I am a Pro Sports Recovery Provider and I have a flexible schedule. This allows for multiple walks and extra play time and cuddles too. I follow instructions as indicated. I mind the Parent do & don'ts for their fur baby. I keep the established routine and communicate as requested.
“Catherine is so sweet. She did a great job caring for my babies. She also brought in packages and broke down a box for me. Definitely went above and beyond!”

Sierra did a wonderful job watching our cat babies while we were on vacation. She was quick to respond and sent detailed updates while we were gone. She followed our instructions perfectly and even went above and beyond when one of cats had an accident. She sent great picture updates and made us feel so at ease about our cats being well cared for! We would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone to pet sit!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Highland Park. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
