âMe and Niko have had a wonderful experience this week and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. They took amazing care of my puppy Niko and gave me peace of mind while I was away. Communication was great on the days he stayed with updates and photos that made me feel reassured and connected. It was obvious Niko was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated the attention, kindness, and care they showed, and I would definitely book with them again in the future!â

About: About me: I have time & quality care to give to the pet(s) you love while walking or pet/house sitting because I'm an online college student. I have 22 years of dog, cat and other pet care experience to include pet walking, training, transporting, vet visits & pet/house sitting listed in detail below. I'm starting in the job field of Animal Behavior on completion of my college degree. My previous career of 21 years was in oceanography, & I look forward to giving your pet the love and attention they deserve. Experience in DOG CARE: In the last 22 years, on the side of my regular job, I have been trusted by family, friends and new clients via word of mouth to pet sit for canines of all sorts to include senior dogs, dogs with cancer, high energy dogs, shy and nervous dogs, a Great Dane, puppies and multi-pet households. Experience in CAT CARE: I've been cat sitting for 21 years for senior cats, cats with diabetes, cats with swimmerâs syndrome, one cat in a wheelchair, shy cats, active cats, multi-pet households, hairless cats, indoor/outdoor cats, indoor only cats, outdoor only cats & kittens. ADDITIONAL PET CARE: I also have 22 years' pet sitting experience with other pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fresh water fish, turtles, geese and pigs. In my free time, I've rescued, rehabilitated, trained, fostered and been a pet owner to both dogs and cats in Texas, Virginia, California, Hawaii, Spain and the Kingdom of Bahrain. I have also volunteered at animal rescue and no-kill shelters in all of those places as follows: Humane Society, PAWS of Texas, Hawai'i Bird Rescue, Hawai'i Marine Animal Response, Rota Animal Welfare League Spain, and Bahrain SPCA. I am available for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation and moving because I'm a full-time online university student. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you, but I do not have the availability to board animals in my residence at this time. My goal is to keep your pet(s) in their routine with the same worry-free, stress-free care as you have set up for them for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation or moving. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you. I offer pet transportation in my own vehicle as well, but I do not have boarding facilities available at this time.
âPaige was wonderful and made me feel at ease with hourly updates and photos while my dog Roxy was in her care. Roxy was all smiles and that totally warms my heart! Iâm so happy to have found Paige. An even bigger perk is she is so close to me. I plan to rebook Paigeâs services very very soon. Thank you, Paige!â

âI am so grateful for Rita. I have a reactive Pitt who was rescued from severe neglect at about 1 year old. I am very cautious about who I leave him with and I have to say I trust Rita implicitly with my dogs. Firstly they love her, she spends actual time with them and I know she can handle my Bossko no problem. Rita has an understanding of dogs and their behavior/needs that has been literally life saving for my dog. That probably sounds dramatic but we were having some big behavioral issues surrounding a move and I was starting to worry about safety but also refused to give up on my dog. Rita offered some insight as to what he might be needing from me and offered some ideas on a routine and safety measures I could implement to help him (things that are actually sustainable in my busy life as a single mom) and it has been a game changer! I can see the difference in his demeanor, in his recovery from stressful events, and he's so much more happy and fulfilled. My whole house is so much more calm and settled and I get to give him a happier life. Rita's understanding and compassionate care for dogs is unmatched, and I'm a better dog mom as a result.â

âDanielle was wonderful! We met the day before, and she showed me what her home looked like, we talked about Russetâs needs, and he met her dog for an easy drop off next day. She took excellent care of Russet, who got great sun,and sent pictures throughout the day.â

âCortney was so incredible with my pups. They are very different and she made them both feel so comfortable, sent lots of photos and tired them out so they passed out when they came home. Weâll definitely be going back.â

âKellie and Richard were incredible! Our Jet had a blast with them and they treated him like royalty! We were a last minute booking that need someone to watch him for a few hours while we enjoyed the fair after checking out of our AirBnB. They were experienced, confident and comfortable even with a pup that is attached to me at the hip. It wasnât easy to give Rover a first go, but after this experience we would do it again in a heartbeat. If Kellie is available, book her! If we are in the area again, we might just see if they are available again!â

âLynnsee was AMAZING! Best rover experience weâve had so far. Within ten minutes of us dropping off our dogs, she had already sent us pictures and told us she had trimmed their both their nails for us! She continued to send us videos and pictures throughout the day and was great with communication! Sheâs definitely our new local doggy daycare. She took great care of our pupsâ

About: Iâve been around dogs my entire life and have cared for them since I was a child. Growing up with dogs taught me how important patience, attention, and love are when caring for pets. I have experience taking care of dogs for family members and friends, including feeding, walking, playing, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet like part of the family and always focus on providing a calm, caring, and dependable environment. Im a homemaker so my schedule is very flexible. Iâam available any day of the week including weekends. Which ever time and day is more convenient for you. I have a fenced backyard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. Iâll make sure they have fun and enjoy their stay with us.
About: We love dogs more than we love humans hehe So much that we are quite literally referred to by our friends and family as the ones that choose to spend their weekends with their dogs than socialize with society...I mean...why wouldn't you?? We've been taking care of dogs since we were 10 years old and are very comfortable with any age range of pups! We currently have two dogchildren that we adopted from the shelters--Shadow, our 4 year old German Shepherd with a giant body and and even more giant heart, and Casper, our goofy little maltese mix that will never leave you not smiling. They are both excellent with other dogs as we've watched several dogs for our friends and family over the years. We also have experience with our family dogs that we've helped raise since they were puppies! SO ANYWAYS...HUGE dog people, so let us know if you have any questions and need us to take care of your sweet baby bears! One of us works from home full time and one works from home hybrid. We're typically home most of the days and if needed, can stay home for your sweet pups that need the extra love! Spoiling all and every pups in our care is our favorite thing to do. We also love playing with the dogs, taking them on walks, and have a fenced-in backyard for them to play freely.

âJulian always comes through when I need him. I saw my dog seemed sad and Julian agreed to come by and pick him up for some fun with very short notice. I know my dog loves his time with Julian and I appreciate him so much for keeping my baby happy.â

âI recently had the pleasure of utilizing the professional dog-sitting services provided by Iovanna B. From the moment I dropped off my dog, I was impressed by the level of care and attention they received. Iovanna's communication was prompt and informative, putting my mind at ease while I was away. Her professionalism and genuine love for animals were evident throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Iovanna B's doggie sitting service to anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy care for their pet.â

About: Growing up with animals all my life, I shared my love with my own kids by volunteering with our local shelter and rescues with my kiddos. With over 200 foster dogs, many of which were puppies, they are naturals and know much about pet care. We have 2 small dogs and 1 cat (inside/outside) of our own who are also accustom to other animals through our home. For care in your home, I can come by up to 4 times a day - walk, feed, water, potty breaks and play/cuddle. When at my house, I work from home, so potty breaks, walks and outside time are frequent. A typical day around here consists of potty breaks first thing and meals distributed in the morning. However, if you have a different schedule, I can accommodate that. At your home, we will start with time outside, then feed/water as needed, cuddle and play, and always go back outside for potty time before departure. We can also follow any instructions you might have. At my home, I have a very large backyard (several acres) that is currently partially fenced. While I am working on a smaller fenced area for our guests, if needed, I have a 50' lead where your dog will be fully supervised but allowed to run, play and sunbathe. Also, we will go on leashed walks.

About: Iâve been a foster parent in the past. Iâve always had a natural love for dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether thatâs going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. Iâm responsible, attentive, and patient, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Iâll treat your pup with the same care and attention Iâd want for my own, while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while youâre away! My schedule is flexible throughout the week, with plenty of availability for walks, playtime, overnight stays, and personalized care. I donât mind taking them for walks. I have a spacious home with a large fenced backyard, plus plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor play, and comfortable downtime. I will keep them Indoors in the heat and will only take them out for walks early morning and late evening when the heat index isnât too hot

If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
