“Paige was wonderful and made me feel at ease with hourly updates and photos while my dog Roxy was in her care. Roxy was all smiles and that totally warms my heart! I’m so happy to have found Paige. An even bigger perk is she is so close to me. I plan to rebook Paige’s services very very soon. Thank you, Paige!”

“Me and Niko have had a wonderful experience this week and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. They took amazing care of my puppy Niko and gave me peace of mind while I was away. Communication was great on the days he stayed with updates and photos that made me feel reassured and connected. It was obvious Niko was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated the attention, kindness, and care they showed, and I would definitely book with them again in the future!”

With my personable spirit and love for the animals I have been recognized by my peers and colleagues on numerous occasions about my enthusiasm and passion for care taking. About: I’ve been a foster parent in the past. I’ve always had a natural love for dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I’m responsible, attentive, and patient, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’ll treat your pup with the same care and attention I’d want for my own, while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! My schedule is flexible throughout the week, with plenty of availability for walks, playtime, overnight stays, and personalized care. I don’t mind taking them for walks. I have a spacious home with a large fenced backyard, plus plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor play, and comfortable downtime. I will keep them Indoors in the heat and will only take them out for walks early morning and late evening when the heat index isn’t too hot
About: Hi, I'm Leslie! This is my alternative option since my husband refused to allow me and adopt another fur baby 😅. I've had dogs my entire life. From the time I was a toddler, dogs have been a constant and beloved presence in my world. Growing up, my family always had at least one furry friend, and caring for them became second nature to me. I’ve owned dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and each one has taught me something new about love, patience, and responsibility. My daily routine includes long, enjoyable walks, playful training sessions, and careful grooming to keep my dogs healthy and happy. I understand the importance of personalized care and make sure to tailor my approach to meet each dog's unique needs and personality. My home is filled with love and laughter, with plenty of toys, cozy spots for naps, and, of course, lots of belly rubs. My lifelong experience with dogs has given me a deep understanding of their behavior and needs, ensuring they always feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I genuinely love dogs and find immense joy in their companionship. If you’re looking for a reliable, passionate, and experienced dog sitter, I’d be thrilled to take care of your furry friend as if they were my own. MEET AND GREET REQUIRED Dogs MUST be vaccinated. I’m an elementary teacher who is off in the summer and looking to keep myself occupied during this long break at home. I’m home all day basically unless I run to the store. I live in a house with a big back yard where your fur babies can run around and enjoy nature! We will always have someone out there as well to make sure everything is okay.
“Amazing person and very friendly. She cares for your puppy like her own. Lets you know your baby is okay through pictures and messages throughout your babies stay. Overall just awesome.”

About: I bring a lifetime of dog-parenting experience to every stay. Having grown up with dogs and owning my own today, I view pets as true family members. My background means I instinctively understand dog behavior, daily routines, and proper care—giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away I offer flexible, part-time pet care Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability. Because I own my own business, my schedule is adaptable—with just a week’s notice, I can easily fit your furry friend into my routine! I have a fenced yard, 2 older daughters for extra eyes and care for your furry friends. I do have a small dog of my own that is friendly, and sometimes can use a companion to play with.

“Lynnsee was AMAZING! Best rover experience we’ve had so far. Within ten minutes of us dropping off our dogs, she had already sent us pictures and told us she had trimmed their both their nails for us! She continued to send us videos and pictures throughout the day and was great with communication! She’s definitely our new local doggy daycare. She took great care of our pups”
About: As a devoted dog owner for 12 years, I deeply understand the love, companionship, and joy our furry friends bring into our lives. After the passing of my beloved dog “Trouble” on August 6, 2023, I’ve found fulfillment in caring for other pets. I would be honored to walk, play with, and shower your pups with affection, ensuring they feel loved and cared for in your absence. I work from home full time and am a devoted mother to five children, all over the age of 8, who share my deep love for dogs. After losing our beloved family dog of 12 years in August 2023, we’ve felt a big void in our lives. We’re now in the process of adopting a new fur baby to bring that warmth back into our home. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine, and I truly look forward to giving your precious pets the love, attention, and companionship they deserve. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard perfect for dogs to play safely. I will be the only person caring for pets during all bookings — no one else will assist with pet care. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities.
“I am so grateful for Rita. I have a reactive Pitt who was rescued from severe neglect at about 1 year old. I am very cautious about who I leave him with and I have to say I trust Rita implicitly with my dogs. Firstly they love her, she spends actual time with them and I know she can handle my Bossko no problem. Rita has an understanding of dogs and their behavior/needs that has been literally life saving for my dog. That probably sounds dramatic but we were having some big behavioral issues surrounding a move and I was starting to worry about safety but also refused to give up on my dog. Rita offered some insight as to what he might be needing from me and offered some ideas on a routine and safety measures I could implement to help him (things that are actually sustainable in my busy life as a single mom) and it has been a game changer! I can see the difference in his demeanor, in his recovery from stressful events, and he's so much more happy and fulfilled. My whole house is so much more calm and settled and I get to give him a happier life. Rita's understanding and compassionate care for dogs is unmatched, and I'm a better dog mom as a result.”

“Migdalia has great communication in the app and sent several photos. She did a good job making sure our dog was introduced to her first, then explore the house, then meet the other dogs last. She gave us a debrief on how he did when we picked him up. We plan to use her again.”

“Carla was incredibly sweet and a great communicator. She sent us many pictures of our puppy playing with her dog Khloe and getting love! Will definitely book with her again 🤩”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life , I love them to pieces. I keep them active and will do as you’d like for your fur baby! I’ll take them for rides to the park if they love rides and or parks ! I have a dog park right behind my place. I can bathe them if need be! If they stay over night they can sleep in the bed with me. Just like a kid , if you don’t allow something then nor will I ! I have pets of my own so I ask that your pet be UTD on shots and not aggressive what so ever. No pets that chew , unless you send them with their toys. If boarding please bring their bed and crate , for times I go to work. I work close to my house so they will still be let out during the day. I work 3 days a week , home the rest :) feel free to contact me with any questions you may have ! Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I love animals and have a flexible schedule, I work around you and your baby! Wether that be in your home or mine; they will have similar schedules. In my home: the garage is shut before the main door is opened. My yard is fenced and locked and they will never go out alone. I say that so you know your baby will not have the freedom to attempt escape.
“Very friendly and kind , went the extra mile by sending frequent notifications. Great availability. Love the other pets allow socializing for my puppy.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rose Hill
Hi Paige and Juan, Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Jax this past week. The daily photo updates of him playing and looking so happy gave me total peace of mind throughout my trip. When I picked him up, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. I couldn't be happier with the experience and will definitely book with you again!

Lupe was great! She watched our pups for the day while we were visiting Dallas so that we could see some friends and catch a baseball game. She provided updates and photos throughout the day to ensure us that our pups were in good hands. We appreciate you Lupe!

Sherry is wonderful with Waffle! She’s only had Waffle two different days for daycare, but she seems to really like Waffle and takes great care of her, making sure she has fun and playtime! I feel confident Waffle is having a good time when she’s at Sherry’s house!

Deneisha is an angel! She accepted my last minute request for a sitter, and i am truly grateful for her kindness in doing so! She was very kind, and sent updates throughout the day. I was unsure of how my mini would handle playing with her dog only because he hadn't been around a lot of big dogs before, but by the video she sent, he had a blast! I feel He really enjoyed his time with Deneisha, and i would certainly book again! Thank you again, Deneisha! 🤎

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
